Upon Vestia: Chapter Six

Matt nodded and helped Thalia out into the hall, giving Merith a wide berth. No way was he trusting that guy.

"Like I care about soundproofing any more. My audio systems are half deaf now because of you," said Vestia.

Matt laughed. "She's mad right? She's actually mad." he stood up to go uncover the camera and smiled charmingly into it. "Aww come on Vestia, we're sorry"

"I DID NOT NEED TO SEE THAT," shouted Vestia, rotating her camera away.

He was silent, before managing a weak smile, "I used to be part of the Family, remember? And was rather known among them, as well. News travels quickly..." he began to turn away, "But seeing how so many people here react to me, knowing what I did... I won't force the same on you. If you want to tell them, you can, but I will bear my own punishments myself."


Shock shrugged again, "Well, I like how it turned out." he grinned, "And I'm glad you do, too."


Sonata nodded silently. "As far as I know, there are two humans with this Perfect Gene. We don't age, we don't scar, but as far as we know, we can get sick, and we can die from wounds and poisoning, or anything lethal. I met the man a long time ago, during the years of the Italian Renaissance, and again was able to glimpse at him two hundred years later in an English train station, but I lost him in the crowd..."

Matt snickered and found some pants. "Like you haven't seen it all already. Fine, we don't need your spy cameras"

Mourn nodded. "You met robot yet? " Speaking of marvels of technology.

Thaila started to roll on the bed laughing his ass off.

Heny closed her eyes, "....I can't sleep most of the time when I think about it.." She said softly, "...Actually I rarely slept until we rehooked up."

"Good. Leave me alone," grumbled Vestia. "Now cover my camera!"

Matt ignored the ship and got dressed instead. What was she gonna do? Send that irate little taser wielding robot to come harrass them?

Starr tilted her head a little. "Amazing. Two humans that will never die of old age, one male and one female? It almost sounds like an Adam and Eve story, like you are meant for each other."

Thaila coughed and searched for his clothing, "Uhm.... Dude any idea where my stuff is at?"

Matt shrugged. "Uh... it can't have gone far right?" It's not like the room was that huge. "And I suck at throwing so if they're anywhere, i'm totally calling it.. you threw em." He laughed and helped him try to find his clothes though.

He snorted and dug around, it took about 10 minutes to find all of his stuff, "Went wild this time." He snickered.

"Yeah THIS time, like that's something new." Matt pulled on his shoes. "So, how we gonna get these down the hall? Think anyone will notice, care or try to stop us?"

He snorted, "We both know it could of gone crazier... Uhm can shove them into you pocket"

Matt nodded. "Probably." He did so, picking up the "balloons" and just blipping them out of existence as if it was no big deal. It took a few minutes to get em all, he even dug under the bed to find the last few that had disappeared under there. "Right, I think that's all of em. Now we just gotta break into my brother's room" He snickered. "That shouldn't take long."

"Naw, should be easy to hack" He grinned and went out the door.

The pair of them went giggling like school boys down the hall to break into Kay's room.
Matt actually wasn't sure how his brother would react to this, he only knew he wouldn't be amused. He really had to lighten up.

It took Thaila five seconds to break in, then in total 15 to decorate the room.

"Well, definintely more decorative in here now." Matt nodded, Kay's room was always so spartan, Matt found it depressing.
"Let's get outta here before he comes back"

Merith said nothing. What could he say? He wanted to comfort her, but how could he if every time he steps forward, she steps back? He sighed, trying to think. Well, whether she finally started sleeping or not, it did not matter if she no longer wished to have his presence near her. He merely looked to the floor.

"Ongoing project" He tapped his own head. "Fixing, upgrading." He looked excited. "Fixed robot doctor too." He nodded happily. "No more pesky laws."

She noted the look, and gritted her teeth, 'No...your not going to leave...not again" She choked, grabbing his chin and stubbornly yanked him to look at her. "Months, months I lived wondering what hell you were going through... but instead you escape and don't contact us at all, leaving both me and Vanessa thinking the worse...you, you..YOU JERK!" She gave him a slap, venting the anger that had built up before she buried her head into his chest as she bust up crying.

"Agree, gotta make it hard for him to kill us." He laughed.

"agreed." Matt laughed and ran for it.

Kay wasn't sure why, but he just had this feeling his brother was up to something stupid. Eugh.

Thaila wisely followed after Matt, "I wanna hang nearby to see the results. "He snickers.
