Matthew's Ship

Ellie kicked things and yelled. She didn't like being grabbed by strangers, especially when they were most likely aliens.

The arcane missiles pierced into his heart, and suddenly exploded, dispersing arcane energy to quite effectively fuck up Thor's own, pouring the foreign magic into him.

He buckled in sudden pain, gasping for air as his body tried to combat it, "W-what the fuck!" He weezed falling to his knees.

"You like it? It was a technique used to combat magic users." Matthew said as he reloaded the gun. "The weapon would read the target's arcana footprint and develop a counter-arcana footprint that completely cancels out the user's magic. It would leave the magicians powerless for a few hours as the foreign arcana cycled through their body. It was suggested that it could be used to cure magic-borne illnesses and disease, too, but research is still working on that."

Thor growled and attempted to stand and charge matt, only to topple again in pain. "Y-you will pay for this." He hissed.

Matthew aimed his rifle again, this time to kill. "Probably." He fired. If he was successful, he'd order his men to dump the body out of the ship and prepare for unauthorized takeoff.

He was, and thor body was limp.

They would be questioned why the sudden leave not notcing thor body just yet.

Lai would of passed out by then.

Matthew immediately went into leader mode, "You two! Take Lai to the medical bay! Prepare for liftoff, tell them that we've received an emergency meeting with another contractor and we must leave now! Everyone, prepare your stations!"

The family aould question them again, and it would become more angry as they found Thor's body..

"Time to go..." Matthew forced liftoff, watching his gunmen aim fire at anything that tried to stop them mercilessly. Unlike Vestia, his ship was well equipped for battle.

Oh there was attempts, foolish ones by that. They would try to attack back but the base was made to defend not attack.

As Matthew's ship left the dock, he suddenly ordered them to turn, and in a fit of anger and 'Fuck you,' he ordered all gunmen to ready fire at the base.

They would attempt to get their sheilds up but there was chaos on base with Corvus now loose. They also prepared their weapons.

And so, the trading of weapon fire ensued.

The family held no mercy as they went to try to fully destory his ship.

Matthew watched as the ship did considerable damage to the base. Expertly he guided his crew. Shields up, aim for their weapons, aim for their generators. We were in their base long enough to map in out in our heads. Oh yes, they all knew where to hit. But a stray missile struck one of his engines, and his warning alarms blared. Swallowing, he'd know his ship wouldn't last much longer. With a dramatic flare of his trench coat, he twirled around, walking briskly, "Everyone! To the escape pods!"

Silv would help those get to the pods, she had Lai bag shich was given to her to try to repair something on it.

Matthew got to another escape pod with Lai, and made sure all the other escape pods ejected before his. He looked at Lai. "I am going to be the last to leave this ship. I'm not going to abandon a single crew member. They escape first or I die here. You have a chance to leave sooner."

She looked at him, admittedly not able to hide the fear, "O-okay." She said a worried look on her face at the last part.

He couldn't help but grin, "Don't you know? If not everyone can get off alive, a captain goes down with his ship." The smile faltered. "So, if you want to get on a leaving pod, you can."

"Stay." she said firmly, "A wife doesn't leave their mate in battle." She gave him a weak smile.

Matthew couldn't help but smile, and as the last of the escape pods released, his did too. Once they were far enough away, Matthew began controlling the pod. and from there sent a signal to his ship. The ship deactivated, frying its own hard drives so that so information or ways of tech building could be salvaged. Once all pods were accounted for, Matthew ordered everyone to send out distress signals, expecting little help, but really...

... Even the most odd of out outcomes were always possible.

The mage would follow, more using her nose to lead then matthew as all the good smelling bake goods were being made.

Matthew lead Perfomrer to the kitchens, where Claudia also began cooking a giant vat of stew, humming. She looked up at Lai, "Now now, hon, the long face doesn't get us anywhere. We must live and let live, and count our blessings. We are here, we breathe. We are alive and free. Do not feel so low, Sweetie. The Family will be brought to justice." Claudia looked at her in firm sympathy.

Lai, well promptly gave no reply as she started to kneed some bread dough, the mage arch a brow and looked at Matthew, "She affect, isn't she?"

Matthew nodded grimly, but his eyes were ablaze with an angry fire at the thought. "Yes."

The Mage sighed with pity and walked over to Lai, she spoke to her gently explaining her reason being there. Once finish she held out the hand scanner as lai looked at Matthew with question and confusion.

Matthew just nodded in reassurance, looking at the two women expectantly. Claudia had paused to watch what was ging on, the stew sat forgotten.
