The Guild Capitol: Chapter Two

"Now we can find something for kids." Dawn said and moved to look around the place.

Ellie would probably finish her food first. She was excited to do things, darn it! Going electronics shopping was so much fun too. She waited impatiently.

Matt finished eating and looked at Ellie. "You're really keen to get going aren't you?" That or she really wanted to pee, he wasn't totally sure.

Ellie grinned. "Who wants to eat when they could be looking at things?"

Shane finished his meal and chuckled "But you have to eat to have energy to look at the stuff." He teased

"That's why I already ate," Ellie said, indicating her empty plate smugly.

Shane chuckled softly and nodded again "Yeah, ready then?" He asked, looking for the waitress so they could pay and go.

"I think if we delay any longer she might actually explode. " Matt joked.

"Yes, I might," Ellie agreed. As soon as they had payed, she sprinted for the door with a whoop of excitement.

Shane chuckled and followed Ellie to the door.

Matt followed. "Man, who thought electronics were so exciting." He laughed.

Ellie headed for the nearest electronics shop, hurrying in the door and looking around for the tablets section. "They don't mind cheap if we buy a lot of tablets, do they?" She said, pulling one made of creaky plastic off the shelf to look at.

"Shane followed her and looked around "Maybe, they will probably want decent quality anyway."

"I dunno, he only really uses them to write on. " Matt shrugged and couldn't help but picture Kay playing solitare on a tablet heh, seemed like something he'd do. "maybe make sure they can survive being dropped or thrown. I feel like if we get him enough of them he'll decide that hurling them at people's heads is now okay." He snorted. "so not too many to make them too expendable."

"Let's get waterproof ones. Kay hauls those things everywhere," Ellie said. "But yeah, not too many. We don't want him throwing them." She kept Matt in the corner of her eye as she started reading tablet specs.

Shane nodded and looked around at the types of tablets while keeping an eye on Matt. "Oh, this one is nice, and not too expensive either." He said, picking one up.

"Is it waterproof and drop resistant?" Ellie asked. She was looking at a tablet that had glittery flames on it. Somehow she doubted Kay and Asher would go for that pattern, but it looked cool.

"It is water resistant, you have to get the case for the drop protection. " Shane read then shrugged.

Matt had rammed his hands into his pockets and was looking a bit awkward.
"Sounds good." He nodded and struggled to resist the urge to pick things up and look at them. Bah.

Ellie smiled at Matt, looked at the tablets Shane had suggested, and nodded. "Those should be fine!"

Shane smiled and looked to Matt "You're doing great." He said then looked for a sales clerk to see how many they could get

Merith looked back up at Starr. His eyes flashed warmly, and a soft smile spread across his face. "If somehow, Starr, if my sentence is the worst case scenario... Please, be careful, all of you. If you really believe you can fight, just... Don't get killed."

Starr smiled a little and nodded "Of course, we do want to live beyond this fight, but it is a fight that at least seemed like an unavoidable one. Who knows if the dissolve thenselves, we may not have to battle them, at least not all at once." She said and shivered a little.  It wasn't a fight she wanted to do, but it was needed for survival.

"this is hard." Matt whined. He noticed the music station.. full of lovely synthesizers and keyboards. His fingers itched. Arghhh.

Merith gently placed his hand on the glass as well, his masculine hand slightly bigger than Starr's. The only thing in between their palms was a pane of glass as he seemed to be awestruck for a moment as he stared at the dragoness in a fallen silence...

Shane chuckled softly and looked to Matt again "Yeah, maybe we can find a museum that you can touch the stuff next?"

Starr gave him a smile at that "I hope we can get you free once more Merit, especially if we have to fight. I would like to know you can raise your children."

The man made another sad smile, forcing out a dry chuckle. "I would like that too..."

Starr nodded and chuckled softly. Of course he wanted to be free too, who wouldn't?
