The Professor headed to the library, he found the place strangely interesting. Oh sure almost all the reference books were wrong, but they were entertainingly wrong.
And with Amity otherwise occupied with charging in between pouring coffee, he was a little bit lonely. Not that he'd admit this of course, but he'd grown somewhat used to the drone's constant company over the past few weeks.

Ethan was behind his desk, firmly burying his angst in a detective novel from the children's section. He heard footsteps and tensed up, listening for the sound of humming, and looked sort of relieved when Hewitt came in.
"Hello Professor. Here to find more errors in my textbooks?" he asked, trying for a slightly humorous tone and only partially succeeding.

Kooshie wrote:"Oh well, at least you have us," Ellie said. She petted Vela happily. "You need to take a nap or something though? Seriously, you seem kinda tired."

Starr looked to Ellie then nodded. "A nap sounds good." She agreed then shifted and lay down, curling around the three babies and closing her eyes.

Ellie smiled and reached out to pat Starr on the back. "I'll leave you alone then," she said fondly. "If you need a babysitter I'm here for ya."

"Thank you Ellie." Starr said with a smile.

Ellie headed out of the room. Hmm, she wondered if Shane was around. She decided to see if she could find him.

Shane was in his room, reading a book from the library.

Ellie knocked on Shane's door. "Yo Cutie, you in there?" she called.

"Yeah, come in" Shane said, sitting up and marking the page in his book. "I figured you would be getting ready for the party tonight" He said as she came in

Ellie headed into the room, laughed, and shrugged. "Still a bit early to get started. I'm gonna wait so I can be fashionably late." She went over to Shane, "Watcha reading?"

Shane looked to the book, showing the title to be some adventure story about pirates

Ellie looked at it with interest, then flopped down next to Shane. "You know," she said, "I was talking to Starr and she said she needs a dragon boyfriend to be king someday. You planning on running off to be king?" she teased.

Hewitt chuckled lightly. "I even brought my own pen." He told Ethan, he might have been joking.

"You mark up my textbooks, and I'm chasing you out of here with a broom," Ethan said. He seemed tired, but looked a bit amused at least.

Shane snorted a laugh and shook his head "Me, a king? No thanks. Helper I could do, or a bodyguard, but I don't want to be a king." He set the book on the table beside his bed than looked to Ellie again "Besides, I'm only a half dragon, I'm pretty sure there has to be some rule about the king and queen needing to be full bloods or nobles or something like that."

Ellie snorted. "Man, dragons are racist as heck. I'd say it looks like a star dragon, quacks like a star dragon, and makes planets like a star dragon, it's good enough to rule." She nodded sagely. "Then again, I'm fine with you and Starr not being a thing." She pulled him into a clumsy but enthusiastic kiss.

Shane smiled and returned the kiss, hugging her back. "It's not really racist, it's trying to keep the royal line pure."

Ellie shook her head. She didn't get it, she'd grown up in a republic, and monarchies confused her. She smiled at Shane, "Guess you're a bit young for her anyway."

Hewitt chuckled. "I think I like terran androids. Oh you're woefully inefficiently designed, but you have moxy. I like that." He smirked and moved to find a book.

Ethan set his book aside and got up to follow Hewitt, just in case the guy did start attacking his books with a pen. "Well we live to please, so I guess I've fulfilled my purpose then," he said, now trying to sound dry. "I picked up some new astrophysics books for you the other day, in case you haven't seen yet, although I'm not sure why I'm wasting the library budget on this."

Hewitt laughed again. "How very kind of you." He went to look. "They may have utterly foolish views on magic here, but they do at least seem to vaguely understand quantum mechanics. " He glanced over at Ethan. "You don't have to look so bitter about it, i'm sure the company will show up to collect me eventually. If they don't, i'm keeping their drone." He snickered. "you know, as compensation for mental anguish and all that." He sounded dismissive.

"You think they'll be willing to part with company property? That'd be interesting to see. Seems like most corporations don't want to give away their computers, even as compensation for emergencies." Ethan pulled a book off a shelf and reshelved it in its proper place. He looked mildly interested, "Do Aketi even really suffer mental anguish? You're so different from all the squishy species, it wouldn't surprise me to find out you didn't."
