"Probably," Asher said. "That's the consolation prize."

"So uh, is being able to see us in detail an improvement, or a step back in the quality of your life?" James asked.

Matt laughed. "I dunno, it's novel." He grinned at James. "You're cuter with an actual face."

Kay shook his head and tried once more to extract a comical piece from the dead guy. They should rename this autopsy.
This time he actually succeeded.

"Whoo! You didn't kill him!" Matt cheered.

[I think he's already dead.] Kay told him, setting the buzzer off again with his next attempt. Bah.

"Oh good, I'm glad my hideousness isn't burning your eyeballs out or something," James said with a laugh. "Whoo! Kay did it!" He cheered.

"All the medical experience is finally paying off," Asher commented, amused.

[This game has nothing to do with medical experience.]

"He's right, it's all about having super steady hands." Matt took the tweazers and now he could actually see, proceeded to carefully remove three pieces in quick succession before the buzzer went off.
"Man this is really hard. Is this really a kid's game?"

"Dang Matt, we should've gotten you glasses months ago! You're really good at this," James said.

Matt cackled. "All my misspent youth paying off."

[Youth? Misspent adulthood.]

Matt snickered.

"You're just jealous of his skills and cute glasses," James said sagely. He rolled his die, then subtly tried to roll it again when he saw he was going to end up on the trap space.

Luka shook her head, amused and coughed at James. "Hey.. "

[There's no denying his thieving skills aren't occasionally useful.] Kay accepted.

"d'aaw James thinks i'm cute!" Matt gushed.

[No he thinks your stolen glasses are cute.]

"Same difference!"

"The glasses enhance the cuteness that was already there," James said. "It's okay, Kay, you're cute too."

Asher shook his head. Oh James.

James gave Luka a shifty look. "Yes...?"

"Move your mouse." Luka told him, smiling despite her attempt at a stern scowl.

Kay frowned a little.

Matt laughed and ruffled Kay's hair. "It's true, you're small and adorable."

Kay glared.

"Except when you do that, then you're terrifying." Matt told him with a smile. "your turn."

James sniffed haughtily, but moved his mouse to the space he had hoped to avoid. Darn it.

Asher decided to stay out of any and all conversations concerning Kay's cuteness or lack thereof. He became very absorbed by the game board, watching James' move a bit more carefully than was strictly necessary.

"uh oh, the over elaborate trap might trap your mouse in a cage it can easily crawl out of!" Luka joked.

Kay focused on the autopsy game, yeah, he refused to call this operation.

"My mouse is scared," James said. "He doesn't want it to end like this."

"Mmm," said Asher, taking the die for his turn, "Look at it this way, if your mouse gets caught, you can say it's finally free from the miserable treadmill of its life which was this game, and it can enjoy the fresh, expansive pastures of this table."

James blinked. "That's oddly philosophical of you."

Asher rolled the die.

Luka laughed at all this, it was utterly ridiculous. "I think the holes in the cage are big enough for it to squeeze out again if it wanted to."

Asher rolled and landed on the right spot.

James groaned.

Asher tried to operate the trap.

The trap fell on James' mouse.

"My poor mouse!" James said. He shoved his pieces of cheese at Asher and confiscated his mouse.

"aww poor little green mouse." Luka laughed. "That trap is ridiculous."
