Upon Vestia: Chapter Eleven

She blinked and nodded, "Yea...?"

Asher grinned. "All right. I may have to relent if he looks too sad though."

----Asher heads to Defiant----

"Stellan?" Starr asked curiously since she hadn't gone to the station and met that brother. She shook her head then smiled "I'll go eat then get some sleep."

Kay nodded. Yes, we managed to run into my little brother. It doesn't matter, you go eat, then rest. We will discuss this experiment of yours in the morning alright?

He really wanted to know what she was planning.

He then looked to the others. [Would you like to continue the tour or just roam freely? You can't get too lost, Vestia will guide you back if you do.] He didn't think these people were that much of a threat after all. Heck, Rigel had volunteered to help them and after all the revelations of earlier, that was surprising to Kay.

James grinned. "You look kinda busy, we can roam for a while. I'll keep an eye on this violent brute, and make sure she doesn't break anything."

Tala looked proud.

"And Rigel can keep count of Swarm, and make sure they don't stow away with you," James added teasingly.

--We would not stow away, we need a sufficient quantity to remain sapient.-- they informed James.

Kay smiled softly to James and nodded. [Very well. And don't worry, any of you cause trouble Vestia will know about it. She has taser armed bots who have no pesky laws stopping them from electrocuting people. Consider yourselves warned.]

Starr smiled and turned "I will hope to see you later, Rigel, Swarm"

"Sleep well, rest well, sweet dreams." The swarm told Starr.

"Ack, tasers," James didn't look worried though. "We'll be good. It was good to meet you guys!" he said to Kay and Starr.

Kay nodded. [You too. It's nice to meet Asher's brother and... a relief to know my brother is amongst decent people. It's reassuring to know he's safe. ]

Rigel waved as Starr left the group then looked at the others again "I would like to explore some more."

"We don't understand Esk, but we'll keep him safe for you," James said with a cheerful salute. "And it's nice to know my brother has an awesome boyfriend." He headed down the hall, looking happy.

Kay looked a little taken aback by that, and nodded, waving to James. [Thank you.] Awesome? okay... that was sweet.

Swarm bobbed up and down --yes, explore! Big ship, lots to see!--

Rigel chuckled and followed after James and Swarm to look around the ship curiously

Tala followed behind, being careful to keep her horns away from the cameras. She didn't want to break anything; that would be rude.

Shane flew Ellie and Matt back to Vestia, docking with her then stretching and going to get off the small ship. with the others.

Rigel looked around as they wandered the ship's hallways. He paused at an arcade type room and chuckled, going in to look at the machines "Oh, wow. I didn't know they made these anymore."

"I had a good time collecting things while I was growing up," Vestia said. "Including arcade machines. All in preparation for becoming a mighty cruise ship someday."

Ellie scrambled--stumbling slightly--out of the shuttle. "Oh man, I feel so loopy. I really should go to bed," she muttered.

Rigel nodded and ran his hands over some of the games, stopping at one and just staring for a moment "I had some games like this, salvaged through the years, but they were all broken or taken when I was." He said then turned the machine on to test it.

Shane came to her side to help her stand straight "Easy, we need to get you to bed and get you to drink some water so you don't get sick"

"Taken...?" Vestia was confused.

"We gotta make sure we get Matt to his room too, he's drunk and arrested now," Ellie said. "He was drunk and is arrested. Is arrested and was drunk. Was arrested and IS drunk!" she said, finally arranging the words right.

"I was kidnapped and made a slave. My niece, Dawn, saved me along with Esk and his father." Rigel said, frowning at the memory then shaking his head "Then they obliterated the place that held me."

Shane looked at her then shook his head a little and glanced to Matt before moving over to help him up too. He would drop Matt off then take Ellie to her room

"Wow." Vestia's camera tilted in a way that might almost look sympathetic. "That's awful. I'm glad you're all right, but that must be tough."

Ellie kissed Shane awkwardly, then stumbled into her room. "Thanks Cutie, you're the best. I swear I'll not get drunk tomorrow, and we can go play in the holodeck or something."

Rigel nodded and sighed again "It is, it's part of the reason I am in no hurry to return home. Slavers are everywhere nowadays" e said quietly then shook his head and tried to ficus on the game

Shane smiled and touched where she had kissed before making sure she had a glass of water and some pain pills for when she woke up before leaving her.

Matt would totally protest that he wasn't THAT drunk but he really was. Sleep would definitely help, so he collapsed into bed and was grateful to avoid his brother... for now.

Swarm buzzed around all the arcade machines delightedly. Bright lights! Music, sound, more lights!

--You don't have many passengers.-- they said to Vestia. --why is that?--

Vestia laughed. "Once I found out that the passengers I had were so unusual, I realized that my original plan to be a cruise ship might need to wait. Once the Family targeted us, that proved to have been a really good choice. You don't want civilians to get caught in this mess, and mostly we managed to avoid that."

--You need better weaponry.-- Swarm remarked, buzzing around one of the brighter lit machines distractedly.

"The more technical-minded of the crew have started working on that," Vestia said. "Of course, it's a big project when you're upgrading such a huge ship."

"That sounds dangerous," James commented. Mechanic work. Ick.

"Life is dangerous," Tala retorted. "I am glad that our new friends are seeking to stand up for themselves."

--Good luck to them. Some we know would say the bigger the ship, the bigger the guns. --

"Changing names should help with that. Possibly look into painting some parts differently too, in case they have pictures" Rigel said calmly
