The man himself seemed down, shackles binding his arms and pressing down on his shoulders, the metal covered in glowing runes. He looked to Starr, slightly surprised as he quietly went to go sit down.

Starr smiled at him and dipped her head in thanks to the peacekeepers before focusing on Merith again "Hello again Merith. Are you alright in here?" That sounded lame when she said it, but she did want to know if he was alright other than being locked up of course.

Merith seemed to force a tired smile, "As alright as one can be when in prison. How is everyone doing, though? Vanessa? Heny? The kids? Has the Guild been treating everyone alright?"

"Everyone is well" Starr said with a smile then went on to tell him about the others then the robots being declared tier three and meeting some freed star dragons and crickets, basically catching him up on everything as well as she could. "We have been treated well so far." She said in ending.

Merith listened intently, as if every word was some kind of escape to his own freedom. He nodded in satisfaction at the end of it, leaning back. The chains rattled along with him as he did so. "Good... Good. I was worried that something came up. According to the gossip among the peacekeepers here, there's been talk of mutiny about... But it's only rumors. If nothing's come up, though, I'm sure it's baseless... Have you by chance, met Ares?"

"I don't think so, but a lot has happened since we arrived here" Starr replied after thinking on it for a bit. She had also been very distracted by finding some of her people here.

"There are enough species with elbow spikes for them to design for that? Yay!" Ellie looked at the jacket with interest. "Man, you should stock up on clothes here, Matt."

"wow.. that's awesome!" Matt declared, taking off the hat and scarf so he could try on the jacket. "Who knew there were so many of us freaks?" He laughed.

"Apparently it is normal enough here, think these guys took in more like you, or just other species that have elbow spikes?" Shane asked curiously. Well, he had just met another like him and saved that one, so it was a reasonable question

"If it was just for kevali, you'd expect the clothes to not fit you, but some of them seem big enough. Maybe there are reptilian humanoids," Ellie suggested. "That seems possible, right?"

Merith nodded, before he looked solemn, "He used to be the Military General and Tactician for the Family. I received word from Ares... About something that happened when we were imprisoned by them."

"What happened?" Starr asked with concern. She wasn't entirely sure what to think of that guy, she hadn't met him yet, so she wouldn't make a judgement yet.

Shane shrugged and chuckled "could be."

"Yeah probably more likely. I dunno how many Kevali outcast there really are, there's not many Kevali in general. And yeah, they're tiny" Matt chuckled. "well probably not tiny to you, they're Ellie sized." He grinned and patted her on the head.

Ellie giggled. "Yeah, I was going by Matt scale, not Ellie scale," she said. "But who knows? Maybe there's a ton of kevali with mixed ancestry out here who need shirts."

"Yeah I wonder... I mean, my dad hooked up with a Satare and that's gotta be wierd. It'd be kinda cool to meet other hybrids." Matt shrugged and went to go look through the racks.

Ellie imagined the mechanics of that, started snickering, then hurried off to find more clothes for Matt.

Matt eyed her suspiciously. "you're imagining the height difference aren't you?" He teased.

Shane chuckled and looked to the clothes again, looking for whatever they could find for Matt here.

Ellie looked innocent. "Naaaaah." But her giggles started again as the thought of Matt and Thalia, who had a pretty big height difference too.

Matt snickered and shook his head. "I don't remember them very clearly but I have recollections of him coming up to about her shoulder."

"That's not quite as funny as it could be," Ellie said. "Man, what's it like having Thalia so much shorter than you though? It's gotta be kinda weird."

Matt laughed. "Only when we're standing up." He told her and shot her a wicked smirk.

Ellie laughed, turned bright pink, and threw Matt a hat with a huge plume of feathers on it. "I guess that would make a difference, wouldn't it?"

"all the difference. " Matt cackled and put the hat on. "this is a fantastic hat." He remarked.

Shane laughed and turned away, nope, not adding to that conversation

"Aww I think we embarrassed Shane." Matt grinned at Shane. "Sorry."

Shane waved a hand and shook his head

Ellie grinned at Shane. He was kinda cute when he got embarrassed. "Oh yeah, that hat suits you," she told Matt approvingly.
