Matt nudged Shane in the ribs "course she does silly." Hey he wasn't stupid, he was quite aware that Ellie had a thing for Shane. And it was kinda cute.

"I don't have much...maybe 10 peices of clothing total?"

Starr smiled and shook her head then sighed "I suppose if it is necessary" She said then looked at Asher again "Are you certain there is no way to fix that law thing?"

Shane blushed and looked from one to the other then smiled "Now that makes me feel a lot better"

Kay had to wonder why she needed Matt's help but decided not to ask. None of his business.
I really should get back to work. Update the stock lists. He reached out a hand to touch her shoulder gently. If you need anything, anything at all, even if it's just a strawberry smoothie, just shout okay? He was worried about her, he didn't want her moping about the place. Not that he could blame her for moping, but still.

Kay smiled reassuringly, waved and headed off to go update those lists. This was going to be a big shopping trip wasn't it?

Matt grinned and raised both hands in surrender "Whaaat? I did nothing! "

"Not without me there" Starr said, looking at him then smiling a little "I don't want to lose you as you are, I just want you to be able to get past that list thing."

Shane chuckled and shook his head "I am glad you two don't hold anything against me. I like having friends now"

"Shane, in all seriousness... we're here for you okay? That's what friends are for." Matt pulled him into another hug.

"All right," the android said warmly, "That seems reasonable. I should get you some sunglasses from sickbay now, so you'll be able to leave your room."

"Oh man, I hope not!" Matt pulled Ellie into the hug. "You guys have gotta stay just as you are okay? No scaring me"

Starr nodded and sat up a little, smiling more normally now "Thank you Asher"

Shane nodded and looked from one to the other "Good, I was scared that I may have lost your friendship Matt, after the way you looked at me yesterday"

Matt nodded. "You freaked me out man. " His expression was serious now. "You really freaked me out. I'm still not totally sure where we stand, but.. I like you and I want to trust you." He looked glum "Just... I dunno.. let's just not talk about it. I think i'd rather pretend like it all never happened. "

Asher patted her shoulder and stood to go. "Please, feel free to talk to me any time you need to. I really want to do whatever I can to help you, but," he laughed softly, "I'm not a mind reader. So I can't always guess what you're thinking."

Starr nodded and stood up after a moment "I will." She said with a smile

Shane nodded and looked away from Matt "Old habits are hard to break, didn't think I would need that one here, but I did"

"I hope we never need to see that ever again." Matt nodded. "This trip has had enough awful. It's about time we had some good."

Shane nodded again and chuckled "Yes, we need fun stuff to erase the bad...what do you say we go to the rec room and see what there is to do?"

The following morning, as promised, Matt returned to Thaila's room with painkillers and water. Kay had just sort of rolled his eyes when Matt asked for painkillers for a hangover, but didn't question him.

Matt knocked gently.

Thaila groaned, "What?!" He demanded, holding his screaming head

"I have painkillers?" Matt called as softly as he could, he understood about hangovers... oh heck did he understand hangovers.

"come in.." He mumbled, curled up craddling his poor head as he tried to remember last night.

Shane was up at his usual time, wandering the halls as he waited for the others to be up and about.

Starr was looking at herself int he mirror, taking the new shades on and off and trying to decide which would be weirder, to wear them or just let those on the ship know.

Matt came in, approaching the bed tentatively. "Water, and painkillers." He spoke softly, handing both over.

He gratefully took them, rapidly downing both he warily ask, "W-what did I do last night..?"

Matt shrugged. "Uh... we burned some filth... then you got drunk... and decided to pick a fight with a punching bag. The punching bag won." He didn't mention the final part, it didn't seem appropriate.

"why...do I feel like something missing..normally i wake up ith someone else.." He grumbled
