Upon Vestia: Chapter Eight

Starr held on when the airlocks were opened, keeping her position.  She waited to see who if any of the slavers would reach her first. Shane, doing the same in his position.

Skye and Moone nodded, moving closer to the vent to be ready to get the younger kids inside

She wince slightly in pain at each hop but said nothing as she just focus on walking/hopping.

Asher followed fairly closely, ready to catch her if she fell.

She stubbornly made her way towards Matthew room.

Kay knocked on Matthew's door and positioned himself so that he could catch Lai if she fell, but Matthew couldn't see him so easily. Mostly because he just didn't want another debate with the guy. Neither would win or lose because neither would ever be able to agree with the other.
It was a frustrating exercise in futility Kay really didn't have the energy for.
It was still morning and he was already exhausted. Eugh.

Asher gave Kay a look that was half sympathetic, half amused, and opened the door to Matthew's room. "Go ahead, Lai," he said gently, "Be sure to tell Vestia if you need anything."

In time thaila finally the the strengt in his limbs to move instead of helpless flail. With a exhausted grunt he went to get dress decided he needed a large jug of coffee. "Matt? You able to move..?"

Lai nodded and managed to make her way in, leaving it where the medics could close the door.

Matthew looked up from his brooding and noticed his wife there, instantaneously he was next to her and cradling her gently as she looked like she was about to fall over. All his attention was focused on her and her alone, "Lai, are you alright?"

She blinked at the sudden coddling, her brain obviously trying to regain mental composure other the 'ow walking hurt ow ow ow'. "Y-yea." She said, a look of relief of not being isolated anymore she just rested there. Her mind was flooded at the sudden change of being alone to being back with her 'flock' her emotions started to get the best of her as she started to softly cry.

Asher watched for a moment, suspicious, then sighed and closed the door. At least poor Lai wasn't alone, he supposed. Still, this was not something he felt entirely comfortable with.

"nghh.. maybe?" Matt managed to get himself into sitting position, stretching his aching limbs. Laying in bed this long wasn't entirely comfortable. "Man, I think I hurt my shoulder." He complained as he tried to get dressed.
