Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

Lope looked away, blushing a little. Had to bring it up again huh? He shook his head. "It's alright. It's.. almost.. flattering I suppose." He glanced back at her. "What man wouldn't be flattered to get the eye of a woman such as yourself?" His blush deepened and he stared at his own feet.

She weakily chuckled, "Yeah, doesn't mean it not as embarrassing as hell." She took a step, not looking down at the wrong time her toe caught onto a loose root and she landed in the grass with a oofm.

Lope looked up in time to see her fall but didn't move fast enough to catch her. "Are you alright?" He crouched down to see if she was hurt and extended a hand to help her back up.

"Yeah." She grumbled, running the back of her head, "This gotta be Karma, it the only bloody logical reason I can think of for this day." She grabbed his hand in hopes of getting up without yanking him down, that would been too much for the poor Cyborg.

He tried to help her back to her feet, picking grass out of her hair and smiling softly. "Karma? Hmm, i'm not sure you did anything to upset the balance."

"I have a list of things I've done the last few weeks that probably did it." She huffed, thankful for his help. "Either that or someone been planting things on purpose." She tried to feel her hair to make sure no twigs or the like was there, she did not need the crew assuming.

Lope noticed a twig and picked it out of her hair for her. "The beds are a little uneven here, maybe we should go to this way." He indicated a path leading to another part of the garden.

Softly vicky smiled at his touch amd removable of twigs the like, "Alright, lead the way. My place has gardens but it mainly edible type."she explained, "With limit access to medical they use herbal treatments first."

Lope nodded "there is a vegetable and herb garden near the kitchen, the rest I think is just for show, and to give the gardeners something to do." He shook his head. "the Boss can't stand charity, so he just makes work for people..."

Vicky softly chuckled, "That were we differ. I forgotten how many families stayed under my roof due to their farms being destroyed... Or worse." Her face held this slightly sour look. "Now with the Military hospital there tension has risen between the population and the military l."

"Why do you involve yourself in their war?" Lope asked sincerely. "It never seems to end well..."

Softly vicky smiled before looking wt him, "Because I am defending my home, my family. I don't get purposely in the middle of the shardian bickery but sometimes one has to stand up for what right. It isn't easy, hell I could quite easily pull my none shardian status and be completely left alone. That isn't for me though."

Lope smiled softly. "So you have morals and want to help?" Seemed a bit odd to be a killer for hire but have morals, then again, he had morals and still helped slaughter people from a distance so maybe they were both hypocrites. He sighed. "War's always petty and stupid. Too much politics." He made a face. "I was in the navy once upon a time, thought i'd help my world but so much of it was just bureaucratic postulating and petty petty bickering about territory." He shook his head. "There were no bad guys to destroy, just... two nations who didn't like each other and were willing to sacrifice their own citizens to make a point. The only people who suffered were the innocent civilians caught in the middle. "

"Yeah, a Assassin with mororls. I know ironies." She laughed, "the Shardian fighting is...complexe. All nations have flaws, some worse then others. Doesn't mean you can't try to fix them if you call them home." Vicky said with a shrug, "Lyta dreams one day of being able to return back home and show her son her home town. Right now though it under gang control that would glady take her back as a 'breeder' and 'trophy wife'." She held this darken look, "and she hold no desire to work for the Cold Hearted Dutchess again so she can't return... Not yet anyway."

Lope made a face. "I decided a long time ago to leave saving the universe to other people and just... avoid politics." He sighed, looking up at the stars. "I wasn't strong enough to fix anything that broken. i'm just an engineer. I can fix machines, but whole worlds? not a chance. "

Softly vicky smirked and looked at him, "You never know, the strength can easily be buried there.. Or maybe you just haven't found the cause yet." Softly she place her hand were she assumed his heart would be. "Sometimes our heart decide things that we can't explain. It not easy, but who knows maybe one day your heart will find it reason to fight." She removed her hand.

Lope smiled softly at her, reaching up to touch the hand on his chest. "I protect my crew, I keep things running and.. I like to believe we're not the bad guys but... sometimes it's easier to just not think about it." He looked grim, hazel eyes narrowing a little.

The cyborg weakly laugh, "Yeah, sometimes we just gotta focus on the good qualities." She let her hand stay in his for how ever long he wanted it. "you should see the guild... It quite the mish mash but it works."

"Why DID you leave your old crew?" Lope asked at last, letting her hand go.

"Numerous reasons, they want to stay with a crew that wants to pick a fight with a cult. The new crew members were just not my thing...plus I wanted new sceney."

Lope considered that, then nodded slowly. "Alright." He suspected there was more to it than that but decided not to pry. "What's the guild?"

"Well, technically there two that I know of, the guild I'm refering to is my assassin guild." Vicky explained.

"and the other one?" Lope asked. "you mentioned another one, your other crew had gone there? Are they also assassins?"

"No, they are powerful group who probably will refuse to help in fear of keeping galatic balance." She stated

"I don't think I understand." Lope admitted.

"I didn't really listen in the talks about it." She admitted with a shrug, yawning a bit. "I had no plans of going to a place that act like they are holier then thou."

Lope smiled softly. "They sound insufferable. Why were they going there? This cult?"
