She chuckled, "It is, trust me I been there." Softly her face faltered before returning back to normal. "anyway... i uh have no clue what else to ask." Thaila said sheepishly.

Esk had no luck finding Acus, and now he was really feeling the walking. In too much pain to continue walking he'd slumped onto a bench and sat there, focusing on keeping his breathing steady.

Damnit, this was frustrating. He wasn't the sort of person who COULD take it easy, and much as he hate to admit it, he wanted to confirm the captain wasn't going to do anything stupid. He was pretty sure he wouldn't, but there was always the chance he was wrong.

At least it wasn't crowded, in his current state it was getting hard to resist the instinct to just grab a stranger to steal their energy to heal.

Dawn went in, looking around the place curiously. It kind of reminded her of those open air markets from her homeworld.

Ethan found a collection of paperweights on a shelf. He left that area rather quickly and went to look at a case of packaged snack foods from different worlds. He held one up to show Dawn, "Look, candied tiny insects," he said, amused. "This place has some strange stuff."

Dawn came over and laughed at the package "I wonder if Armin would like that?" She said as she looked to see where it came from.

"Hmm, I wonder. He drinks a lot of smoothies, but I don't know if that's the only way he can digest things or if it's just a preference," Ethan said.

The packet said it was a delicacy of some species they'd probably never heard of that had six legs and was fuzzy. But the packet included assurances that the contents were safe for most carbon-based omnivorous life forms.

Dawn thought about that then shrugged "Hey, it'll show we were thinking about him anyway, right? And if he can eat it, it'll be a nice treat."

Ethan nodded. "Fair enough. If he can't eat it, he can give it to someone else or something." He added, "This store seems to have everything. Do you need anything?"

Dawn shrugged and chuckled, keeping the pack as she started to look around again "I don't know, but this is a cool place to explore."

Ethan nodded. "It's nice to just look at things," he told Dawn, "Gotta love the Guild's endless selection of things to see." He'd look around for a while, not really picking out anything to buy, just looking.

Dawn looked around too, stopping when she reached a section that had specialty things from her home world. She picked up what looked like a glass sphere and turned it over, smiling at the resultant element swirling inside. She set the bauble back and picked up a snack, setting it in the same hand as the other snack. "Uncle Rigel loves these."

"What is it?" Ethan asked, coming over to see what Dawn had found.

Dawn showed him the package of snacks, the lettering in Pandoran. It was some kind of gummy chocolate that was native to Pandora. "It's our version of chocolate, though the Terran version is hard, ours is soft and chewy."

"Well I can't say I know much about chocolate, but that sounds like something that would be good," Ethan said. "You should probably stock up on it, who knows when we'll find Pandoran chocolate again after we leave the Guild."

Dawn looked tot he shelf then nodded and glanced around for a basket or box to put the chocolate in. "True, and We both love this stuff."

There were some baskets over by the counter, Ethan went and got one for Dawn to drop all the snacks in. "All the more reason to stock up." He looked at the other items on the Pandoran shelves, "So all this stuff is stuff you guys invented on your home world?"

Dawn loaded up the basket and nodded, looking to the shelf again "Yes, this is all made on Pandora, for our people" She said and reached to touch various things with a smile.

"Do you think you'll go back someday? To Pandora?" Ethan asked, watching Dawn's movements curiously.

Dawn frowned then shook her head "No, or not for a long time." She picked out a couple of other tidbits then started to leave that area

Ethan followed. Huh. Weird reaction, coming from someone who seemed so happy to see stuff from her homeworld. "Bad memories?"

Dawn nodded then shook her head "Bad memories and nothing to go back to. I think..." She stopped and frowned, looking to a shelf so she wouldn't look at him.

Ethan blinked. Oh. Well then. "I get it. I won't ask anything else," he told her, sounding actually sympathetic for once. He totally got the whole not wanting to go back or talk about it thing.

Dawn looked back to Ethan and reached over to touch his arm "Thanks, it's not an easy subject for me." She said quietly then smiled a little "Besides, we aren't here for therapy, we are here to shop."

Ethan flinched at her touch, he really wasn't all that great with physical contact. "Right. Shopping, not issues," he agreed, firmly trying to make himself recover from his momentary fear.

Dawn let her hand drop to her side and focused on the shelves around them, looking for anything to get back on the topic of shopping for everyone.

Ethan looked at Dawn for a few seconds, then turned his attention to the shelves again. "I think there was some stained glass near the front," he said helpfully. "If you like stained glass."

Dawn chuckled and shrugged "We can see if there's anything the others would like, but the SD doesn't have anyplace for something like stained glass and I am not sure if we are going to stay together or not."

"It's interesting to look at though," Ethan said. "All the fancy designs."
