Heny and Merith entered with little Syren, heading to the table with the others.

"Hey!" Ellie waved cheerfully to the Keepers. "Check out our new friends, Matt and Kay!" She pointed to each brother in turn, introducing them.

Heny blinked while hearding Syren to sit between Merith and her. "Hey..." Her nose twitched at the smell that came from the two young men, "Dare I want to know how you met them? And please tell me they aren't the reason Vestia's droids are in a pissy mood."

Ellie waved her arms vaguely. "Matt showed up with some drones on his tail, Kay followed. They gave us some half-baked excuse for why Matt had attracted drone attention. We decided like them." She looked at the brothers suspiciously, "Have you been messing with any ships?"

"Vestia didn't say anything when we were there." Starr said with a frown. "It's something to ask about." She said then bit her lip to keep from revealing their two more permanent passengers in front of the brothers since she didn't know if they could be trusted yet.

Matt waved cheerfully to the newcomers, the broad grin never leaving his face while Kay simply raised one hand, nodded and smiled shyly.

The definitely didn't look related.

Matt shifted a little so the newcomers could sit down and waved a hand dismissively. "Not a clue who Vestia is." He did wonder if that was the lost looking woman he'd failed to pickpocket earlier but eh, he was probably safer not knowing. "And messing with ships? Wouldn't even know where to begin. As my brother here can attest, my knowledge of all things mechanical is uh... not so good."

Kay looked amused and nodded in support, the look on his face seemed to suggest that his brother's knowledge of ANYTHING was not so good really.

"Why, what's wrong with the ships?" Matt couldn't help but be curious.

"Vestia is the smartship we all travel with," Ellie said, "She doesn't take kindly to vandals and trespassers."
The waiter returned with more bread, which she pushed toward Kay and Matt.
"Are you ready to order?" the waiter asked.

Starr glanced around at the others then back to the waiter. "Can you please give us another minute to look at the menus? " She asked since Heny and Merith hadn't had time to look yet.

"Very good. Take your time," the waiter said, smiling politely and leaving the group to look at their menus.

Starr smiled and looked at her menu to pick what she wanted to eat and drink.

Kay smirked at Matt and helped himself to more bread. Matt looked sulky, gazing after the waiter sadly.

"So... Vestia's the ship? Huh.. okay." Matt shrugged. Sure, living ships, why not? The transports they'd travelled on thus far had all been old, barely held together buckets of rust and bolts.

Starr pushed a menu over to the brothers sso they could decide what they wanted to eat there. "Yes, she's friendly to those who follow her rules."

"Well that's... reassuring? What are the rules?"
Matt looked over the menu halfheartedly, when you had as a restrictive diet as he did, you tended not to actually bother looking at all the fancy stuff other species seemed to insist of smothering perfectly good meat in. What even WAS the point of sauce? Was it to cover for the overcooked leather that used to be meat?

Kay glanced over as well, the bread had done a remarkable job of easing the worst hunger pangs at least but he knew his brother must be about ready to club something over the head at this point.

Kay was honestly more curious about their new "friends" than food now, and he looked over the assembled group curiously.

Ellie grinned. "Don't be a raging xenophobe, for starters. She's not a fan of those." Noting Matt's unhappiness, she asked, "Are you okay?"

Matt laughed at the xenophobe remark. "I don't actually think that's possible at this point." He looked to his brother. "Kinda hard to be prejudiced when you're already a half breed." He shrugged.

Kay indicated the bread, then Matt and shook his head.

Matt sighed "Yeah, can't eat bread. Or fruit.. or vegetables.. or dairy products... " He counted off on his fingers. "going hungry is better than the stomach ache."
He waved a hand. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure they have something I can eat."

The human nodded in agreement. "That would help. You'd get along just fine with Vestia's passengers." She frowned at Matt's list of allergies, "So what can you eat? I mean, there must be something, because you haven't starved."

"Meat wasn't on that list" Starr said, looking at the two again then to Ellie and remembering what Matt had said before about eating rats. She shifted her wings, settling them more comfortably in the chair then looking at the menu again. "This restaurant prides themselves on fitting any taste, look on page 3, the carnivore section" She added, glancing to Matt again.

"thanks" Matt smiled, that was definitely the dentition of a carnivore.

Kay looked meaningfully at his brother, who coughed and nodded.

"Okay okay. " He looked around "He uh.. wants to know who you all actually are. You never introduced yourselves."

"Oh," said Ellie, "Whoops. I'm Ellie." She looked at the others, not sure if they wanted to make their real names known or not. They were all so very secretive, after all.

Heny had gotten side tracked by the menu and spaced ouf briefly before jolting back to reality as she listened to the people, "Well, what your skills?" She asked curiously.

Ellie pushed the napkin Kay had written about Matt ("He's good at heavy lifting and anything nobody else wants to do. Make him clean your sanitation tanks.") toward Heny. Then she waved her hand at Kay, "And he's a medic."

Kay nodded and looked around for another napkin. He passed that toward Heny.
It read:

"If you desire, I can list my references, or I can communicate telepathically with the permission of those assembled. I understand if you'd rather not have a stranger in your head though, but I will need more napkins if we are to converse in this manner"

"Seriously, what did he write about me?" Matt insisted, trying to get a look at BOTH napkins now.

"I am called Starr" Starr answered then leaned over to see the second napkin then looking to Kay "I would like to learn how to speak like that, if I can but not here." She said then pulled out an omnicon to hand it over "You can borrow this for now, it'll help."

Kay took the device and examined it carefully.

Matt peered over. "What does it do?" He asked.

Heny held this bemused look, and causally wrote her reply back to Kay, "Go ahead, i have mental guards up so you dont get a overload." Causally she swiped the first napkin so Matt couldnt read it, and she spoke outloud, "We always need a medic, specially with recent happenings. Oh, Sulon and Thaila wont dine with us tonight." She said dismissively

"A lot of things, but it's set on the notebook right now" Starr explained and smiled at them then looked to Heny and nodded.

Heny quietly waited for the two new victims reply.
