Planet Genesis -- The Capitol

She chuckled, "It is, trust me I been there." Softly her face faltered before returning back to normal. "anyway... i uh have no clue what else to ask." Thaila said sheepishly.

"Oh. Uhh..." Ellie frowned, she didn't have a key for those. "Guess you're not free yet, never mind."

"I could shoot the chain," Ethan called helpfully. He had just finished reloading his gun.

Mourn noticed a light and headed for it, peering down from the grate into the room it came from.
Ooo star.
"Dragon boy!" He rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a screwdriver, awkwardly trying to use it to loosen the bolts on the grate.

Skye blinked and looked to Ethan then around "Um, the keys are likely very close, probably in that cabinet there." She motioned with her head. Yeah, he was a good shot, but she didn't want to get hit by a ricochet.

Shane looked up then grinned and chuckled "Mourn" He waited for the cat to come in then sent the star at the door. He was beginning to think it was anti-magic since again, nothing happened.

Mourn got the grate open and dangled upside down from it. "Make small, follow. We find corridor!" He declared.

Ethan nodded. That was a better idea. He went to look for the keys, left handed because reaching up hurt a lot, and fumbled in the cabinet a bit before pulling them out. He brought them over and unlocked Skye's cuffs. "There you go."

Shane chuckled softly and shifted to his dragon form, hopefully it would be small enough to fit in the grate.

Slye smiled, glad they had found the key. Once she was free, she hugged Ellie then Ethan "Thank you, thank you"

Mourn ducked back into the vent and glanced back. "We find hallway, find others. Shoot more family." He nodded and started crawling again.

Shane nodded and followed the feline, glad his dragon body was tiny and not huge for once.

Ellie hugged Skye back hard. Ethan just kind of stood there and waited for his hug to be over. Even with armor between himself and Skye, it still made him seriously uncomfortable. He nodded though when she pulled away. "Glad we could help."

Ellie grinned and pranced off to free more prisoners.

Skye gave Ethan a tired smile "Sorry, forgot you don't like touching." She said softly then turned to see what she could do to help. She just wanted to go back to Vestia and rest and hoped the fighting would be over now.

Ethan nodded to Skye. His rational mind knew she was just showing gratitude and relief, it was just his subconscious that thought she was going to hurt him. Stupid subconscious.

He got back to work freeing people.

James smiled softly at Skye. "I'm glad you're okay."

Mourn kept crawling, tail swishing as he sniffed the air and tried to work out which was to go. hmmm.
He found another room, with two Family mooks huddling and hiding out.
He grinned. "HELLO!" He called through the grate, sharp teeth glinting and optic glowing, he was not a particularly reassuring thign to see grinning down at you.

the mooks screamed and ran, well, floundered away.

Mourn cackled and got the grate open, floating down and doing a sort of mid air somersault. he was somewhat enjoying not having gravity.

Shane would have laughed had he seen that, as it was he only heard but that was enough to make him smile. He worked his way out of the vent then spread his wings, using them and his tail to move easily through the air. Who cared about gravity when you were a dragon?

Skye smiled at James too "So am I, I'm glad they didn't blow up this ship too."

"Yeah, I'm glad they found a better solution," James agreed.

Ellie released the last of the prisoners. "Come on, guys, let's get off this ship."

Mourn swam through the air, looking for anything to stab. Now to find the others and get back to the ships... and stab some more keepers bwhahaha.

Skye nodded then smiled a little "Yeah, a ricochet off those cuffs could have hurt" She agreed, glad they would be leaving the ship now.

Shane followed Mourn, but he was slowing down. He was tired and hurting from being shot.

Mourn paused, looking back at Shane. "Dragon boy slow, why?" He demanded. He was bruised and battered sure, but he'd somehow managed to avoid the majority of injury. Go figure. Being half metal kinda helped, people punched the wrong side of your head and hurt themselves, hah.

Shane looked at him, uncertain if Mourn could read his lips in this form "Got shot." He had to keep that simple, wanting to see if Mourn understood.

Mourn tilted his head. "We find others, get medics yes?"

Shane nodded. Yeah, find the others, but where were they? He headed for the airlocks and the ships there.

Mourn shrugged. "No sure, no smell. You hear?"

Shane shook his head, he didn't hear them, or not them in particular. "If we can find the SD, we know they will come back to it."

Mourn nodded. This ship was a bit difficult to navigate, maybe there was a map.

Ellie lead the way back toward the ship they had arrived on, relieved to be getting out of here. There were bodies in the hall they walked down. It was gross. She looked smug about it.

James looked slightly queasy, but he was getting used to the blood now.

The last of the Family were rounded up in the city. Those who surrendered were arrested, those who resisted too much were killed. Finally the streets were clear of hostiles, and medical and transportation support were brought in from off-planet hideouts to help handle the vast number of wounded who needed attention.

The dead were collected and taken away to await burial. Those from the Family were kept separate from those who had died to save the Guild, but all those who weren't important figures in the Family were going to be given at least a semi-respectable treatment in death.

The living, captured members of the Family were treated for their injuries, and then imprisoned to await trial.

Those who had fought for the Guild picked themselves up and helped their comrades in arms if they could, or lay where they were and awaited aid if they couldn't. Some died in the streets while waiting for aid; there just weren't enough medics to help everybody fast enough.

Tala was taken in the bed of a pickup truck-like creature to be treated for her numerous injuries. She was pretty much exhausted now, and her body was two hurt and worn down for her to ignore it any more. She wasn't in critical danger of death, but she did need care, which the medics provided as best they could.

Orel was already being treated for his wing, and for some nasty scrapes and bruises from his crash landing. He was going to be fine, but right now he was in a lot of pain right now.

Asher was finally found and brought back to Vestia, because there was no room in the field hospitals for a guy who they couldn't treat there anyway.

Kay worked flat out till one of the doctors told him he HAD to take a rest before he collapsed.
So he sat to one side, drinking water and eating what little he could find, worrying and watching all the incoming wounded for any sign of his crew and family.

Meanwhile up in space Mourn and Shane would finally find the Silver Devil airlock and probably meet up with the others.
Mourn waved. "We crawl through air ducts" he declared happily. "You kill last of keeper? We get blow up ship now?"

At the hospital Esk woke up. It was chaos outside but he'd been kept specifically isolated in his own room for fear he might hurt the already severely hurt.
He frowned at the empty room, rubbed his head and tried to work out why he felt so crappy.
He remembered being attacked, but not much beyond that.
Skye! He remembered Skye! Was she alright?
He felt his side, pulling up his shirt to look at the healed gash in his side. Hmmm...

Weakly he hefted himself to his feet, wobbling a bit he held onto his IV stand for support and wandered out into the chaotic screaming bloodied hallway.

Wow...

He scanned the crowd, people laying on stretches and gurneys littered the corridor, the walking wounded were huddled against walls grey faced and sombre.
The medics all looked exhausted.

then he saw a familiar face. Dawn? He felt a surge of panic.
He pushed his way through people to get to her side and stood watching her breathe, reassuring himself she was alive.

"Sir." Someone spoke, Esk ignored them.
"Sir" they were more insistent. "Sir you really shouldn't be up and about, go back to your room. You need to rest."

Esk turned. "Is she alright?" He asked dully.

The medic paused. "She's a friend?"

Esk frowned, then nodded slowly. "Crewmate... "

The medic sighed and came over to read Dawn's chart. "Exhaustion by the looks, she just needs to sleep. "

Esk nodded.

"please sir, you have to go back to your room."

Esk shook his head, he wasn't leaving her.

The medic threw up both hands, they didn't have time for this. "fine, see if I care. " they marched off to tend more patients.

Someone gave up a chair for Esk, they seemed to think he needed to sit down.
He wasn't totally sure why, then again, he hadn't seen how bad he looked yet.
He sat down though, and didn't take his eyes off Dawn.
She better wake up.

Dawn wouldn't wake up for at least a day, she had given everything she could in this fight and needed the rest. For now, she just looked peaceful.

Shane was glad when they found the Devil, going in to strap himself to a seat so he could stop moving for a bit. The wound had closed over when he shifted, but the bullet was still inside and being a bother to him.

Skye smiled at seeing Mourn, coming over to give him a hug because he was alive and so was she.

Sawna watched a screen smiling as the people started to come back down. Now she would venture out to try to find Kay and see if he knew if everyone was alright.

Rigel came back to the SD, taking his seat and waiting for the word that everyone was loaded up, since they couldn't exactly undock with this ship without making it lose all air pressure. Not with all the holes cut into the airlocks....oops?
