Perfect place to dump slavers.

"Right, and when I ask her, she'll say no." He turned to stare at the woman again before he sighed miserably, "You're not going to drop this, are you?..."

Mourn headed out, sniffing the air warily. Hmm.. salt... sand... he wrinkled his nose, slavers.
He edged over to Ellie, standing beside her protectively. She was crew, alone, unarmed. It was his duty to make sure she was okay.
He rested one hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Genetic material?" He asked, eying Matthew suspiciously.

"Starr was the first person to not hate me back when I was still a jerk, and I owe her for that," Ellie told Matthew. She smiled at Mourn, glad to see him.

Matthew sighed. Great, more company. "Very well. It appears that you won't leave me be until I give it back." He turned to the android, who whined a bit as his eyes shifted into disappointment, "Matty! You can't be serious! Judas needs this for his arcana research and development.

"If you want to walk out of here without having daggers on our backs, it's best if we just give the children what they want."

With a huff, the android released his containment cells that resided in his chest and took out the vial in question. Reluctantly he handed it to Ellie. Matthew said nothing and turned to walk away in silence.

Mourn peered at the vial. "Blood?" He looked at Ellie, confused. "Why slavers have blood? Who's blood?" Weirdo slavers.

Ellie took the vial. "Thanks, buddy! Maybe you're not such a bad slaver after all. Starr will be glad to have this back." To Mourn she said, "Who knows? Maybe for science. It IS pretty special blood."

Mourn looked confused. "Special blood? What so special?"

He watched the slavers go though, somewhat relieved to see the back of them. They really seemed to have riled up the crew.

"Special rare dragon blood," Ellie said, turning slightly so he could read her lips as they headed back to Vestia to drop it off. "Hey, any idea what a lycanthrope is?"

Mourn tilted his head, frowning. "Lycanthrope..." He ran that through a dictionary. "werewolf?" He shrugged. "Why ask?" He didn't know anything about infectious diseases, he was an engineer, not a doctor. He was more interested in the special rare dragon blood, frowning after the slavers. "Why they want blood? What do with it?"

"The other vial they had was werewolf blood," Ellie frowned, "Well at least it wasn't anyone from our crew, we don't have any werewolves. No idea what they wanted to do with the blood. They're weird guys."

Mourn nodded. "Very weird. Wonder where got werewolf blood." he shrugged. "Didn't know werewolves real... mm. " He looked around at their surroundings. Well, at least it was lovely and warm. Sunshine felt nice. He wasn't so sure about the salt in the air though.

"Gonna find hawk girls, they like to fly. " He gestured the sky. "Lots of space here."

"Okay, have fun! I'm gonna go give this bottle of blood to Starr," Ellie said cheerfully. "Maybe I'll ask her about werewolves too."

Mourn nodded. "Dragon lady smart, probably knows lots about werewolves." He smiled.

Ellie went to look for Starr.

Starr came to the ramp, looking after the leaving slavers then to ellie and Mourn. "Hello"

"Terran rescued blood for you." Mourn told her matter of factly.

Ellie held out the vial of blood. "Hey Starr, this is yours, right?"

Starr blinked and looked at the vial then took it with a shrug. "I guess, i was out fairly often, it could be." She said then looked at it again "Not that I can put it back in." She added jokingly

"I figured you didn't want it in the hands of the slavers," Ellie said cheerfully. "Hey, what do you know about werewolves?"

"Could drink it." Mourn remarked, and he was probably joking.. Probably. He gave her an odd half smirk.

Starr blinked at the werewolf comment, looking away then turning to dispose of the vial so it couldn't be used. She wasn't sure what to say about the other. "Werewolves are typically insane by that disease affecting the mind. A few survive that stage. It is infectious and those found to have the disease are usually killed so that it doesn't spread."

Kay followed Vestia's directions to find Ellie, who was apparently standing just outside. And happened to walk in just to hear Starr explaining lycanthropy. He froze, trying very hard to keep his face blank despite the sudden terror rising inside. Why were they talking about werewolves? How much had Starr already told them?

"Ooh, good thing nobody on Vestia is a werewolf, I'd hate to have to live in fear of being infected by a monster," Ellie said. "Wonder who the poor fool they took that blood from was."

Kay took out his tablet, best to distract this conversation... now.

[Ellie, i've been looking for you. Matt needs some distracting and cheering up, but don't get him too drunk, he's on painkillers. ]

He then turned to Starr, frowning a little. [Are you ready to go shopping?]

"Ooh, sure thing," said Ellie, completely oblivious to the discomfort she was causing, "If you see any werewolves, run away!" She headed for Vestia to go find Matt.

Kay tried very hard not to wince at that.

Mourn tilted his head, noticing that, but shrugged. Assuming maybe Kay just didn't like werewolves or something. Or was just being his usual cranky self.

"I got find hawk girls." He left to go do that.

Starr sighed and shook her head, holding up the vial. "Let me dispose of this and we can go...apparently the slavers had this of my blood and a vial of lycanthrope blood on them. We should have gone through their stuff."
