Upon Vestia: Chapter Nine

Thaila winced, "I...uhm dont remember much but that maaay of been me." He said sheepishly, "Sorry.."

Asher laughed softly. "I don't want to know." He added, "What's left on your to-do list? I can take over if you want."

Matt snickered. "Well, regardless, totally blaming you. " He pulled his shirt on.

Kay shrugged. [I'm about done. We've seen Starr, if Heny's up and about and in one of her moods I don't particularly want things thrown at me and I told Mourn to take the prisoners in the brig food earlier.] Mourn had poked his head into the medlab earlier that morning and been rather annoyingly cheerful. It was a good way to get rid of him until the painkillers kicked in. Hangovers and deaf over excitable cyborgs did NOT mix.
[I'm assuming my brother will show up at some point with yet another "unexplained" injury. Let's look forward to that shall we?] He rolled his eyes.

"Oh thanks alot." Thaila snorted but grinned, "Want to go to he med bay to get that checked out?"

"and have my brother lecture me again? Noooo thanks. Seriously I think he's just pissed off because he's not getting any." Matt laughed. "He's always angriest when it's sex related injuries, like oh man.. so much rage. Dude needs to chill." He managed to get dressed and stood up. He still felt pretty drained but at least he could walk. "After the whole.. broken nose thing yeah.. maybe just... don't mention it." He chuckled and took Thalia's hand. "It'll be fine."

"In that case, I guess we don't need to worry for now," Asher said, a bit relieved. "How's your head feeling? I suppose you probably already got painkillers if you needed them."

He sighed, "I'll admit I wanted to slap Asher for that." He would let matt lead him to the galley.

Kay nodded. [I'm fine. I took painkillers earlier, seems to have helped.] He started to walk back to the medical room. [I should apologize for my behavior last night.] He looked a little embarrassed. [Sorry you had to deal with me being stupid. ]

Matt shrugged. "I dunno, isn't he all metal or something? I kinda feel like hitting him would hurt you more than him." He chuckled. "It's fine, I should be used to the assumptions by now right?" He put an arm around Thalia as they walked, guiding him along. "Pretty sure the others think it's all we ever do, taking breaks out from our busy schedule of screwing like rabbits to eat and stuff, then right back to it. " He snorted. "I'd be offended if it wasn't so dumb. "

"Yea but it also tells you that they assume that we won't last." He huffed, "To be honesty not sure if we should announce yet to be honest.."

Matt nodded. "It's your call. You know I never care what anyone thinks. "

Asher laughed quietly. "It's all right. I doubt we would have had that conversation otherwise, and I'm kind of glad we did have it. It's probably good you stopped drinking when you did, though," he said in a gently teasing tone.

Kay blushed a little and averted his gaze. [I agree. Your timing was impeccable. ] He was right, they needed to have that conversation, though he couldn't help but wish it had been somewhat... more private. [Thank you for not letting me do anything too regretful. ] He smiled softly.

"Yea..but your thoughts? Honestly?" He asked.

Matt sighed. "Honestly? I think they'll be annoying for a bit, and then I think they'll be happy for us. It's not like I accidentally got you pregnant or something right? " He shrugged. "I'd kinda like people to know, but at the same time, it's kinda nice to have some time to get used to the idea and... have a bit of privacy for once." He laughed.

Thaila snickered, "As much privacy as we can get on this ship." He glared at the camera.

"Well yeah." He looked up at Vestia's camera and grinned. "How much did you spill ship?" He asked good naturedly.

Asher gave the closest camera a suspicious look.
The camera stared back in a way that might almost be described as 'innocent'.
Asher narrowed his eyes at it, then decided he was grateful for Vestia's meddling this time, and returned his attention to Kay. "I'm glad I could help," he said. "I suppose it's going to be a long while before things will be anything like they were, but it's wonderful to talk to you again," he added.

"I told Starr somebody got engaged. Nobody else knows anything," Vestia said smugly.

-_- "oh..when I can see again ship.."thaila growled.

"What? I didn't say who got engaged," Vestia said smoothly, "For all they know, it was Merith and Heny."

"We both know that won't happen." Thaila snorted.

Matt just shook his head, bemused by all this. "You know, it'd be kinda sweet if they did. " But yeah, no way were those two the marrying kind. Honestly he wasn't totally convinced they were the parent kind either but hey ho. At least Merith was sticking around. Mostly.
"I don't think we have to worry, Starr doesn't strike me as being much into gossip."

Kay looked solemn and nodded. Much as he'd love to wave a magic wand and have everything back to how it was, it wasn't going to happen. The wounds were too fresh for everyone. [I meant it when I said i'd missed you though. ] He smiled sadly to Asher.

"Yea, if if was ellie.." He shuddered.

Matt snickered. "stop worrying, come on, let's grab food and coffee or whatever and look out at the stars." He grinned.

"Fine fine, decaf for you mister." He snickered softly.

"Well what's the point in that?" Matt huffed. "It's alchohol free beer, it's an abomination I tell you!"
