Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

Lope did as he was told, coming into the room, putting the bag of pretzels and chocolate down, and a little self conciously rubbing his bare arms as he looked around.

"I would uh...let you borrow a shirt but it would be a lil too small for you." Vicky laughed sheepishly, before gathering her things for a quick shower, "Gimme five okay?"

Lope laughed nervously. "No it's fine, it's fine. Go shower, i'll um... wait... here?" He wasn't really sure what he was meant to do. He decided that studying the pattern in the carpet was the best option.

She rushed into the shower with the door shut, if lope looked on the bed he may find a diary. It was dropped opened when vicky was busy finding clothing to change into...

Lope didn't actually realize what the book was, his gaze drifted across the floor and naturally, to the stark white page.
He couldn't help but glance, assuming it was just some work or a novel or something.

Simply hand writting filled the page, and these two were going over a rather detailed description of one of her 'weird' dreams...which included Lope.

Of course, as soon as one sees their own name written down their eye is drawn to it, and as soon as he realised what he'd just read his face flushed and he averted his gaze. Oh dear.
Did he pretend he hadn't seen it? Did he hide the book? What was he meant to do?!! PANIC.

Vicky started to exit out of the bathroom, clothed, while drying her hair. "Ah, better." She looked at him, not noticing just yet what he read...

Lope looked right at her, and oh relief, she was actually dressed. That made things less uh... distracting, but only marginally. He smiled awkwardly. "Hot running water, another thing i've grown too used to here." He laughed weakly.

"Tell me about it.." She trailed off to see the open disry, her face first paled then flushed as she made a squeaky noise and dashed ovef to close that damning book.

Lope tried to hide his own flushing face. "I'm sorry, it was open and I glanced. I didn't mean to! Forgive me, I have invaded your privacy, I didn't realise it was personal." He gulped, expecting her to be mad.

"N-no... I should of made sure to of kept that shut." Vicky couldn't dare look at him. Well this was one way to make crew relationships awkward as hell.

Lope couldn't quite meet her eye. "I can... just go.. yeah?"

She sighed, "Yeah... I'm sorry, you probably didn't even..." Vicky trailed off, yup this is the perfect way to screw up any potential relationships. She chocked down her feelings, go figure the nicest guy she met probably doesn't even share similar feelings. Her luck was never that good.

Lope shifted uncomfortable, rubbing his arms. "I'm sorry." He mumbled and not really knowing what else to do, backed toward the door.
Invading people's privacy wasn't something you really you know, just got away with right? He was kinda surprised she wasn't yelling at him about it.

She sat on her bed, "thanks...for being nice st least about it." Vicky said, "Any other guy I know would of used this...for well yea." The cyborg shook her head, "My luck is never good with guys, the nice ones like you are just that..nice but with no interest in someone like me." He already read a part of her diary, might as well try to explain why it was even there, as foolish as it probably was.

Lope hesitated. "i... v... vicky.." He took a while to actually form coherent thought. "I don't... I don't have no interest. You're a beautiful woman, any man would be attracted to you but I.. I barely know you and I." He took a deep breath, looking awkward and overwhelmed. "you think i'm nice?"

"your the first guy I met that been nice to me that didn't want in my pants.." She said softly, "the only other time I had that was when I was hired to kill the guy..." She started to pick at her nails, damn this felt like walking on glass.

Lope blushed a little and kept looking at the floor. "Sounds like you've been hanging around the wrong sort of guys." He smiled weakly. "My Grandmother always said that... you should treat everyone with respect especially women and a man who views women as something to be possessed, is no man at all." He nodded and looked up. "You should be angry with me. I shouldn't have read your personal writing. "

"I was the one that left it there though, so really I am more mad at myself for being that idiot that makes crew relationship awkward as hell." Vicky couldn't get herself to look up yet.

Lope rubbed his arms again, feeling rather too underdressed. "Either way... i'd.. i'd like to make it up to you." He looked nervous. "Maybe.. maybe after dinner... I could show you around the grounds?"

Any other time Vicky would mind seeing shirtless Lope (come on who can't refuse eye candy?) but she decided to focus in his face as she slightly perked up wt his offer, "I...I would like that, honestly."

Lope smiled back a little shyly. "Okay.. I uh.. really should... get a shirt." Yeah, totally feeling a bit naked right now. "I.. i'll see you at dinner yes?"

"Alright." Vicky flashed him a genuine smile.

Lope smiled back, he still looked nervous though. With another nod he hurried out into the hall and would go get changed.

Vicky flopped on the bed partly wondering if he was doing this just to be nice. She shoved those thought aside and waited for dinner time the come.

7 came and a bell chimed somewhere. It sounded like a real bell, amplified through the com system so it traveled the whole manor.

Lope, having gotten changed and a little more cleaned up waited outside the dining room doors while various people filed past him.
He hopped nervously from padded foot to padded foot as he tried to find Vicky.
