The Guild Capitol: Chapter Two

"Now we can find something for kids." Dawn said and moved to look around the place.

Shane waved a hand and shook his head

Ellie grinned at Shane. He was kinda cute when he got embarrassed. "Oh yeah, that hat suits you," she told Matt approvingly.

Matt grinned. "Well, if anyone asks i'll tell them you're my stylist." He held up a jacket with subtle embroidered vines and flowers. "Exactly how fancy do you think this festival is?"

"I have no idea how fancy it is, but my dress is fancy so you should go fancy too!" Ellie nodded. "If we're all overdressed, we'll stand in solidarity."

Matt snickered. "I like your thinking. " He picked out a couple of suits with a subtle pattern to them, one of them shimmered slightly when the light hit it just right. "I approve of sparkles." He grinned. "When you can't see colour so well, shiny shit is great."

Shane chuckled "That's like the one I picked out, looks solid grey, but has a shiny pattern of dragons on it."

"oooo very swish!" Matt grinned. This one had a sort of abstract wave design. He put it on and twirled. "what do ya think?"

"You look so good!" Ellie said. "Oh my gosh, so hot both of you." She nodded. "We're gonna be amazing, I can't wait for this party!"

Matt grinned. "We'll outsparkle everyone else, it'll be awesome!"

Shane laughed and nodded again "Yeah, we will" he agreed

Matt took the wave suit to go pay. Hey, he was sure they'd find more excuses to dress up fancy and Thalia did say he should take more care in his appearance hah.

"So we got shoes and clothes... now what?" He asked.

"Hmm," Ellie considered that. "We could get accessories, or we could go eat somewhere, or something."

"There's an internal struggle going on right now within their ranks. I don't know how, but Ares claims I caused it. Even if I did cause it, I don't know how. But it worries me. Erosion within their ranks makes them desperate. When someone gets desperate, they get irrational. And when someone gets irrational, they get violent." Merith recalled with a pained expression on his face.

"Let's eat" Shane said, paying for his and to have both sent to the ship then looked to the others. "We can window shop after."

Starr frowned and nodded "That is understandable, though I don't see how you caused it. We can hope the group disintegrates itself before they cause any more harm."

Ellie nodded. "FOOD." She flapped her hands dramatically, "Somewhere with meat. And desserts."

"Good plan, lead the way Shane!" Matt laughed.

Shane laughed and left that store, heading out and looking for a cafe they could all eat at.

Matt followed along, musing about how lucky he was to have such good friends who were so excellent at distractions.
He'd have to tell Thalia about the lunar festival though, and beg her to come because continuing to hide away was only gonna make people ask questions man.

"I'm thinking... " He told them. "that we should probably get Kay and Asher something nice, they're gonna miss the festivities stuck on the ship." He wondered what was going to happen there. Would Kay not shift if they were on the asteroid? did it just mean he couldn't go into the city through the portals that night? hmm...

Ellie eyed the cafes, looking for one that would cater to Matt's unusual dietary needs. She peered into one, waved at the lady behind the counter, called "Sorry!" And ducked back out to keep looking. "Vegetarian," she explained.
"Oh yeah, they'll be so lonely back on ship, poor guys," she said. Nobody wanted to miss parties, right?

"What do you think know they would like?" Shane asked then chuckled "Fancy tablets?"

Ellie snorted. "Armor plated tablets, maybe."

"Tablet protectors" Shane said then pointed to a place "That place does barbecue."

Matt laughed. "Well i think Kay's using Asher's tablet right now. Maybe we should get em a pile of cheap ones to stockpile. My brother seems to kill them or lose them at quite a rate." He eyed the bbq place. "that'll do."

"Good idea, that'll be perfect," Ellie said. She headed for the restaurant.

Matt followed. "What, the bbq or the tablets?" He teased Ellie.

Armin and Swarm were going to look into that new mask thing for Armin.

"Both, both," Ellie said vaguely. "But we gotta eat before we go computer shopping."
