Skye smiled again then looked back to his phone "Any luck on the codes?"

"It'll take way longer to perfect this stuff," Orel said. "Not sure I even have the skill yet, to be honest." He smiled, "You guys want to look around a bit?"

Skye nodded and smiled at that "I would like a tour" She said happily. Yay an excuse to spend more time with him

Mourn had already wandered off to poke and prod other things.

Swarm had scattered.

Orel smiled at Skye and lead her down a row of tables, showing her the many wonderful inventions people had put together. Someone had made a tiny robot pegasus, and someone else had made a baking soda and vinegar volcano. Someone had even been testing the aerodynamic qualities of paper airplanes.

Mourn had ended up catching the attention of one of the programmers who was eagerly gushing at him about cybernetics while Mourn stared at them and tried to follow what they were saying all while trying to get his hands on the small robotic creature they'd been working on.

Skye chuckled, looking at the different science experiments as they walked along together. She liked this and seeing the different experiments here.

"Are you interested in coding at all?" Orel asked Skye, looking at someone's screensaver they'd programmed to create random fractal patterns.

Skye shrugged and looked to the program then back to him again "A lot of that doesn't make much sense to me."

Orel nodded. "I could teach you sometime. Want to fly tomorrow?"

Skye smiled and nodded at that question "I would love to, being stuck on a ship doesn't give you much of a chance to fly anywhere, though we did get a holodeck put in so we could feel like we are flying."

"That'll be fun. It's been a while since I've flown with anyone my age," Orel said. "Should I meet you at Vestia around noon?"

Skye nodded and smiled again. "Yeah, that'll be great" She agreed happily

Orel smiled at Skye. "I look forward to it. It's too dark now or I'd say we shouldn't wait."

Skye smiled and blushed a little at that before nodding "Night flying can be fun, when you know where you are going."

"Not fun when you fly into a chimney," Orel said with a laugh. "Otherwise, yeah."

Skye laughed and nodded "Yeah, that isn't too fun." She said and looked around then back to him again. Yeah, it was still hard to look anywhere else for too long.

Orel met Skye's eyes, flushed, and smiled at her. "I should probably be heading home. You want me to walk with you back to your ship?"

Skye flushed and dipped her head "I would like that" She said with a nod then smiled at him again "It would also help you know which ship to come to tomorrow."

Orel grinned. "Good, I'd rather not mess up tomorrow and not be able to find you. Lead the way, Skye, I'd like to see your ship."

Skye looked around for Swarm, she had to let them know she was headed back to Vestia so that they and Mourn wouldn't worry about her.

Swarm split off a small number of themselves to follow Skye just in case. The rest of them disentangled Mourn from the roboticist who was enthusiastically asking endless questions about the felid's implants. "We should go back now." they told him.

Mourn frowned and looked around for Skye. "Where hawk girl go?"

She's safe. The gestured to her leaving with Orel.

Mourn made a face. "What so special about hawk boy?"

Swarm was amused. Well they are similar ages and the same species, it's only natural they may be attracted to one another.

"ew." Mourn remarked. "she already got babies look after, why want more?"

Swarm shrugged. Humanoid relationships aren't always about mating. We do not fully understand them, but from what we have observed, procreation is seldom the primary goal. Inefficient perhaps, but that is what we have observed.

Mourn frowned. "but only just met!" he protested.

Swarm nodded. We should give them space, let them get to know one another.

"That dumb, can get to know when other people around."

We can take the portals, come.

Mourn hesitated. "you think hawk girl safe?"

Some of us are watching, she will be fine.

Mourn looked skeptical. "I go with." He decided and hurried off after the two hawks.

Orel headed with Skye toward Vestia. "So... you and Mourn must be pretty close?" he asked. He'd noticed Mourn's suspicion about him. He wasn't sure if that was friendship or something else.

Skye shrugged and looked to him as they walked along "He is kind of like an older brother, you know, someone that wants to watch over you and keep you safe. He's been that way since he found us and saved us."

Whew. Not someone to be jealous of, then. Orel nodded. "It's nice that he cares about you guys," he said.

Skye nodded and chuckled softly "Yeah, him and the others on the ship. We have been through a lot together, so we are kind of all like family to one another, even though we are all different species."

"You must be quite an interesting bunch. A cyborg, a Swarm, avian kids, not to mention artuvians," said Orel, "That's a lot of variety."
