He stared into Asher's eyes, damn full moon, it really screwed with his ability to keep his feelings in check. Matt tried to look like nothing was wrong. "What you talking about? everything's fine." He couldn't like to Thalia, no matter how he tried though. He looked guilty at the pain in Thalia's face and lowered his head. "I can't... I'm sorry Thalia I just can't."

"That's a good idea," Asher agreed, a bit reluctantly. He really wasn't looking forward to this, but he knew it would be stupid to procrastinate. His chronometer was ticking away relentlessly, telling him exactly how many minutes they had before the moon rose. "I'm glad Vestia's offered her help."

Softly Thaila took his hands, ignoring the throbbing pain as he looked in matt eyes pleaing, "What wrong...I never felt you so worried or sick."

Kay glanced back at Asher one last time, seemed to come to a decision and pulled him into a sudden, aggressive kiss. NOW they could go back inside.

Matt could barely meet Thalia's eyes. "It'll be fine, it's always fine. " He shook his head. His phone pinged with a message. "Oh, I have a message." He did sound relieved. He was even more relieved when he read Asher's message. He was still worried of course, it was a long night and there was always that fretting and concern for his brother's wellbeing, but he felt better knowing Asher was with him. Asher was dependable, and loyal and extremely logical. He'd make sure Kay was safe, Matt had no doubt about that.
He forced a smile. "Just my brother and Asher, they're having a nice time in the gardens apparently." He ran a hand through Thalia's hair. "Do you need painkillers? We can get you painkillers."

"i need you to stop mentally screaming in pain and fear." He said firmly, "Your hiding something that is hurting you greatlyl.""

Asher took a few seconds to compose himself after Kay's kiss, before following him in. Yeah, Kay was definitely freaked out, if he was willing to do that here, no doubt with cautious Avian guards watching. Oh well, if it made him feel better at all, then Asher had no complaints.

They would kindly get kay informing him it was time.

Matt closed his eyes. "I'm trying okay? I really am." He pulled Thalia into a hug. "I'm sorry, it's not my secret to tell. I can't. I'll be fine, just.. help me shut it off so you don't have to feel it too. That's not fair on you. "

Kay was an absolute mess of emotions right now, which made impulse control a little difficult.
He made his way back to the cells and handed Asher his tablet to look after, but not before one last note. [Whatever happens, remember, I will be fine. I'll see you in the morning. ]

Asher nodded. "I understand," he said, barely keeping his voice steady.

"I...can try but when I am attach to someone..." He trailed off closing his eyes to try to stop the pain the light caused.

Kay smiled reassuringly at Asher, and let the guards lead him off to a cell.

Matt felt such guilt, which irritatingly only would make matters worse with the projection. "Will pain killers help? Or.. or a dark room? or.. being away from me?"

"L-let try painkillers... And no I can hear you across the ship." He sighed.

"Damnit.. " Matt muttered. "Okay.. uh.. you stay here, walking isn't good with a headache right? I'll get painkillers... and water." He rushed off to do just that. Well, at least looking after Thalia gave him something to do, even if it was his fault.

Thaila sat down, wondering if there was anyway to distract matt.

Asher sat down on a bench, and nervously waited for the change to happen.

Matt rushed off to the medical room. "Hey, Vestia? Where do they keep the painkillers?" Yeah he had no idea, Kay and Asher seemed to have relabelled things with snarky comments too, which wasn't helpful. What the heck did "In case of Heny" mean?

Vestia giggled and popped open a cabinet. "Painkiller #4? 'For the morning after your drinking binge'."

Matt rolled his eyes. "You're in a weirdly good mood." He remarked, taking the pills. "Anything else that's good for a telepathic migraine?"

"I'm pretending that Kay and Asher were leaving for personal reasons, not business ones," the ship said unapologetically. "I'll turn down the lights for Thalia, and you can get him some water."

Matt snorted "Man, even you're determined to pair them off?"

"Oh come on, they're completely adorable together," Vestia said. She guessed she was still bound by her non-disclosure agreement, even though it seemed a bit unnecessary now.

Matt didn't look convinced. "Robots can't form romantic or sexual attractions though, right? I mean.. they're robots. That's not in their coding." He shrugged.

"Of course, robots also don't reject their ID badges, or operate without an owner," Vestia pointed out. "But you're right, a robot falling in love would be pretty unlikely."

"Exactly. " Matt looked sternly at Vestia "Can you guys like.. lay off teasing my brother about it? He's not stupid, he knows Asher can't reciprocate but having everyone constantly giggling about it and making out like there's something there, it's a bit cruel. "
