Upon Vestia: Chapter Four

As they made it back to Vestia Heny would of dozed off in her chair, semi curled up. Vestia greeted them but seem slightly annoyed about something.

"Deepest pockets I've ever seen," said Ellie, raising an eyebrow. "Magic?"
Asher laughed, "Liquids don't agree with me. You'll have to take care of the beer without my assistance."

Matt shrugged "You know, i've never questioned it." And with that he found a third bottle of beer and uncapped the lid before offering to do the same to the others. "I always assumed it was something to do with the shaping space Kevali can do, my brother can do it too but he usually just has pens and bottlecaps on him. He's boring like that. " Matt laughed.

Shane chuckled and held out his beer to have it uncapped "Well, it is a handy talent to have, even to collect boring things with"

Heny noted the sounds of voices in her wandering before moving ber way towards them.

"Definitely useful, not as showy as Kay's whole shapeshifting thing but ya know." He shrugged and swigged his beer, noticing Heny.
"Hey! How's it going? " He patted his pockets "Damn, I think I ran out of beer. You still on pain meds?"

"I havent been taking them.." Heny said sheepishly ignoring the glare to come.

Ellie let Matt open her beer, and took a hearty swig from it. "Well, I can drink to subspace pockets. Wanna share, Heny?" she said.
Asher gave Heny a frustrated look.

Shane took a swig of his beer as he listened to the others talk. He was thinking about trying to get Matt to teach him how to make little sub space pockets like that if he could learn to.

"If i am gonna drink I'm gonna enjoy my good stash." Heny chuckled.

Matt laughed. "man, don't let Kay hear that. He'll blow a fuse" He looked sidelong to Asher "uh.. poor choice of words. " He raised his bottle "the good stash! now that is a good idea!"

"Suit yourself. This beer is pretty good though," Ellie said to Heny cheerfully.
"No offense taken," Asher said to Matt, amused.

Heny smirked, "I have wiskey from old earth scottland 1540 AD."

Shane chuckled and shook his head a little, raising his bottle to the toast anyway. "Whiskey? They certainly made it good in most of that era"

"When it's that old, does it even have a flavor any more?" Ellie asked, awed.

Matt whistled "that's some old Whiskey."

"Eh, a lord of a manor pissed me off." She shrugged as if she actually been in that time period.

Shane looked to Ellie and chuckled "The way they made it, it's stronger over time' He informed her gently

"Up to a point, sure, but thousands of years?" she shook her head, "That seems nuts."

"Never underestimate the power of old alchohol" Matt nodded sagely, finishing his beer astoundingly quickly and pocketing the empty bottle, which disappeared somewhere into his jacket.
He nodded approvingly at Heny's story. "Yep, when someone pisses you off, steal their stuff. It's far better revenge than killing them."

Shane smiled and drank his beer, nodding at what Matt said about the whiskey

Ellie tried to imitate Matt's rapid beer drinking, with less success. "Do you even need to breathe?!" she asked him, pausing to gasp for air.

Matt laughed "Well sure I do... in air." He leaned a little closer and whispered "I can breathe water."

"Whoa. Can you breathe alcoholic beverages?" she whispered back.

"Nah, just the water content. And i'm good at holding my breath anyway." Matt shrugged and stepped back. "And honestly the river was about the only place I could get some peace and quiet growing up. I have 4 siblings and they're all freaking nuts." He was probably lying now, he had a weird smirk on his face.
