Upon Vestia: Chapter Twenty-Five

Starr shrugged and looked out the window again. "I don't know. I just want things to be normal."

"Not really." Marcus said but was cut off by this horrible high pitch squeal as Amari bolted awake, panicking at being trapped.

Kay winced at the squeal. Damnit, were they going to need to sedate both of these guys?
He raised both hands and tried to look as non threatening as possible.

"Vestia, can you ask Ethan to bring a book or two please" Sawna asked, glancing over to the younger one as he woke.


Starr went to Amari "Easy, you are safe" She said gently then motioned to his father "You are in the medical bay being treated for your injuries, we have blood for you."

"On it," Vestia told Sawna. She watched with interest.

Asher stayed back, letting Sawna try to calm this guy.

Vestia relayed the message to Ethan, who perked up and started looking for audiobooks.

The young arran squirm and panicked, his breathing labored as his head craned around for a familiar face. Marcus ignoring that he was supposed to be laying grunted as he force himself to sit up, what probably sounded like a barbaric language to all of was that of the Arran tongue. He spoke it im waht his kind would view gentle and calming, something that got Amari to at least stop fighting but there was obviously fear in his eyes.

Sawna sighed softly and looked to Marcus, staying by him to help him over to the younger one's bed so he could see and talk.

"Does he speak common?" Starr asked curiously.

"He can.. understand it, speaking it though..." that was a yes, he nodded his thinks to Sawna as he switched back to his species native tongue, doing odd clicking here and there in the process.

Starr nodded and looked down at the kid then back to Marcus "When he is calm, I will release his hands so he can eat." Yeah, she wasn't fully releasing him until he had fed so he wouldn't attack them.

"Can someone give me the bag of blood?" Marcus asked, he was willimg to risk being attack since he knew he could even in his weaken state established pecking order.

Kay kept well back, wondering if Matt had been right about these two. The younger one looked pretty damn feral.

Starr picked up the bag and handed it to Marcus, since Sawna was staying at his side to act as a crutch if needed.

Marcus carefully held the bag wihin biting ramge for Amari who didn't need encouraging as he salvagely attack the bag his teeth sinking in. Marcus himself hasn't ate yet but obviously had better control then the younger halfbreed.

Sawna looked to the boy, watching how he fed then looking back to Marcus. "Did you need yours in a bag too?" She asked curiously.

Marcus nodded, "It... easier for us to digest."

Sawna nodded and looked to Starr. When Starr came to take her place, Sawna left to get the bag for him. It was curious to her that they couldn't feed from the cup as she did, but then, they were a different species.

Marcus would wait to pry the empty bag from the younger one when it was drain dry. He scowled him when Amari asked for more, he looked at the others. "Gotta limit amount so we don't get sick." Marcus explain before enjoying his pack

"Do your people have the ability to heal?" Sawna asked curiously.

He nodded while eating, talking when the bag was dry. "lets just say we weren't loved for slaves just for our looks."

Ethan considered sending the audiobooks down with a bot, so he could avoid going near Kay and the med bay. But he was curious about these new people who had been rescued, so he decided to bring the books down himself. He carried them to the med bay and peered in hesitantly.
He wanted to make sure nobody was going to throw something when he went in.

Sawna gathered the empty bags to dispose of them properly then came back, looking to the door when Ethan came in "Ethan, you brought the books?" She asked with a smile

"I have the books. If anyone still wants them," Ethan said, edging into the room. He looked at the arran curiously. Huh, so these were the potentially dangerous patients.
The patients might notice that Ethan looked almost exactly like Asher. The only difference was that Ethan looked grouchier, had darker clothes, and could walk. Other than that, he was identical.

Marcus arched a brow before hobbling back to his bed, "Amari promised to not attack if he released. Now he is fed he'll have better control." Marcus assured.

Starr looked to the teen then to the others before she went over to release him. She watched him to be sure he wouldn't do anything to cause harm.

Kay nodded a greeting to Ethan but made no move to go near the Arrans. Skye and Sawna had things under control.
[How often do you need to feed and how common is it for you to lose control?] He asked Marcus cautiously.

"In our state every four hours for about two days should bring us to full strength. Us loosing control, that varies on the age of the arran and self control. Don't worry I'll be able to keep Amari in place." Marcus assured as amari relaxed more at not being strapped down, he now seemed to just be looking around im curiousity then hunger.

Kay was skeptical about that, usually when people claimed they could keep others in their place around here it turned out to be a complete lie. hmm.
He nodded curtly.

[We have a fairly decent supply of blood, both humanoid and animal. ] Though he'd really rather the humanoid blood supply was kept for emergencies hmm. [Keeping you fed shouldn't be a problem. ] Now dealing with the crew's reaction was a whole other matter.

He noted kay reaction and chuckled though somewhat bitter, "I'm the older one in the pecking order, no matter hoq much he probably going to attempt to challenge me I have nearly five hundred years od gladiator training undee my belt. Believe me his scrawny ass will not win." Marcus said firmly while listen to kay, "if need be I have money and connections to get more blood."
