Upon Vestia: Chapter Ten

Matt pulled him into a tight hug. "it's okay..." He sounded more like he was trying to reassure himself.

"Thank you again," Asher told Armin warmly, "And have a good day."

He would go to check on Shock again when Armin left, scanning him to make sure his condition was still steadily improving. Worrying about Shock was better than doing nothing, because when he did nothing, then he found himself worrying about poor Heny instead, which wasn't productive at all.

Mourn went hunting for tiny bounty hunter again, sniffing the air and trying to catch her trail. He was irritated.

Merith smiled, helping her from the table, "Then... How about we take a tour of Vestia? Get you re-familiarized with the ship?" He looked fondly at Heny, taking her hand gently.

Shock looked down at Armin's words, and was still unresponsive to Asher as he checked on his condition. He was healing physically, but still seemed unwilling to talk or interact.

"A tour would be cool... I'm looking for places with lots of things to climb." Sara said giddily. A giant place to explore was always her interest. Large things fascinated her and she always had the urge to climb and scale.

Shane chuckled softly at that and went to show her the rec rooms "Well, there is plenty of spaces to see here, even just the touristy sections."

Mourn lost the scent, too many other people wandering around gah. It was a big ship too.
Annoyed, he skulked off to find the Hawk girls and warn them.

Skye was just leaving her room and heading down the hall when she saw Mourn and smiled at him

Mourn looked exhausted and rather twitchy.
"Little hunter escaped." He told her. "Can't find."

"Little hunter? Oh the bounty hunter...Mourn you can't be that worried over her, she hasn't done anything to hurt us yet and Vestia can watch her." Skye said gently "You should try to sleep, We just got the babies to sleep if you want to lay down with us too" She said, concerned for him and his twitching

Mourn frowned. "Only matter of time. Hunters sneaky. When least expect it, she get us. " He huffed, why was everyone so unconcerned about this? "She came to kill us, no reason believe won't still do it. Just because small doesn't mean not threat. Shouldn't be wandering free around ship. Shouldn't be trusted." He was exhausted, but he couldn't settle knowing she was out there somewhere, free, waiting to shiv them in their sleep or something. "Why nobody else worried?" He sounded frustrated. "Why we have to wait till someone hurt? then be too late."

"Because she knows now that it was a mistake to take that contract." Skye said then shrugged "Do you trust me Mourn?"

Mourn nodded jerkily. "What that got to do with it?" He was confused.

"Then come and lay down, you need to rest. I will watch over you while you sleep" Skye said and went to him "I am worried about you, and besides, you can hunt better when you aren't tired, right?"

Mourn considered that, then nodded slowly. "You make sure she doesn't come?" His tail twitched in agitation and his ears were flattened, he was clearly genuinely worried.

"Yes, I doubt she would hurt us, but we have the vent covered so that no one could get through it, just air. We don't want the babies hurt either." Skye said and turned to take him to the room.

Heny grinned as she gladly returned the hold, "Thag sounds like a wonderful idea." She exclaimed happily.

Mourn nodded and let her lead him. "Others don't understand, too trusting. How can they be so trusting after everything? Don't understand"

Skye shrugged a little and looked to him "We have to trust that there is good, otherwise, what reason is there to keep fighting?"

"Bounty hunters never good." He protested. "They bounty hunters! Sneaky, cunning, killers for profit. Nothing there to trust."

"Well, we won't have her here long, so for now, just relax and try to sleep" Skye said gently then touched a finger to her lips for quiet before she would open the door to go in and get him settled.

He didn't look like relaxing was at all on his list of priorities, not with a bounty hunter loose on the ship but he didn't have the energy to continue arguing. He curled up, looking around the room warily and up at the vent, confirming to himself it was safe.

Skye took a seat after making certain the door closed and picked up a book to read while Mourn and the babies slept.

Mourn would fall asleep pretty quickly despite his paranoia, two days of no sleep caught up fast.
He snored softly.

Merith chuckled, and started Heny on adventuring the ship, going through the tourist areas and pointed out others' rooms so that she could seek help if she needed. Then the practical things, like the obvious kitchens and cafe, as well as the med bay. He walked in with Heny and spotted Asher. "How is Shock?" He asked quietly, looking over to the bird as his hand was entwined with Heny's.

Saraphine looked around, eager to see all of it.

Shane would walk around each room to let her see and pause if she wanted to look at anything closer. He was glad she wasn't as scared now.

Asher looked up at Merith and Heny, and carefully fixed a pleasant and unconcerned expression to his face. "Merith, Heny, good to see you. Shock is all right, physically. He's making rapid progress toward recovery."

Matt was irritably cleaning stuff and would look up as Shane appeared, giving a tour to a teeny little person.
He looked curious.

"Hey?"

"Hi Matt" Shane said, looking over with a smile "Look who decided to come out for a bit"
