"Every year or so at least one or two come our way, more trying to escape their world since they are wanted dead for something they couldnt stop." He explained, "our goddess enforced that all life is sacred so we took that in mind setting this up."

Kay looked dubious about the goddess part, but who was he to argue with that? He nodded. [Generally, people don't live long if they stay on planet anyway. ] He didn't ask any more, looking to Asher to see if he wanted to ask anything.

"Well we only have a full moon every two months so for many it gives them a way to live a little longer." He said with a shrug.

"Do you have internet access? There are some people back on the ship who would be happier if I could check in and tell them whether anything is going wrong," Asher said. Poor Matt had every reason to be worried, and he wanted to try and reassure him if possible.

Kay nodded. [I worked on a colony with similar lunar cycles. I know how it works.] He closed his eyes, yeah that was a painful memory. He couldn't blame his homeworld for their brutal attitude toward this condition, if anything, in most cases a bullet to the head was probably more merciful than letting the infection run its course.

Yes." The male said with a nod, "What are you two relationship if you dont mind me asking? It needed for paperwork." He said, taking a turn, "It so we have direct people to contact first just in case by a fluke something happens."

"I'm one of the ship's medics, you should put me as an emergency contact," Asher said, evading the question.

relationship? Uh.. Kay froze. Coworker? friend? boyfriend? *wince* Were they really ready for that last one? He looked to Asher, not really sure how to answer that question. He was relieved when Asher deftly avoided it completely and shot him a grateful half smirk.

He sighed, "We put civil partners and family members on the top list then medics... But guess we have to swap that around." He wasnt fooled.

Kay wrote [Asher has the contacts for everyone else, I trust him to contact the relevant people should something happen. There's no sense bothering them unnecessarily]

"Hey I wasnt the one that made this rule. You can talk to my boss once we are there." In 15 minutes he pulled to a park at the facility.

Kay nodded and glanced to Asher. [If needs be, they can contact my brother but it's unlikely there will be any necessity to do so. ] He tried to look reassuring.

They opened the door and kindly lead him to the location. They gave him a tablet to fill out asking about any allergies or such. The cells were actually rather plush, the walls cushioned.

Kay dutifully filled out the form, including his silver allergy. He was surprised by the accommodation, it certainly beat his usual tactic of finding a cellar or a bunker or something else spartan and well secured.

He looked to Asher. [Don't worry about me, i've done this so many times.] He smiled softly, just because he was used to it didn't mean he wasn't anxious or dreading the process.

"Here." The male said handing him simple clothing, "So you dont shred what you have on now."

Asher looked over the facilities, both out of professional concern, and curiosity. They seemed humane enough, and obviously designed to take large amounts of abuse from their occupants. He smiled back at Kay, somewhat reassured. "I know you've done this before. I'll try to not worry too much."

Kay nodded and went to go get changed. He'd put everything except his amulet into a locker as instructed. He wasn't QUITE prepared to endure his true form as well, that was a bit too much stress for one evening thank you.

They would be waiting for him, they had a couple of hours before sunset so him and asher were allowed into the newrby gardens and offer meal.

Well that was nice, Kay was still pretty bewildered by all of this. It was far too accommodating, he was trying very hard not to get paranoid about it. Some cultures were just nice.. right? Still, his upbringing had made him pretty dubious of such things.

[Is it ungrateful of me that this much kindness makes me rather uneasy?] Kay asked Asher.

Asher laughed softly. "No, I think it's justified, given your past."

Kay smiled softly. [Well, let's try to enjoy the next few hours. At least the gardens are peaceful.]

They would spend some time in the gardens, doing their best to not worry about the rapidly approaching evening, probably planning their new garden for Vestia. Finally it was obvious that the moon would be rising soon, so they headed back into the building.

They have pretty gardens here, and seem incredibly humane about all this, Asher messaged Matt, hoping to reassure him.

Before they went back in Kay reached out a hand to stop Asher. He looked anxious. [I'm sorry you have to witness this.] He pulled him into a desperate hug.

It took thaila a few hours to corner matt to ask him whatxl was putting him on nerve, mainly because he had a headache from hell due to his lover frantic worrying.

Matt really wasn't keen to talk about it, he'd thrown up some mental barriers but they weren't hugely strong. It wasn't something he was used to doing. He looked horribly guilty when Thalia finally did corner him.
He'd decided to do what Kay always did when he was fretting about something, WORK.
He was sweeping one of the rec rooms, because funnily enough he actually DID do work every so often.

"You don't need to apologize, it's all right," Asher said gently. He hated seeing Kay so unnerved, but of course there was nothing he could do except hug him back, which he did.

"Matt, by the gods please spill before my head explodes." Thaila begged, trying to take the broom from matt as he finally got him cornered.
