Kay nodded. I'm not a particularly good dancer, but if it will make you happy.

Matt shrugged. "Hey, galactic common isn't my native tongue. But.. nah, i'll go with pretty." He tried to steal a kiss. "Beautiful even. "

She softly smiled and took his hand, Thanks... And trust me it been eon since I danced

Thaila was stunned enough for matt to get his stolen kissed, he huffed and glared but obviously was silenced for now.

Kay smiled and lead Heny onto the dance floor.

"You can always teach me." He offered, ignoring the first part.

Matt considered that. "I could try? i've never tried to teach anyone a language before... " He pondered, wondering how you'd ever start.

Heny didnt honestly mind as it took her mind a few minutes to remember how to dance again.

"start with basics then go from there." He said with a shrug.

Matt shrugged. "Well, i'll see what I can do. It's not a pretty language. Not like some of them out there." He laughed and nodded toward Heny and Kay "Look who decided to loosen up"

Thaila chuckled, "They been needing it... And dude it cant be as bad as Minotaurian." Hd face turn soured.

"Wouldn't know, never heard it." Matt laughed. "Kevali is pretty odd too, but i'm not totally fluent in it. It's really hard for a non native speaker. "

Merith couldn't help but burst out laughing, his lungs opening and tickling his insides a bit, loosening the tension in him, "Reiden is a little bit of both. He's a bit of an ass, and his jokes are crude, but they don't have any ill-will in them. He's a good kid, just a little hasty and brash at times. The first time I met him, was when he walked up to me after finding out about what had happened, and literally said straight to my face, 'Wow, that must have really sucked. Should I punch you now, or wait 'til later so you can get mobbed by these people of Vestia-what's-her-face?'"

Merith blinked as he noticed Heny and Kay join together on the dance floor. Immediately he got the message, but as he straightened, he hesitated, looking uncertain and, oddly enough, somehow felt a bit insulted by the gesture.

Kay's gaze fell on Asher, and immediately he looked away. But he noticed they had Merith's attention. He smiled at Heny and shot Merith a "get over here you freaking idiot" look.

Asher chuckled. "I'll have to talk to him sometime." He noticed Merith's gaze on Heny, "Go dance with her. She really wants you to enjoy yourself." He smiled at Kay, then pretended to be looking at Heny.

Merith smiled, but before he could say anything his gaze shifted from the dance floor to the doorway, and chuckled, "Speak of the devil..."

Reiden Shock stood at the door, watching the goings on with Heny, Kay and Merith. He began making gestures to Merith, obviously trying to get him to step in too but being so vague and ambiguous it just gave the man a chortle and a confused look, "What? What is he doing?..."

Finally the bird man stopped and had a sly grin akin to Merith himself spread across his face. Merith raised an eyebrow and though they couldn't hear each other from across the room, he asked aloud, "What are you planning."

There was a noise of breaking sound barrier and Merith found himself in the arms of Heny, dizzied by the sheer speed of being dragged off by the wing man, while Reiden himself slowed just a few feet away with Kay in his arms and leading a dance, singing to the song obnoxiously but on purpose as he brazenly leaned in for a kiss on Kay's lips.

Kay stared at Shock in... well... shock. Leant away from him and smacked him square in the face in retaliation.
Get off me. He glared and tried to disentangle himself from the bird man.

Shock sprung away after getting slapped, but seemed good-natured about it in the knowledge that he deserved it, as he was not promptly laughing so hard some of his feathers began to fluff in disarray. "Aw, but I wanted a kissy!"

Kay scowled, Straightened his clothing and froze, because now everyone was looking at them to see what the fuss was about.

Matt even remarked "Ooo bad plan chicken man, bad plan." while trying very hard not to laugh himself.

Asher looked at Shock for a long moment, more than a bit, well, shocked by the turn of events. He walked over to stand next to Kay, a bit protectively, very pissed off by Shock's inappropriate behavior.

Kay looked up at Asher and shook his head, it wasn't worth a fight and besides, everyone was watching them and he would rather they all stopped thank you.
He shot Shock one last glare, and left the dance floor.

Shock looked between the two men, before his eyebrows raised and he bowed dramatically, "My apologies, good Sir. Didn't realize you were a taken man." Suddenly there was another whip-like sound yet again and Asher and Kay would find themselves squished together and comically spinning and stumbling over each other from the sheer wind created by the Avian, who promptly settled down on the wall where Merith previously was, leaning back with his arms folded and a dopey but content smile on his face.

Asher decided that he disliked Shock very much, but decided the best plan of action was ignore him. He looked at Kay, seeing if he appeared to be hurt. "Are you all right?"

Kay did actually manage to keep his balance, somehow. He shook his head, trying to regain what little dignity he had left as he brushed his hair out of his eyes. The look on his face said it all really, under the blush of abject embarrassment, was the seething hatred. He didn't have to say a word, his expression said "I will hurt that bird man, I will hurt him slowly.. and painfully. He will SUFFER". He signed a single word <fine>

Asher nodded and stepped back, giving the onlookers a 'nothing to see here, move along' glare. Kay didn't deserve this. He had already had a difficult day, and he certainly didn't need an overgrown chicken trying to publicly humiliate him as well.

Kay glanced to Heny, shooting her an apologetic "sorry for the disruption" look. Though it really wasn't his fault Merith's idiot friend decided to be an idiot, he still felt bad for making a scene. Now wasn't the time to beat the chicken's brains in, much as he really really wanted to.

Instead he went to find his tablet, which he'd put down to dance with Heny.
Hoping once they'd left the dance floor, everyone would go back to dancing and enjoying themselves and leave him alone damnit.

Asher was tempted to stay near Kay, but a moment's deliberation told him that Kay would rather be left alone right now. He quietly went back to sit near the piano, silently seething with fury.

Matt did actually go over to his brother, reluctantly because he was rather enjoying annoying Thalia. He was sooo easy to wind up. But Kay looked pretty damn ready to break someone's brain so he figured he should probably intervene before the chicken guy ended up on the floor having a seizure or something.

"Hey, you ok?" He sat down next to Kay who just shrugged.
"okay, stupid question. Just... don't kill him okay?"

Kay shot him a glare.

"No I mean it, seriously.. don't kill him. I know you probably COULD, and honestly that scares me. It's not worth it, no matter how fun it'd be to pluck that idiot and kick him off a great height... I.. I mean.. yeah.. let's not do that." Matt looked sheepish.

Kay smirked. And I'M the scary one?

"What can I say, i'm protective of my little brother." Matt laughed.

Kay shook his head. I can take care of myself Matt, besides, no harm done. Just a bruised ego is all.

"So uh.. I know you're gonna get pissed off again but... what's going on with you and the android?"

Kay feigned ignorance.

"Well... you've been basically avoiding one another all night which is weird for you guys. What'd he do to get you so riled up?"

None of your business.

"Aww come on, he must have done something for you to give him this whole cold shoulder thing."

I'm not giving him the cold shoulder, we don't have to spend every waking moment together for goodness sake.

Matt snorted. "Coulda fooled me."

Kay glared. Everything is FINE Matt, please, just go back to tormenting your boyfriend and leave me be.

Matt patted Kay on the shoulder. "Okay okay... wait... did you really just refer to him as my boyfriend? rather than something derogatory or dismissive? "

Kay rolled his eyes.

Matt just grinned. "Thanks man. No really, it means a lot."

Shut up and go, before I start to question my word choice.

Matt snickered and left him, going back to Thalia.

"oh HELL NO." Heny said in a beyond dangerous tone as shock pratically screwed things up, "Oh no you didnt." She growled her balled fist she stormed up to Shock "OUT ASSHOLE!"She snapped, his joke not playing will with her.
