Kay followed Heny's gaze and rolled his eyes, those two. Evidently their little spat didn't last long then.

Matt did actually go over to his brother, reluctantly because he was rather enjoying annoying Thalia. He was sooo easy to wind up. But Kay looked pretty damn ready to break someone's brain so he figured he should probably intervene before the chicken guy ended up on the floor having a seizure or something.

"Hey, you ok?" He sat down next to Kay who just shrugged.
"okay, stupid question. Just... don't kill him okay?"

Kay shot him a glare.

"No I mean it, seriously.. don't kill him. I know you probably COULD, and honestly that scares me. It's not worth it, no matter how fun it'd be to pluck that idiot and kick him off a great height... I.. I mean.. yeah.. let's not do that." Matt looked sheepish.

Kay smirked. And I'M the scary one?

"What can I say, i'm protective of my little brother." Matt laughed.

Kay shook his head. I can take care of myself Matt, besides, no harm done. Just a bruised ego is all.

"So uh.. I know you're gonna get pissed off again but... what's going on with you and the android?"

Kay feigned ignorance.

"Well... you've been basically avoiding one another all night which is weird for you guys. What'd he do to get you so riled up?"

None of your business.

"Aww come on, he must have done something for you to give him this whole cold shoulder thing."

I'm not giving him the cold shoulder, we don't have to spend every waking moment together for goodness sake.

Matt snorted. "Coulda fooled me."

Kay glared. Everything is FINE Matt, please, just go back to tormenting your boyfriend and leave me be.

Matt patted Kay on the shoulder. "Okay okay... wait... did you really just refer to him as my boyfriend? rather than something derogatory or dismissive? "

Kay rolled his eyes.

Matt just grinned. "Thanks man. No really, it means a lot."

Shut up and go, before I start to question my word choice.

Matt snickered and left him, going back to Thalia.

"oh HELL NO." Heny said in a beyond dangerous tone as shock pratically screwed things up, "Oh no you didnt." She growled her balled fist she stormed up to Shock "OUT ASSHOLE!"She snapped, his joke not playing will with her.

The smile died on the Avian's lips as he finally realized he had done wrong. He looked around the room awkwardly, his eyes resting one Merith, who seemed to have a reassuring, "We'll talk later," smile. The bird snorted, beginning to walk out. "Jeez, talk about a tightly knit circle..."

"There a difference between a tight circle and not wanting jerk drama makers." She growled, her hands clasped tightly into fist as she shook, she wanted to keep the drama down at least once but it obvious that was too much to ask. She tried to control the annoyng pregnant desire to cry as she tried to not let her hormonal brain make it feel like it fully the end of the world.

"Even I know that was a jerk move!" called Ellie after the bird. She had put her omnicom away at the first signs of trouble, deciding not to cause Kay and Asher further embarrassment.

"Ease up, he was only trying to get Merith to dance with Heny." Shane said with a shrug "Trying to kiss Kay was not cool though"

"And merith was already heading that way." Heny snapped at shane, oh she was pissy at this point and eyed the door.

Shane sighed and put his hands up, turning to take a seat.

"I'll be back in five..."She said bitterly while leaving the room.

In the middle of this Corvus shot Merith a dirty look, obviously putting all the blame on him he left to go check on Heny already inowing she went to find a private place to cry.

damnit, that was the last thing he'd wanted. Kay watched the drama unfold with growing guilt, rubbing his temples as he stood and went to find Heny.

Mourn uncurled from his position under the table and watched everything going on with mild disinterest. Did that mean the party was over?

Thaila balled his fists as he went to matt Cant kill bird brain right? he asked, since it boiled down to Shock being the source of the issue this time.

Kay would find Heny balling her eyes out in the observation deck, Corvus having a gentle wing around her as he let out comforting cooing sounds that you wouldnt think the giant was able to do. He looked at kay with as much of a sigh he could make without disrupting the sound making, Hormones.

Matt shook his head "I don't think so. " He put an arm around Thalia. "Don't worry, Kay'll probably deck him later." He snickered. "Remember I told you he fights dirty? "

Heny blinked and bleary eyed looked at Kay, "W-why?" She sniffed.

Corvus simply shrugged and waited to see if it was best for him to leave or not.

I could have handled that a lot better. So i'm sorry. He tentatively reached out to put a hand on her shoulder.

Matt shrugged. "well, if you both corner him later and beat the snot out of him, I won't intervene" He smirked.

She didnt stopped him, "B-but it was t your fault...everything was going fine until jerk face entered." She said sourly.

"Willing to distract Merith?" Thaila snorted cracking his knuckles.

Kay shrugged. You can't let one person's idiocy ruin your night. He's not worth that sort of power over you. He patted her shoulder gently. Besides which, he just managed to piss off the two people on the ship who control all access to pain relief. He smirked awfully. I think he'll live to regret that.

Matt snickered. "Mmmm, I could... maybe after the party, I don't want to upset Heny more, she's a bit scary even when she's not a ball of hormonal rage. "

Asher noticed Thalia's knuckle cracking, and decided he had better find out what was going through the Keeper's head before he ended up with a dead bird in the med bay. Not that he was especially fond of Shock, but he didn't want anyone dead.
He doubted Matt would allow death to occur, but he headed over to see what they were doing anyway. "What are you two planning?" he asked, "And should I be worried?"

"nothing, nothing at all" Matt feigned innocence.

Asher smiled slightly. "Of course you aren't. If you had been planning something, I would have told you to avoid using crippling or lethal force, and to consult with Kay to make sure you weren't interfering with his own plans. But since you aren't planning anything, I guess I won't need to tell you that."
Oh, it was good to not be bound by the First Law. So, so good.

Matt snickered. "Hey i'm not getting in my brother's way, he can get nasty. " He looked serious for a moment "in all honesty, I hope that guy's smart enough to keep away from him over the next few days." He shot Asher a knowing look, then the mask of amusement went back up again and he grinned. "We'll try not break his legs toooo badly. right Thalia?"

Heny sighed, "I'll return once he is gone...I just was hoping for one night no drama, guess I wished too much."

"After, enough been screwed up as if is." He snorted angrily. "And we'll see not making promises... Bones heal idoicity doesn't."

"Well if you break his bones, I'll probably end up being the one fixing him back up," Asher grumbled, "And although limiting his pain medications would give me some satisfaction, I'd rather not have to look after him for weeks. I'm sure he's a terrible patient."

I think you scared him off. Kay smiled softly. Come on, you can open your presents. He fished through his pockets to see if he had any tissues or anything she could dry her eyes on. Damnit, Asher was the one who always had useful stuff.

Matt snickered. "You're such an adorable little ball of violence." He hugged Thalia, whether he liked it or not.
He laughed at Asher's remark. "Man, remind me not to piss you off. "

Heny nodded, "A-alright." She rubbed her sore eyes.

Thaila huffed and squeaked at the sudden hug, glaring at matt but did have this wea smirk.

Asher smiled at Matt and Thalia's antics. Ah, teenage love. Only they weren't actually teenagers, and it was probably mostly lust anyway. But still, it was nice that they had fun together.
"Don't worry, I don't hurt people. I just regulate the pain relievers," he said innocently.
