Upon Vestia: Chapter Nineteen

(Day 11 I think)

James snickered. "Well she's elderly now and is spending her retirement in peace and comfort. That's good, right?" He lead Acus off in the direction of the cafe.

Acus rolled his eyes and fluffed his hair. "She wil be our ship when we leave thank you. Though we'll have to see who'll want to stick around or come with."

"True." James looked crestfallen for a moment. Darn, the deadly rattling ship would fly again. He brightened, "You probably haven't hung out with Vestia's crew much yet, have you? I'll have to introduce you to my new brother from the mirror universe, Ethan, and also to Armin the spider guy! And my niece! I have two nieces and a nephew now, isn't that cool?"

Sawna had asked Vestia for party music to keep the party going and made sure everyone had enough to eat and drink, mostly non-alcoholic.

Achs blinked and looked at James, "I really had no reason to interact with them.... So your gonna throw me to the wolves?" He weakily chuckled but held a slightly nervious look.

Vestia happily supplied music and service bots to clean the floor and serve food to the tables. She did like it when the crew got to enjoy themselves for a while.

Ellie had decided to stop drinking, thankfully. She didn't want to get smashed before the festival started. She'd head over to Shane to lean on him heavily anyway.

Tala was standing out of the way, drinking a beer.

"Of course I'm not gonna do that. You'll be fine, I'll make sure of it," James said. He smiled reassuringly, "Vestia's crew are all sweethearts. Except, you know, the ones who are complete asses. But the others are great."

Amity helped Sawna serve drinks and food to people, though he seemed rather out of his element with the whole party atmosphere. For a host, he really wasn't well versed in this sort of entertainment. It wasn't his area.

Hewitt dozed off in a corner despite the music and talking, leaves swaying gently.

Armin managed to wedge a straw under his mask to drink, but mostly he just chatted to people, enjoying the social interaction.

Having run out of places to show Web, Kay wasn't really sure what else to do. [Let's get you settled in] Who knew how long it'd take to get papers filed. it hadn't taken long with them, so hmm.

Web smiled and followed. He didn't ask that many questions, he just took in everything Asher and Kay told him about the ship and at Kay's suggestion nodded. "I believe Matt's become... distracted again." He chuckled.

Kay made a face. [He has the attention span of a gnat.]

"Now now, let's not underestimate gnats." Web responded with a smirk.

Matt nodded. "right, should we take strawberries or candy or something as a peace offering? " yeah, he found Heny intimidating okay? Okay a little hot too, but that was because he found terrifying violent women attractive. Ahem.
Still, he didn't much want to be hit again, or yelled at.

Shane looked to Ellie and chuckled, hugging her "Be sure to get some of that coffee before we go to that other party" He said softly, enjoying that they could be together as a group like this.

Sawna loved this too, watching the interactions of the others and making sure they were all satisfied.

Ellie grinned at Shane. "Don't you worry, I'll dose up on coffee too." She frowned suddenly and fiddled with her silver bracelet. She still wasn't entirely sure about going to this event.

Asher smiled and lead the way toward the rooms on the main level. Ah, brothers and their opinions of each other. Always entertaining. "We'll put you in a room that isn't too near anyone with children," he said. "It'll be quieter for you that way."

Shane smiled at her then hugged her again "Good, that means I don't have to tote you around and back to bed" He teased with a wink.

Thaila shrugged, and playfully slappes his arm " Oi, watch your thoughts Mr. Maybe I should do this a little later with you hmm?"

" I can't say eitherway since I been trying to avoid." He retorted but let the Andriod lead him along.

Ellie giggled and kissed Shane, because yeah, she was kinda drunk. "I wouldn't mind that, honestly."

James lead Acus into the cafe. "Hey guys! I brought a handsome captain to join the party!"

Tala looked up and smiled a cow smile. "Greetings, captain! It is most satisfactory to see you once more!"

"Well someone has to repair the ship." Acus said giving a soft smile to Tala before curiously looking around. "Huh, this ship is really more like a cruise ship."

Shane waved to Acus "Welcome to the party" He said then looked to Ellie again and chuckled "You are already buzzed"

Sawna looked over to Acus as he and James came in "Welcome to my cafe, can I get you anything?"

Ellie snorted at Shane's words. "Maybe a bit buzzed, but I'm fiiiiine." She waved to Acus. "Hey man! You're Acus, right? Want a beer?"

"Uh..." He looked at James and weakily smiled, "N-no, just a coffee please." Go figure, he gets drug to a place that serves beer. The captain been trying to stay away from drinks for a somewhat obvious reason after what had happen.

James smiled softly at Acus and headed over to the counter to pay Sawna. Hey, he'd dragged Acus here and Acus had bought him at one point, he might as well buy the guy a coffee.
He was relieved that Acus was trying to stay away from alcohol now. That was probably a very, very good sign. "Want a scone or something to go with the coffee?" he asked Acus.

Sawna would fix the coffee and set the cup on the counter "The beer's only for this party, most of the time this place is alcohol free." She said gently

"Do they have blue berry?" He asked, looking at Sawna thankfully. "I'm trying to stay out of the bottle." He admittedly sheepishly.

Sawna picked out a blueberry scone and set it on the counter "I hear that can be very difficult for some. Good for you for trying." Of course she wouldn't really know herself, the whole only drinking blood and healing automatically thing kept that knowledge from being personal.

"Our captain is as excellent as he is feathery!" Tala declared.

James made a shushing gesture at Tala, then paid Sawna. "Acus, this is Sawna. She's one of the people we brought from the other universe, not sure if you ever met her," he said.

Armin bowed his head politely to Acus. So, this was the infamous captain of the Silver Devil? "It is a pleasure to finally meet you sir!"

Amity beamed at Acus. "Enjoy your consumables honoured guest."

Web chuckled. "Oh don't go to too much trouble, i'm quite used to constant noise." He shook his head. "not to mention a complete lack of privacy. It's... odd having doors again."

Kay shot him a funny look.

Web smiled softly. "You get used to it."

Matt shrugged. "I dunno man, whatever you wanna do. "

"Honestly I suspect if I fell back into it the Minotaur would tank me right out of it by my tail feathers." He smirked nodding his thanks, he nodded to Amin but held this slightly pain look ath the 'honorable guest comment. "Just, Acus please. No honor guest please.." He looked at james, "I uh, don't know honestly that time was a bit fuzzy y'know?"

"Mm.." She paused for a moment, on top of the cravings Thaila had become more flighty too on plans and thoughts. "Actually let go get something to eat first, so I guess the cafe it is." (Lol, I'm gonna have fun with this...)

Sawna chuckled softly "I am a Carpathian, I am not sure if you have an equivalent in this universe, though I know you have vampires here."

Asher smiled softly. "Well if it seems too quiet for you, then we can try to figure out some sort of solution." He opened the door to a room and peered in to make sure it was unoccupied, then stood aside for Web and Kay to go in.

Tala wiggled her ears. "I would not harm my captain! I might carry him to safety though." She seemed amused by this.

James shook his head at Tala and took the coffee and scone to a table. "Carpathians are like vampires with healing powers. Sawna did some great work in the other universe after we took over that Vestia."

"Oh so like the Arran then?" Acus remark as he sat with James, "So this is your docile form then?" He inquired while nibbling onto the scone and doctoring up his coffee.

"Sawna's always pretty chill," James said. "I don't think she has a 'docile form', I think she just isn't mean ever." Not that he knew Sawna that well to be honest, but she seemed nice to him.
