Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

"The land is where one finds the clearest and most refined scents, and the best of grasses to eat," Tala proclaimed. "It is most satisfactory!" She looked pleased. "Soon we shall once again be trapped in the recycled air of spacecraft, but for now, we revel in the joy of the air!"

The spaceport smelled like metal and asphalt mostly, but she didn't seem to care.

She chuckled, "yeah, might as well enjoy it while we have it." The shard grin while keeping a eye out for any government officials.

Lope tried to make himself as tall as possible to be seen over the group. "Okay." He tried to look friendly. "The boss has arranged for a couple of nights accommodation, after that you're on your own he says. So uh... good luck and if you follow us we'll take you to get set up yeah?" He looked a bit uncertain, he didnt' really know what he was doing here. "So uh.. welcome to... what's this place called?" He looked to Eleven.

Eleven looked kinda surly, but that was their default expression. "Ottawantreal. North America." They replied boredly.

"Right, welcome to.. otta... whatever. Good luck!" Lope grinned.

Eleven rolled their eyes and led the way down the ramp. (to the other thread)

(Forumotion started freaking out maybe an hour ago, I lost a post that way too. Dang weird stuff.)

There weren't really any government officials around, just a couple of cops hanging around to make sure nothing illegal was going on. It looked like Nikita was safe for now.

"We shall enjoy the day. I hope there will be time to explore, although I am loath to do so until my duty to my crew is ended," Tala said, "But if time there is not, at least it is well to be out of doors."

"Maybe get some of the local foods, just gotta make sure no chocolate." Nikita said firmly.

Tala snorted softly. "You do not wish me to be consumed by feelings of lust?" She asked, ears wiggling. Chocolate had a rather strong effect on her species.

"I more don't want to go into a coma." Nikita chuckled, "for my kind its like a sleeping drug, eat too much I'll end up in a coma."

"That is even less fortunate," Tala said. She looked pleased, it was nice to meet other people who had a hard time with chocolate. "If we eat, we shall avoid the cursed cacao with great care."

"Agreed." She grinned.

"We could make it a night of most excellent ladies," Tala mused. "Have you befriended Tobias yet? She is a most charming companion! And some of my crew are also excellent, we could invite them."

"I admit I haven't been that interactive with the crew." Nikita shrugged.

Tala twitched her ears curiously. She always figured it was important to know the people you were working with, if at all possible. "Are you not staying long with that crew?" she asked.

"Unknown, it is a test trial." She explained, "So I been careful to not become attached."

"That is unfortunate. it is a shame you were not with us when we freed the slaves, then you could have easily proved your worth," Tala said. "Such is life! In time you shall surely be known as worthy!"

Nikita chuckled, somewhat dryly, "I use to serve in the military, I don't need glory to make my worth. Its very overrated."

"To be bathed in blood and triumphant is a most excellent appearance for the résumé," Tala declared. "But if you prove yourself in other ways too, such is to your credit."

"Triumph is good as long as it isn't empty." Nikita remarked, as if remembering something.

Tala shrugged. "An empty triumph is no triumph at all." She looked around, "This spaceport is most lacking in greenery to eat."

"Agreed." She said with a nod, watching Tala search for food.

"So have you been to Terra before?" Tala asked, still scenting the air for anything edible.

"A while back as a vistor." Nikita said, that exactly wasn't a lie in her case.

"I have not been here before. They say many fine things about the culture of this planet however, it is pleasant to see it. Which cities did you see?" Tala asked.

"The uh, planet capital that most alien tourist see." That was there the Shardian Embassy was.

Tala wiggled her ears. "You do not remember the city's name?" She tried to remember Terra's capital, hmm. "It is called Sydney, I think?"

"Its more I struggle with pronouncing it." Nikita laughed, "We don't have words that first pronounce like that in my tongue so leads to much annoying stammering."

Tala's ears wiggled more. "Ah. Many names in Common are most unsatisfactory," she agreed.

"Agreed, at last it seems human main language.., En-gelish is the most popular for the other races to do diplimatic meetings so it has become the offical 'common' though mainstream uses alot of alien slang depending on the galactic location and dialect." Oops, Nikita thought after spilling that. That was more info then a causally traveler would know.
