Upon Vestia: Chapter Ten

Matt pulled him into a tight hug. "it's okay..." He sounded more like he was trying to reassure himself.

Matt was irritably cleaning stuff and would look up as Shane appeared, giving a tour to a teeny little person.
He looked curious.

"Hey?"

"Hi Matt" Shane said, looking over with a smile "Look who decided to come out for a bit"

Heny would keep a grasp on Merith hand as she listened, her eyes scanning around the med bay but she didnt seem as near as panicky as she once was about the place. Actually she seemed down right curious.

"Is that the bounty hunter?" Matt asked, coming over to get a better look. "Uh.. hi? You aren't still planning to murder us all right?"

Merith nodded, "Well, that's a relief. Oh, yes... Well, the Creator's procedure was a success, but Heny is in need of a sort of refresher on where she is, and who everyone is. Heny?" Merith squeezed her hand softly before turning towards her and cuffing it between his palms. Her then motioned to the robot. "This is Asher. One of Vestia's very fine medics."

Saraphine had gotten nervous again when they came over to Matt. She sat down and looked up at him, nervous. However at his question she shook her head. "A f-false bounty is a dirty one..."

Thaila would be sitting nearby under a pile of wedding catalogs, he took note of the distraction and started to carefully remove each one in hopes od escaping.

Shane nodded "Maybe she could actually help us by spreading the word that it is a false bounty."

Saraphine had gotten nervous again when they came over to Matt. She sat down and looked up at him, nervous. However at his question she shook her head. "A f-false bounty is a dirty one..."

She would look first at Merith then Asher, cocking her head briefly before smiling at the happy feeling she felt seeing him, "I..I remember him."

Matt shrugged. "Not often you meet a bounty hunter with integrity like that. But they probably wouldn't pay you anyway right? The Family are a bunch of lying assholes, I bet they'd shiv whoever brought that bounty in to tie up loose ends." He glanced briefly back at Thalia, shaking his head.

Asher smiled, glad she remembered something of her life before. He really wasn't sure what to say though. This was very uncomfortable.

Shane shook his head "More like try to convert them, they want to be treated like gods" He said unhappily

The minute matt turned to look at Thaila he would be putting on this innocent act of NOT trying to escape.

Matt just rolled his eyes at Thalia. "Go back to looking at cakes."

He turned away again. "In my experience, anyone who claims they're a god is an egomaniacial prick." He shrugged. "Even the proper godly ones. "

"I am!" He snapped defensively.

Matt flicked the mop at Thalia. "Don't." His tone was momentarily stern, and then melted back to his usual cheerful not totally serious tone.

"Enjoy the tour then. And remember, no murdering!" He chuckled. "It's generally frowned on!"

Shane shook his head and chuckled at that, looking to Sara again "That's Matt and Thalia by the way" He said then looked up again "And her name is Saraphine, or just Sara"

Thaila huffed and slapped the stupid things down on the table, "I'm on break." He said getting up and storming off.

"I gotta ask.. how do you get around when everything's so huge to you?" Matt asked curiously. "Do you have a teeny tiny ship? " He hissed a little as Thalia stormed off, closing his eyes and wincing.
"Ignore him.. he's in a mood." He told Shane and Sara.

Thaila would take to hiding in one of the rec rooms to watch a video he would keep a wary eye on the door.

Matt sighed and went to pick up the magazines Thalia had scattered across the floor.

Sara shrugged, "Eh, I can actually get around easier than it looks. I can jump higher and run faster in proportion to you guys. The bigger problem is the larger fella's own ignorance that they might step on me! And plus, climbing and scaling come naturally. We can get inventive if we need. And yes, I do have my own ship... I, uh, snuck it into this one..."

"Asher?" Merith glanced at the robot. The android was unusually stiff and quiet. "Care to speak your piece?"

"You have SO gotta show me sometime." Matt told her, picking up the magazines and making them disappear apparently into thin air.
"Is your whole planet like you? What race are you anyway? It's rude to ask so many questions right?"

Shane headed over to take a seat, letting her stand on the table or stay in his hand as Sara wanted.

"We don't..." She scratched the back of her head and looked down, "We don't... Have a planet. I-It's fine, though. I'm okay with answering your questions... Well, we don't really have a name, either, since no one ever bothered to tell us. Most of us just call ourselves Borrowers because apparently one of us managed to find an old Terran book while we were cleaning that showed creatures similar to us. In honesty? A lot of our history is lost. The Aurum said we were made, but a lot of us think that's a load of codswallop, meant to make us feel inferior."

Asher paused, looking at Heny, then back at Merith. "At the risk of sounding incredibly insulting to both of you, I'm a bit concerned about what your relationship currently is. Heny, your mind is... different now, isn't it?" he asked, looking at her.
