She chuckled, "It is, trust me I been there." Softly her face faltered before returning back to normal. "anyway... i uh have no clue what else to ask." Thaila said sheepishly.

Dawn chuckled and shrugged "We can see if there's anything the others would like, but the SD doesn't have anyplace for something like stained glass and I am not sure if we are going to stay together or not."

"It's interesting to look at though," Ethan said. "All the fancy designs."

Dawn nodded and walked with him to look at the stained glass "It is interesting."

There were all sorts of designs and shapes, silly fancy lamps, little prisms, pieces to hang in your window, that had birds and plants on them. It all ranged from incredibly tacky, to very nice.
Ethan nodded in agreement and looked amusedly at one very tacky stained glass dragon, when something outside caught his eye. "Is that Esk?" He asked Dawn, pointing.

(Holy crap I'm sorry for vanishing like that. Turns out there's zero cell reception where I was staying, booooo. Anyway, I should be back to posting regularly again now!)

(haha no worries man. It was by birthday so I was at the theme park ALL day. I'm sooo sunburned omg)

Esk was pretty much ignoring everyone around him, head down as he tried to breathe. Any time anyone got too close it took every ounce of self control he had not to lunge out and grab them. He should get back to the ship, screw the captain, he wasn't this important. Problem was, he wasn't totally sure he could actually stand up again. Eugh. Stupid, stupid pain and stupid instinct. He muttered to himself, which had the beneficial effect of making people think he was crazy and giving him a wide berth.

Dawn frowned and looked out side then to Ethan again "Can you pay for this and have it sent back to Vestia please? He doesn't look very good out there."

Ethan nodded. "Sure. I'll be out in a minute." He took the basket to the desk to pay and have everything delivered.

Esk continued to mumble to himself, clasping his gloved hands and glaring at the passers by who at least had the sense to avoid him and not stupidly ask if he was okay.
A young woman looked like she was about to approach but he caught her eye, scowling. "Go." He told her. She scurried off.

Security were watching him warily, none of them wanted to approach him either.

Dawn nodded and went out, approaching Esk. She noticed the security and the others as she came over, stopping beside him with her 'shield' up. "Esk? Are you alright? Do you want help back to Vestia?" She was sure to say 'want' instead of 'need' for him.

Esk flinched, he didn't need to look up to know who was speaking. "Don't get too close Dawn." He was obviously trying to keep his voice level and flat but not really doing such a good job. "I'll be fine." His eyes narrowed. "It's just pain." He was trying to convince himself more than anything. "I h... I should find Acus." He hesitated, no he probably shouldn't keep trying to find him in this state. He took a breath, unable to breathe that deeply with cracked ribs. "Someone... should find Acus." He corrected.

"We can do that Esk, you shouldn't be wandering around like this, you are still healing." Dawn said with a frown "Will you let me help you back to the ship? We can find some more critters to help you heal a bit more as well as search for Acus."

Ethan finished paying and headed out of the store to see what was going on.

Esk paused, he looked like he was going to tell her he was fine and to leave him alone but he thought better of it and nodded slowly. "I misjudged my stamina." He admitted, sounding annoyed. Truthfully he'd never been quite this badly hurt. Every other time he'd been seriously injured he'd been able to drain something like a person to heal, small animals really didn't quite cut it.
Of course, cracked and broken ribs hurt a disproportionate amount too, and couldn't really be stabilized which didn't help. "I already searched the bars, and the placed of worship, and any bodies of water... " He grunted. "If you find him, tell him he's a prick."

Dawn chuckled a little at that and nodded "Alright, but he may be trying to find a psychiatrist to help him over his depression, or another Avian" She shrugged at that, though she hoped he was going to try to get better. For the length of time she had known him, he didn't seem like the sort to do anything else. She circled a band of air around Esk to take some of his weight and to keep him from moving his ribs too much"Let's get you back and settled then I will come and look for Acus."

Ethan looked curious. "Acus is the black avian, right?" He asked.

"He had to be dragged to the last therapist and he's not exactly sociable." Esk reminded her, tensing a little at the sudden air around him. It was weird, really weird. He hoped Dawn was right, but at the same time, he wasn't the sort of hope for the best, or fear the worst, he worked on facts. Acus was somewhere, whether he was alright or not was another matter, but so long as he was still alive Esk didn't much care. Problem was, he couldn't be certain how self destructive the guy was. Acus seemed to fluctuate wildly from fine to attempting to stab himself in a throat, it was frustrating. "He wants to leave." Yeah, he wasn't stupid, he knew Acus hated it here. "Just.. fly off into the stars and not look back. But.. i'm not sure everyone will follow. Maybe he already knows that. The longer we wait, the less chance there is we'll even be able to get out of here before running into an army coming the other way. " He rose unsteadily to his feet, gritting his teeth in pain. "He hasn't been thinking rationally since Avia, and irrational unstable people are extremely hard to predict. " He glanced to Ethan and nodded. "Yeah."

Dawn frowned but nodded as she moved to his side, though far enough to not be touched accidentally "I know, when you are hurt, you sometimes push away those who want to help you, it seems to be common even out here."

"Do you need any help to get home?" Ethan asked. He shook his head, "So Acus is missing and depressed and possibly suicidal. Fun. If I see him I guess I'll drag him back for you."

Esk snorted at Ethan. "Or just lecture him about making sure he has a will before he decides to paint a room in his own blood. " He shrugged weakly to Dawn, clasping his hands together as if he worried he could still make a grab for her. "Same shit, different star system." He moved slowly, clearly exhausted and hurting despite his attempts to hide it.

Ethan rolled his eyes. "If you want stuff from him, you'll have to talk to him. I'm not negotiating a will for you." He followed along, in case Esk needed someone else to help move him. "I'll try and keep him alive if I see him though."

Dawn stayed just out of reach as she walked with him back towards Vestia. She would use her air power to keep him up and take as much weight as she could off his injuries so he could relieve the pain a little. She would be giving him some pain killers and making sure he couldn't reach alcohol for a while though.

Esk snickered weakly. "yeah like i'm any good at negotiating. I just don't wanna have to find a new job."
If he was at all grateful for the help he hid it well, focusing on putting one foot in front of the other and not breathing too deeply. The air brace was very strange and he wasn't sure he totally liked it, sure it relieved the pain and stopped him falling but it was weird and he couldn't help but resent needing the help.
"What the heck are you two doing out together anyway? Book shopping?" He guessed, as it was the only thing he could think they had at all in common. well, aside from the angst and repressed anger. Hmm.

"Book shopping, and looking around the city," Ethan said. "I was going to go alone, but she offered to come along, so I agreed." He smiled oddly, "Well maybe you can hire a lawyer for dealing with Acus."

Esk shuddered. "no lawyers." He said firmly.

Ethan looked amused. "You have a strong opinion on lawyers, I take it."

"I've never met one I didn't want to shoot in the throat." Esk muttered.

Dawn said nothing, focused more on getting them back to Vestia than in thanks or conversation, though she listened.
