Upon Vestia: Chapter Five

"All right... right, we'd better get him to the med... the med bay," Asher said. "And... and do some tests to see what's needed."

Matt shrugged. "Uh... we burned some filth... then you got drunk... and decided to pick a fight with a punching bag. The punching bag won." He didn't mention the final part, it didn't seem appropriate.

"why...do I feel like something missing..normally i wake up ith someone else.." He grumbled

Matt chuckled "Yeaah. Half a bottle of Heny's crazy old Whiskey, I don't think you had it in you. That stuff knocks you out man."

He blinked, "Uhm...your not repying to my question...did I...did we...?" His eyes widden.

Matt stared at him, then shook his head, laughing. "no.. no, you were in no state. I brought you back here and then left. Don't worry."

He rubbed his face, "Sorry...that...ah side of me gets loose when I drink" He blushed

Matt chuckled. "Don't worry about it. We all act stupid when we're drunk and do dumb stuff." He patted him on the back. "I won't hold it against you."

"The thing is... that isnt me being dumb.." He said, finding it hard to explain his drunk side

Matt shrugged again. "Look, i've been wasted and ended up in bed with random people enough times. I get it. But don't worry, you didn't freak me out or anything. I still came back to make sure you were okay didn't I?" He smiled. "How's your head?"

"Throbbing but slowly dying down... And yea but normally I end hitting on the people I well.."He trailed off social awkwardness at it finest.

"Yeah I know. Alchohol doesn't usually make you do something you didn't want to do anyway." He looked him over. "At least you can tolerate alchohol okay. The amount you drank I half expected you to be comatose."

He blink, surprise, "your...not upset? Disgusted?" He was truly surprise then brush off the other comment, "I out drank a minotaur more then I want...or really can remember."

Matt laughed. "Why would I be disgusted? You're kinda cute, particularly when you're drunk." Maybe he.. shouldn't have admitted that. He coughed awkwardly. "I uh.. that is. . um. You outdrank a minotaur? that's impressive"

His face turn bright red, "Uh yea..A couple of ah..times."

Matt laughed, but couldn't quite make eyecontact now. He was a bit embarrassed too. "That's awesome. Remind me never to challenge you to drinking games."

"Oh I regreted it in the end... But the pay out was worth it." he attempted go stand only to loose balance and land on poor Matt.

"Oof." Well, now Thaila was on top of him. Great. "You okay? Maybe uh.. not a good idea to go wandering about just yet." He stared up at the other guy, his face felt really hot all of a sudden. Oh dear.

"C-crp." He chocked before managing to barely bolt to the bathroom. Even though his face was hotter the need of removing the toxic in his body kicked in as he puked black gunk into the toliet.

Matt breathed a sigh of relief and sat up, oww.. that actually really hurt. He rubbed his shoulder and called out "You okay?"

it took him a few minutes to finally speak, "Y-yea...sorta." Jeez, talk about luck and feelings.

"okay... try not to uh... I dunno, puke your guts up or something." He found the rest of the water.

"Honestly that would feel wonderful." He grumbled, trying to put his mental walls up but his brain felt like mud.

Matt was sympathetic. "Here.. " He brought him some water. "Maybe take it easy for a few hours. Let yourself recover. " Matt really wasn't good at putting up mental walls when he wasn't thinking about doing it. He didn't bother unless he was talking to his brother after all, as Kay was the only telepath he really knew. Well.. till now. He'd completely forgotten.

Which pretty much meant wny feeling Matt had Thaila would feel... He took the glass and started to slowly drink..

Asher was growing pretty anxious about his upcoming brain edit. He knew it might end badly, so he went looking for Kay, assuming he must be in the med bay. If something went wrong, Kay needed to be ready to look after everyone without his help.
Besides, he wanted Kay to know about this for some reason. It seemed important.

Matt's thoughts were a bit of a mess. There was definintely attraction there, but also a lot of conflicting emotions. Sympathy, slight disgust at the whole puking thing, memories of the past few times he'd done exactly this and gotten super drunk and regretted it.

"you gonna be okay?" He asked, he genuinely did seem to care. It was almost as if he felt.. responsible for looking after Thaila. He always felt responsible for looking after people.

Kay was taking notes from the data crystals and looked up when Asher came in. He smiled and paused whatever he was watching so he could open up the notepad and typed [Heny has some data crystals containing a lot of information about Keepers. She refuses to see an actual doctor for her anti natal care, so looks like it's up to us.]

Asher shook his head amusedly at that news, having resigned himself to Heny's stubbornness by now. "I'll be sure to study everything... everything once I have the time. It's good that she had the information handy."
