The Guild Capitol: Chapter Two

"Now we can find something for kids." Dawn said and moved to look around the place.

The man made another sad smile, forcing out a dry chuckle. "I would like that too..."

Starr nodded and chuckled softly. Of course he wanted to be free too, who wouldn't?

"Do you remember the first time we met?" Merith suddenly asked the woman, appearing to be lost in thought.

Starr blinked and let her hand drop to the table, tapping it a little as she thought. "Yes, your house on that dessert planet."

"All right, let's buy these tablets and get out of here," Ellie laughed. Poor Matt.

Matt looked grateful, gazing longingly at the keyboards

Shane got 20 tablets and the cases to protect them and had them sent to Vestia in a box with his name on it, if only so they could be kept secret until they were ready to give them. "Let's head out"

"Aww yeah, let's get out of here!" Ellie grabbed Matt by the hand and practically dragged him out. "Presents! We'll buy their love and painkillers yet!"

Shane chuckled and followed after a moment. He had had a thought and added some battery chargers to the order, just in case.

Matt let Ellie drag him. "man, I think I should just stockpile painkillers instead." buying Kay's love.. hmm.. as soon as he broke the news he had to break to Kay he was pretty sure he was never getting painkillers again. He looked grim for a moment, then covered it up with his usual carefree grin. "so now what?"

"You okay?" Ellie asked Matt, noticing his expression.

Merith nodded, and seemed to flush a little as he looked away. "You didn't have to help me, you know. I could tell between Heny throwing pencils and the curtness of everyone else I wasn't a popular character."

Quinn The Fox wrote:"Hmm, I don't believe the University of Galactic History is on the Terran Unit, but we could always check the Great Archives..."

Ethan nodded as they headed off the ship. "Could be interesting. Did you know in this universe Hitler was a monster who had millions of people slaughtered? I was... surprised, to say the least. And then there's Jesus..."

Matt nodded. "yeah, it's fine." He lied. "so, accessories? What you think, fancy necklaces? bracelets? a tiara?"

Ellie looked at Matt uncertainly for a moment longer, then shrugged. Hey, if something was up and he didn't feel like talking about it, that was none of her business. "Oooh, tiaras," she said, "GOOD idea!"

"The sparklier the better." Matt grinned. He was master of distractions whoo.

Ellie lead the way... somewhere... in search of sparkly jewelry. She quickly started to forget Matt's strange expression, she had probably imagined it, right?

Starr shook her head and smiled at him again. "We may get mad about some things for a little while, but you are a friend, at least to me. I won't leave you to face this alone. Forgivness when the other is trying to do better is important."

"I thought we were b going to look for one of those touching museum things." Shane said as he followed them.He hadn't seen Matt's face.

"you think they have those?" Matt asked.

"We can certainly ask" Shane said and went to find someone to ask for them

Ellie waited curiously, hopping from foot to foot.

Sonata seemed to have a wry smile about the people within Terran history, as if she was thinking of someone she had personally known. She blinked, her face falling in awe as she looked fascinated in the idea. "Oh? Who were they in the Mirrorverse?"

Merith smiled at Starr, thinking for a moment as he seemed almost awestruck. "Starr..."

There were Peacekeepers everywhere that probably knew the capitol like the back of their hand... or paw... or magic appendage thingy, depending.

"Jesus was one of the great empire builders. The stories say that he was killed by his enemies, but he rose again and slaughtered them all before leaving Terra to return to heaven," Ethan said, "He's a role model to a lot of emperors." He shook his head, "And Hitler tried to bring peace and equality, but he failed. Good effort though. Funny how our universes are so different."

"That's... almost unbelievable. If I hadn't seen people hop to the Mirrorverse with my own eyes, I'd almost not believe it!" She chuckled, "But I'm pretty unbelievable in myself, so I suppose it isn't too much a stretch..."
