She chuckled, "It is, trust me I been there." Softly her face faltered before returning back to normal. "anyway... i uh have no clue what else to ask." Thaila said sheepishly.

"Remembering everything could lead to undesirable traits, regularly forgetting is better for the stability of the mind." Amity nodded.

Hewitt couldn't help but laugh. "The drone makes an interesting point though. My memory isn't what it used to be after two centuries, but there's always things worth forgetting. " He shook his head. "What if you don't like what you read?"

Armin bowed his head again. "Now that is an interesting bet. I wish you luck. Just remember, not all magic is obvious."

Matt looked around. "So, the girl at the drinks counter said there were... shows and contests? Wanna go watch some magical jousting?"

Web tilted his head. "Magical jousting?"

"Okay so I have no idea what the contests ARE but hey, it's a thing to do right?" He grinned to Thalia. "And something that can be done sitting down." He nodded.

Mourn shrugged. "long as no go around biting people." He snickered.

Swarm shook their head. "Then we shall hope that it works for you. "

Thaila chuckled, "I'll do whatever you two wanna do okay?"

Matt extended his hand. "Come on, let's go enjoy the entertainment."

Web looked bemused but rose from his seat. "As you wish dear brother."

"you don't have to sound so put about by it!" Matt laughed.
He'd lead them off to the amphitheatre.

Thaila held his hand and followed him, laughing at the siblings.

As if Mattias was on cue, the singers all of a sudden at once went quiet, and with the half defeaned crowd, the ones that spoke among themselves settled down into a confused silence. Suddenly there seemed to be a spotlight, and someone gasped. Another person made a scream, but it was probably more for shits and giggles than actual fear. A slow piano started up and the figure in the spotlight opened her eyes. An actress of some sort, one would reckon, standing on the edge of the fountain, with an owl-like mask and a most impressive mantle of deep purple that swirled with stars. She smiled...

The twins found somewhere to sit with Thalia to watch the show.

"Well I guess eventually you can forget what you read again if you hate it," Ethan said. "Or I can read the scrapbooks for you and tell you what's in them, Sonata." History! First person history! From someone he sort of knew! It was a history buff's daydream, oh my gosh.

Kelli grinned at Armin, nodding. "Jason bets me that we might one day have magic of our own. I don't think we will, but when we reach old enough, one of us is gonna have to do all the chores for a whole year!"

Starr dipped her head again, smiling a little Thank you, we will do our best, for that is the best we can do.

Sawna smiled at the girl then looked up as the festivities started.

Sonata would begin to speak, only to quiet down as the lanterns around them dimmed. This only targeted the actress' spotlight more, where she began singing. Her voice was beautiful, but the lyrics were chilling, speaking of a sister whose resentment grew by the fact that her sibling was so cherished while she was supposedly left abandoned. It was the beginning of an epic, of a story. She gently floated off the fountain and began to walk through the parting crowd, her footsteps glowing against the stone. The masses began to follow her, those that were not already in the ampitheatre, anyways.

Kelli suddenly grabbed at Sawna's and Armin's hands, letting Heather fall to the ground. "Come on! Come on!"

Jason pouted slightly, looking over at Starr. "Uhm... looks like the festival is really starting, Miss..."

Lupa rested a paw on Titanus' should and Starr experienced a three-way telepathic connection. The festivities are starting, Titanus, we should go get seated.

Is that what all that ruckus is? Titanus let out a huff, which one would soon realize was more of a chortle. Yes, I suppose we shall go, then.

Sonata was tugged away from the group by her kids, smiling apologetically. "Would you like to sit with us?" She called out to the three.


The ampitheatre soon filled, the Foxfire Crew and Mattias, Web and Thalia proving to be just as lucky, though the cloaked figure that followed the kitsune earlier sat next the them, and would not reveal their face.

The woman floated to the  center of the Theatre, and waited for everyone to settle in and with two thunderous claps silenced the entire Colosseum-like building. She smiled, and fixing her witch's hat and her odd owlish mask, her silvery moon hair gently played with the nighttime wind.

"Welcome, one and all, to one of the first buildings made by the Anamcara! A sight that proves to us that the Guild was once a little more fun and banter than their dusky study habits now. A shame, I wish I was there to see this in its hayday! Welcome everybody to the ancient, if a bit barbaric, Bloodborne Theatre!"

She caused a mildly upset chuckle, even among the four High Inquisitors that attended, all of them looking amused, and all of them holding arcane liquor. Spinner's metallic face already looked quite drink and out of it.

"The Lunar Festival is more than just a homage to the satellites in our sky," the actress-woman continued, "It is a time to honor the past, to remember our roots, just as the moons always watch over us in our sleep like great protectors, our feet our guided by the lessons we learned from our history. And to be joyous in the peace a nighttime can bring, and tonight we shall come together in harmony to celebrate life, and to celebrate what each of our empires accomplished -- even if we don't all agree with it! Empires that fight wars and empires that fight injustice alike should be proud of their strengths... and celebrate those strengths in battle tonight at the Sparring Circle! Hold your heads high, warriors and diplomats! Tonight, we honor you!"

There was a roar of cheering, and she paused, waiting for it to die down as she continued. "Tonight's story was chosen out of many stories of the moon. The Tale of Two Sisters... For those of you whose first time celebrating the Lunar festival, the agenda goes as shown -- Act One starts an hour after sundown, giving us plenty of time to taste a bit of what the celebration is like in the Capitol Square. There is an intermission for the Tournament Games. Act Two starts at midnight, and then the second intermission, dedicated to the audience, where they are requested to play games and tell their own stories in the ampitheatre -- any way they please! And finally, just before the next morning sun, Act Three will bid us good morning -- and good sleep!"

Some more laughter. She grinned and held her hands out open.

"Now, are we ready?"

The crowd began to cheer again...

Web glanced to his brother, sounded like a busy night.

Matt held Thalia's hand and grinned. He noticed the foxes nearby but didn't speak to them yet, that would have to wait till intermission.

Armin let himself be dragged by Kelli, stumbling a bit as he struggled to keep up.

Hewitt and Amity had followed Sonata. Hewitt looked unimpressed. "blood sports? how barbaric." He snorted, but he kept his voice low.

Amity struggled a little in the crowd, it was a bit difficult to stay above everyone's heads and people kept walking through him.

Ethan looked amused at Hewitt and his never ending opinions, but didn't say anything. He wanted to listen to this.

Ellie hurried over to watch, and totally cheered along with the crowd! She didn't entirely know what was going on, but since when had that been a major setback for her?

Tala was whatever Acus was, so they might miss some of this.

Shane stayed with Ellie, going with her to find seats, thankfully near the rest of their crew.

Sawna laughed softly at Kelli's excitment, following the girl to find seats.

Starr looked to the actress then to Lupa and Titanus and dipped her head Perhaps we can speak more at another time, for now,
I will go enjoy the festivities. Sounds a bit like our Festival of Elders, remembering the past.

Mourn noticed people had started to leave the area but didn't quite understand why, after all, he couldn't hear the singing.

"Entertainment." Swarm explained.

Mourn looked more bewildered.

"Singing." Swarm attempted.

Mourn made a face.

It occurred to the Swarm that really Mourn wasn't the sort of person able to sit still and stay quiet long enough to enjoy any sort of play or opera sort of thing.
"Tala and Acus are nearby" With the other half of the Swarm.

"Chicken man?"

Swarm froze. They could sense the other Swarm. "We should go." The spoke in unison, which was particularly unusual for them.

Matt waved to the others as they came to sit down.

Kasi was somewhere in the crowd though for once his brightly coloured jingling attire didn't stand out so much. He was having a great time.

Shane waved to Matt as he sat then looked to the center where the woman explained things. Well, this should be interesting at least.

Tala and Acus were nearby, and Tala had no trouble smelling Mourn and his gross fur. "Young one! Swarm!" she almost bellowed, calling them over.

Mourn waved vaguely to the werewolf. "I go now." He told her and bounded over to Tala, oblivious obviously to the volume of her voice.

Swarm looked unsettled as they rejoined, buzzing fretfully.

"Bugs acting weird." mourn remarked.

"What is on your mind, Swarm?" Tala asked in a loud but kind tone. "You are ill?" She swished her tail, "Acus, this is Mourn! He is a lovely young man of most interesting food taste!"

Mourn tilted his head at Acus. "You chicken man?"

"Acus is our Captain..." Swarm told him.

"Ahh grumpy captain chicken man!" Mourn clapped his hands as he made the connection. "I Mourn. Engineer." He nodded.

Swarm seemed distracted. "We are not ill." "There is another Swarm nearby... " "We do not wish to meet them."

Acus weakily smile (this is happening a hour before returning to vestia lmao) at them, lYep, that me.."

"Another Swarm! You do not want to meet them?" Tala looked puzzled. "I should think you would wish to meet your own!"

Swarm buzzed agitatedly.
"They do not like us." "too different... " "far too different."

Mourn yawned. "They think this swarm crazy, no think like regular swarm. too many minds." He wriggled his fingers.

"We have been separated from the hive too long." Swarm lamented. "We cannot be accepted back into the great swarm."

Tala snorted. "They are ignorant. Fear not, we shall escort you home and defend you!" She looked to the others, "Come, we shall chase the other Swarm away if they cause trouble!"

"I'm uh...probably gonna head back." Acus said sheepishly, "please no fights okay?"

"We will return with you!" Tala proclaimed happily. "You are part of Swarm's escort now!"

Mourn snorted. "I explore more!" He declared. "Everyone distracted."

Swarm seemed to expect that, typical Mourn, what'd he care about other people's discomfort.

Disappointed as they were to miss the show, swarm was feeling increasingly uncomfortable out here.
The argued with themselves over it for a bit and split up again, a very small contingent of perhaps two dozen individuals decided to stay.
the rest, agitated and worried lingered close to Tala. "we will follow."

Tala lead the way back to Vestia.

(Tala, Acus, and Swarm go to Vestia!)

The woman bowed and suddenly the lights dimmed and everyone went quiet. There was a soft, hollow ringing sound that was very faint. In the middle of the ampitheatre stage, someone in a cloak lit a match, and set a candle alight. They read off a book, pretending to scribble in its pages as the cloaked figure, sounding female, spoke.

"I still remember it like it was yesterday, though it was countless moons ago. After he, the Chaos-Bringer was defeated, not much of our once beautiful home was left. But, the two guardians who stood up against his wrath, the elder Solaris, the goddess of the Sun, and the youthful Lunaria, goddess of the Moon, ruled over and protected the land from then on."

Holographic images sprouted to life, images of two sisters taking on human-like shapes, except their faces were of birds, fought alongside each other, striking down a large, chaotic looking chimera of incredible size, but the image was swept away into a grey and barren landscape, but the 'sun' and the 'moon' rose and cast light into the sky, the false orbs' designs intricate and beautiful, and spread their light across the bleak plains.
