Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

"Good. We all look forward to the extermination of these monsters," Tala said. She added at Shane's words, "The primary goal the others chose was to rescue the slaves, we must accomplish that before we kill these wretched slavers."

Shane nodded at that "I know, and we will"

"They did not know," Tala told Shane in a sensible tone. To Toby and Eleven she said, "Your captain is most excellent at destroying slavers, I have heard."

"yeah, he really fucking hates em." Eleven nodded. "Never been dumb enough to ask why, he doesn't like questions like that."

"it's a weird hobby..." Toby remarked.

"hey, means we get a job." Eleven shrugged.

Tala flicked her tail. "If one must have a hobby, killing slavers is not a bad one. By the way, do you have a gym on this ship?" She cared about fitness, okay?

"uh... not exactly. there's a rec room with some weights but that's about it." Eleven explained.

Toby nodded. "it's not a big ship."

"That is good too," Tala said. "Any fitness is better than no fitness at all."

"I guess..." Eleven didn't sound so sure about that.

Tala wiggled her ears. "You would rather not exercise at all?"

Eleven shook their head. "I get enough excercise crawling around this ship repairing everything that goes wrong."

Toby snickered. "those service hatches are small, the other guy can't fit so he has to do all the work."

Eleven glowered. They didn't like being called small, even if it was true.

"I can help, while I am here." Shane offered. Hey, he could make himself small if he wanted to.

"Ah," Tala said brightly. "Well that is acceptable for sure." She nodded to Shane, "Shane is smaller than he looks at times, and he is a hard worker."

Eleven stared at Shane. "You're a shapeshifter?" they guessed.

Shane nodded "I can change my shape"

Toby stared at him. "So why you pick THAT one?" She asked disdainfully.

Eleven tried not to laugh.

"Terran is the form I was raised as." Shane said with a shrug "It's the one I know best and it's comfortable for me."

Tala wiggled her ears teasingly. "He smells humanoid and male in this form, but we are enamored with him anyway."

Toby looked like she found all that utterly distasteful.

Eleven looked curious. "But you're not terran right? So what are you? And what do you really look like?"

Toby snorted. "you think he'll show you?"

Eleven shrugged. "Maybe they aren't all weird about it."

"the other two got funny if we asked what they really looked like." Toby explained. "But if they look anything like Silence's mother... yeesh."

"I am not that type of shape changer." Shane said with a chuckle.

"no, you don't have the same eyes..." toby mused.

"What other tricks you got up your sleeve?" Eleven asked.

"He has great and powerful magic, and he speaks well with his mind," Tala said proudly.

"Powerful magic? like what?" eleven asked slightly wearily.

"I'm still learning, but crating things is one thing I can do." Shane said with a shrug.

"What sort of things?" Toby asked, hey that was a really broad category.

"It depends on what I have to work with in the area. I helped make a water park one time." Shane said then smiled. In another universe and on a different Vestia.

"He used his magic of creation to bring joy to the people," Tala said proudly. She looked at Shane, "His species of the star dragons, they are most excellent creators." Was that a secret? She didn't think so.

Shane dipped his head when Tala revealed what he was to them and hoped that wouldn't turn out to be a bad thing.
