Terra - Ottawantreal

A huge North American city, built in a mishmash of styles from many eras of architecture. the spaceport is bustling and filled with cruise ships, racing yachts, and transport craft. It's full of shops, clubs, gardens, and tourist attractions.

The weather is currently cool but sunny.

Helen chuckled and grabbed a cart to start looking for toys for the young ones.

Dawn nodded then chuckled softly "We will need a room just for the blood supply, won't we?"

James started looking around, starting by looking for coloring books. He found some with dragons, and took all of them after making sure they didn't have any dragonslayer pictures, and also picked up some books with robot pictures, because he could.

Asher laughed. "Maybe so. I'm sure Vestia has a plan." They reached the depot, and he led the way into the pickup area.

Helen looked around, picking out some plushies the kids could play with or just lay on. She smiled at the coloring book choices, hey, that worked.

Dawn followed him in, finding a seat as he dealt with getting the leg so he could look it over. She took the time to send a message to Vestia, asking if she had a plan or a room for such a blood supply they would need.

James happily shopped around, filling Helen's cart with some fun building toys once he had enough coloring books and crayons.

Asher used Vestia's information to get the employees to bring out the leg, and then checked it carefully with them to make sure it was in perfect working condition. He soo did not want this expensive leg to come with any problems.

Vestia responded that she had a nice big climate controlled room they could store blood in, and that they could safely store many months' blood for Sawna and Amari.

Helen looked to the cart when they had filled it then looked to James and chuckled "Think we got enough?"

Dawn smiled and sent a message back about how much blood they planned to get using Asher's estimates.

"I mean we're supplying stuff for a lot of kids, so it's okay to go overboard, but we've done a good job," James decided. "Guess we'd better pay up, huh?"

Asher finished inspecting the leg, and started arranging for a delivery guy to take them and the leg back to Vestia.

Vestia replied that that sounded fine, and did they want to order the blood, or should she?

"Yeah, we should." Helen agreed with a chuckle as she turned the cart to the checkout.

Dawn looked to Asher, asking him if they simply wanted Vestia to order the blood supply or if they would. It would be simpler for Vestia to order and have it delivered to her.

James tried to make Vestia pay, and eventually the ship did authorize the payment. "Shall we have this delivered while we explore more?" he asked.

"Yes, let's have Vestia order it," Asher agreed cheerfully. "That sounds easier."

A delivery van drove up to take them and Amari's leg to Vestia.

"Sure, better than trying to carry all of it through the streets." She said with a chuckle.

Dawn nodded and sent the message back. "Alright" she said and carefully stood to go out to the van with him and the legs."

James started arranging with someone to have the stuff delivered. Pretty soon a truck would come to take it to Vestia, leaving the two free to do whatever they wanted.

The delivery van guy got the leg into the van, and then helped Asher and Dawn to get in as well.

Then they set off back toward Vestia.

Helen waited for the stuff to be taken then looked to Jane's again. "Now what shall we do?"

Dawn sighed and rubbed her side, even healed it still bothered her when she pushed herself.

James considered the question. "Hmm, we could go bowling or something. I can beat all the Terrans in bowling!" Then they'd probably beat him literally, but who cared about that?

Asher smiled softly at Dawn. "We're almost home, and then you can rest."

The van would reach Vestia before long.

Helen chuckled and shrugged "That sounds fun, even if we end up only playing against one another. Let's go."

Dawn nodded and looked to him. "Yeah, I will go rest when we get back." She agreed (yep)

James grinned, and headed out with Helen, looking around for bowling alleys or other attractions. "Have you done any bowling?" He asked. He knew Helen had been to Terra before, but really he knew pretty much nothing about her. It was fun to get to hang out with her a bit.

Helen chuckled and nodded. "Yes, though it has been a long time." She replied, looking to the map she had gotten before to see what it showed.

There weren't too many bowling alleys in town, and the nearest one was s couple miles away. "Aww, that's inconvenient," James complained. He nodded to Helen, "Are you good at it?"

Helen flagged down a taxi for them to use. " Good enough. You ever played before?"

"We're talking a taxi?" James looked way too excited about taking a taxi. This was something he'd never done before. "I'm great at bowling, androids have good hand-eye coordination." He looked smug.

Helen chuckled again. "Yeah, that's too far to walk" she said and got in. "Come on,."

James got in the taxi. "Hey man!" he said to the taxi driver, "we're going to the bowling alley. Can you get us there?" He gave the guy the address, then looked around the car delightedly. "I'm in a car! A taxi! On Terra! Holy crap!"

Helen laughed and nodded "Yes, we are, you are very excited about this."

"It's a new experience, and it's even indoors sort of," James said. "Of course I'm excited."

Helen laughed and looked ahead. It wasn't a long ride, though it would have been a long walk. Helen paid the driver and got out when they arrived.

James thanked the driver, hopped out and looked around, before heading toward the bowling alley. "Do you suppose there will be many people at this time of day?"

Helen shrugged "I have no idea" She admitted quietly as they headed in.

The bowling alley wasn't hugely busy at this time of day, but there were people at a few lanes, practicing together. Mostly older people, who were most likely retired.

Nobody really noticed two more people coming in, except the skinny teen at the front desk who looked up and smiled an awkward smile in greeting.

Helen returned the smile kindly as she came over to the desk to get a lane and the shoes.
