Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

"Greetings, Nikita, it is satisfactory to meet you," Tala declared. "I am Tala."
She didn't know Nikita well enough to read the woman's body language, so she didn't know what Nikita's intention with the greeting had been, but she and Nikita were on the same crew, so she was going to assume the best.

"Nice to meet you Miss Tala." She remarked, taking a soft sip of the beer. "I'm going to assume this is a short stop before we end up where we are suppose to?" She would ask while putting the bottle down to rub the bracelet that was seemingly melded into her skin.

Tala snorted softly. "If you desire to use honorifics in addressing me, the one you seek is Officer or Captain. Since you are not under my command, simply addressing me by my name will suffice." Tala wasn't an unmated young cow or a civilian, and so she didn't want to be addressed as "MIss".
"We will only stay here as long as it takes to have the ships loaded, and then we shall be traveling onward," she said, in answer to Nikita's question.

She nodded, "Very well Officer." Nikita was the type to use titles, though oddly enough she avoided any on her. She took a drink of the beer again. "Alright then, good to know." She rolled her neck, well as much as she could in the high leather collar she wore. It was a pretty well known shardian clothing item since it was a sign of non-slave shards. Obviously the higher the quality and the clan symbols normally on them gave hint to status but her's was bare and simple.

Tala nodded. "It shall be some days until our next stop, I hope all the folk on your ship are getting along well?" She addressed the question to both Nikita and Eleven.
She didn't know anything about shards really, so she just assumed the collar Nikita wore was one of those weird things some species wore, like shirts or shoes.

"Well enough." She shrugged, "Haven't heard any weird rumors about me yet." She grinned while enjoying the beer.

Tala wiggled her ears in amusement. "What rumors do you normally expect?"
She swigged her beer. She was only having one today, so at least it was a large one.

"I've had in the past rumors saying anywhere from the female captain's female lover to I lost a bet." Nikita said with a laugh, "Admitted the first one was partly spurred because of a bet I did lose."

"They had rumors that you lost a bet?" Tala considered that it seemed awfully vague. Her ears wiggled again in more silent laughter, "Perhaps it is sad for you that your mating with the captain was not real." Yeah, she was teasing.

"Lost a bet and that why I was on that crew." Nikita smirked, chuckling at tala comment. "Oh me and her was already in trouble with her mate after she saw us kiss without context. I would of been scared to see her pissed if it went that far; I can shift my gravity but she is quite the marksman, er markswoman..?"

Tala looked puzzled by that. "A bet is an odd way to join a crew." She nodded sagely, "One does not exchange romantic gestures with others without agreement of their mate. It is not wise. She should have known better than to do so without asking."

"The dangerous of one too many drinks in celebration." Nikita softly smirked. "And yeah it may be weird but I've seen it happen just not to me."

"I have done such at times. Gratefully, my mate has approved. We tell each other of our conquests when we see each other," Tala said, as if that was perfectly normal. "It is well few of them had jealous mates."

"No mates for me." She shrugged, "Hitting my fifties it is not the time to try to settle down." Nikita laughed.

"I know naught of your species. I do not know if that means you are underage, or an old maid!" Tala found that amusing.

Nikita laughed loudly, "I'm young, we can live thousands of years if luck blesses us. The fifties for a shard is like revisting teenhood but worsw, recklessness is rampant and it our species ways of population control it seems."

"You are going through a second teen age?" Tala said curiously. "It hardly seems wise for the captain to hire you if you are so impulsive." Hytar seemed careful though. He must know the risks.

"Not all of us as impulsive as some, it gets worse the closer we hit sixty. I was 'honorably' retired from the military for that reason, I'm 51 so got nine more years to go and take it out on the black market our of view."

Tala found it odd that Hytar would hire someone who had been retired from the military for approaching an age where she would be dangerously impulsive, but Hytar seemed otherwise sensible, so she decided he probably know what he was doing.
She swigged her beer again, finishing it. "It is funny, you are six years older than I, and yet you are youthful while I am grizzled and aged!" She was only middle aged, but still.

Nikita smirked, "I've learn age means nothing in this galaxy. I know a leader who is a shard that should of died of old age that is still going, while another who barely in his forties and looks like he about to keel over. It how we live it that matters." She tooked a drink, a slight pain look on her face as she remembered the unofficial story on her retirement. Indeed the age was perhaps the least offending thing.

(A part of me wants there to be stupid terran men try to flirt with the two lol)

"You are sensible despite your youth," Tala said, joking again. She did find the fact she was younger than Nikita pretty funny.

(Haha that is tempting. They'd have to flirt with Nikita, I don't think many Terrans are into cow ladies.)

"If you're not careful I'm going to call you elder." Nikita joked right back.

(Hahaha omg. Okay, shall we split the weird guys?)

"Such would not be a proper title," Tala said, but she was pretty amused. She liked this woman, she decided.

(Sure)

"Depends on if it being honorable or joking." She grinned, finishing her single beer.

"That is true," Tala agreed. "To be an elder is not a bad thing."

Some guys were drinking together at a table, watching Tala and Nikita and Eleven. They were talking about something, and laughing a bit. As a group they got up and came over.

"Not unless you make it be." Nikita smiled, though that faltered when one of the guys in the group stumbled drunkenly and went to Tala.

"What a beauty like you doing so far in terran territory?" He asked Tala drunkenly.

Tala blinked. Things a minotaur didn't hear very often from a Terran, huh. "I am employed," she said, "It is why most travel here."

Another one of the guys looked at Nikita and Eleven. "You're into some kinky stuff, aren't you? I like that in a girl," he said to Nikita.
