Upon Vestia: Chapter Eleven

She blinked and nodded, "Yea...?"

"Here." She gently handed it over, "I can leave if you like..."

Kay tucked his tablet away so he could hold the orb as carefully as possible. He nodded to the creator, and focused on getting the orb safely locked away in one of the safes. They had trays inside them, but he still wasn't sure how strong this orb was. It was precious after all.

He set it down in the tray, took his knitted vest off and wrapped the orb in that before setting it back down. Hopefully it would be safe here, least safer than being carried around.

He locked the safe, taking careful note of the combination.

He returned to the creator and smiled softly, it was done.

Merith came back to cradle Heny in his arms, "Sorry, it's just... Been a whirlwind of several months after living reclusively for so long..." He shook his head slightly, murmuring, "And yet... I still don't..."

Sara said nothing, only nervously nodding.

The creator nodded weakily smiling back, "I should leave you two be...No need to endure glares I can avoid for now." She softly laughed.

Heny looked up cocking her head, "You still don't what?" She asked.

Kay shook his head. [ You're still a patient under our care, I'm sure we can put aside personal feelings at least until you're able to walk again.] He had a strange half smirk on his face so he was probably joking there. [How are you healing by the way?]

Merith hesitated, before sighing, "It still doesn't feel right. Being here. I feel... Out of place."

Sara said nothing, only nervously nodding.

"I will keep you safe if you like." Shane said gently.

Heny blinked cocking her head, "Is that why you do things on purpose to chase people away?"

The creator laughed, "Eh, slowly but steadily, i'll admit that spell did drain a bit but I'll be fine." She smiled.

[Try to rest, I know it's easier said than done but do try.]Honestly he didn't really want to have to deal with an overexerted god-like being, it seemed like it would be extremely awkward and difficult.
[No magic and no trying to walk around is that clear? If you need us, just call.]

Merith couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Maybe," he whispered, "Maybe..."

She looked up at him, "is...that why we don't share a room?" Heny asked shyly.

The creator snickered, "Fine fine, I'll behave."

Kay nodded. [Good. I'm not nearly as patient or nice as Asher is.] He smiled. [And he has tomorrow off so you're stuck with me.]

She snickered, "Doubtful you can out grump a old stag I knew..and sadly shock was stuck with him as a teacher." She weakily smiled.

[That poor poor man. ] Stuck with Shock, what torture.
[Get some rest. You look exhausted.]

Merith chuckled again, "Maybe that, too."

"Fine fine." She smirked heading to wheelback to the medbay since she didnt have any quarters.

Heny softly smiled and didnt say anything else, or really she wasnt sure what to say.

[Have we still not found you a room?] There were SO MANY rooms! [Vestia, can we find this woman a comfortable room with wheelchair access please? ]

"Oh, sure!" Vestia would direct them to a wheelchair-accessible room.

She would happily follow, "Thank you."

Kay went along too to get her settled in. [If you need anything, just ask the ship. I'll leave you to get comfortable. ] He waved a brief farewell and left her to it. Heading back to the medical room.

Asher had been busily doing paperwork. Not just med bay paperwork now, but Vestia's taxes and registration paperwork, and anything else he could get his hands on. Nothing like bland numbers to help you relax.

Kay noticed this and frowned, coming over and putting a hand on Asher's shoulder.
[Are you alright?]

The creator would admittly conk out the minute her head hit the pillow.

Asher looked up, a bit sheepish. "I needed something to keep my processes occupied. The Heny situation is very disconcerting, and numbers and legalese are a good distraction."

Kay nodded, he looked worried. [The orb is safe for now. The creator is resting. Why don't you take some time off?]

"Oh good, I'm glad it's safe," Asher said, relieved. Heny might need her memories someday, and it would be a shame if she lost them forever. "And it's all right, you don't need to rush back to work. I can wait until tomorrow," he smiled reassuringly.

[Perhaps one day. For the time being, I am slightly comforted knowing that part of her still exists. ] He shook his head, it was only a small comfort. [Would you at least consent to company?]
