Upon Vestia: Chapter Five

"All right... right, we'd better get him to the med... the med bay," Asher said. "And... and do some tests to see what's needed."

"Well not often. Doesn't snow on Melanoc, just rains a lot." He was paying zero attention to what Thaila was doing.

Kay shot Asher an odd look at the punching remark but nodded. [Should be. ] He wriggled his fingers in his mittens. [bit hard to type in these though.] He kept having to take one off to actually write.

The male smirked and took aim, hitting Matt squarely in the back of the head and quicky ran for some cover.

"Hey!" Matt stumbled forward, laughed and whirled around, trying to spot Thaila in the snow. "Right, if that's how it's gonna be. " He held out a hand, the snow fall drifting calmly into the palm of his hand and rapidly gathering into a ball. He threw it up and caught it again a couple of times, then came looking for the other guy.

"Hey! thats cheating!" He called out, foolishly revealing his location at the same time he scrambled for a better hiding place..

Matt laughed. "Hey, you knew what you were getting yourself into!" He called back, spotting Thaila and hurling the snowball at him.

Ellie shrugged. "If you say so. Oh look, they have a statue of a moose!"

Asher looked at Kay's mittens and laughed. "I guess we won't be talking much until we reach the supply depot, then. Ready to go?"

Kay nodded, tucked his omnicom away somewhere safe and headed out into the cold.

Asher looked at Kay's mittens and laughed. "I guess we won't be talking much until we reach the supply depot, then. Ready to go?"

For once Ellie was right, and Shane nodded as he walked over to the stature with her "Yeah, it is."

Matt ducked for cover, scooping up more snow to hurl. "Yeah but it's not as fun." He juggled snowballs while he waited to see where Thaila was hiding now. As soon as he caught a glimpse he'd throw all three toward him.

Asher followed him, temperature sensors instantly telling him how cold it was outside, as if he couldn't guess. He shivered, instinctively imitating a human reaction to the cold.

Kay hunched up, yeah he was feeling the cold despite his layers.
Eugh, snow. Matt would be delighted. In fact, he could see him not that far away running around like an idiot. He rolled his eyes.

Asher followed him, temperature sensors instantly telling him how cold it was outside, as if he couldn't guess. He shivered, instinctively imitating a human reaction to the cold.

Shane looked at her with a frown then sighed and looked back towards the statue "I didn't mean it like that. I don't think of you as a moron or anything like that. I...I guess I am still not used to normal people" He said, looking away from her at her reprimand.

Asher was a bit worried about Kay, who looked miserable out here in the cold. He picked up the pace a bit.

Ellie grumbled something under her breath that included the word 'males' and the word 'potato'. Then she sighed. "Okay, I'll give you a free pass this time, because messed up upbringings."

As three headed his way Thaila managed to hit Matt in the face.

Shane looked to her then back to the statue again, it was safe to look at that "I had meant that I hadn't seen one before either, it was a confirmation to me that it is one." He said quietly.

Oh Kay would cheer up once they were out of the snow. He trudged after Asher on the slippery slushy ground. How anyone could enjoy snow was beyond him. It was cold, it was wet and it was awful.

Matt spat snow, grabbed another pile and ran at Thaila. "Oh you are in for it now!" He pelted him with snowballs and tried to tackle him into a snow drift for good measure.

Thaila landed with a omph and started to laugh hard unable to defend himself at this point. They landed into the snow with a puff, making a nice endent into the white cold.

Matt snickered. "HAH." He grinned down at Thaila.

"What?" He smirked and expertly flipped matt to were he was ontop, "You were saying?~" he teased.

Matt struggled half heartedly. "No faaaair. You're smaller than me, you're not meant to be able to" Snow was starting to drip down the back of his coat but he didn't much care. He just looked up at Thaila, raised both arms and pulled him into a kiss.

"I'm not that small." He snickered cut off by the unexpected but well received kiss he had to remind himself that they were in public sadly... And it was butt cold >.>

They reached the depot, and Asher held the door for Kay, then pulled down the hood of his jacket after he closed the door again. "That is not nice weather out there," he said with a laugh.

Matt used the opportunity now Thaila was distracted, the dump snow on his head, wriggled out from under him and run off laughing. "Late Ellie! LATER!" He called back.

Kay looked thankful as he brushed snow off himself and pulled his mittens off, shivering. He nodded and dug out the omnicom.

[At least it's warmer in here. Can you even feel the cold?]

Thaila squealed and struggled to get loose, "Your SO paying for that!" He yelled, following in high speed while ignoring the ice down his back.

Shane returned the hug, muffled as it was between both coats. He blinked and looked after Matt then chuckled lightly "Alright, let's go find something to do before we freeze here"

"Sense? Yes. Feel? No," said Asher, keeping his voice low. He smiled, "It certainly makes things easier in some ways."

Ellie nodded, and lead the way toward the main section of town before Matt or Thalia could try to take revenge for her comment.
