Upon Celestial Tiger: Chapter One

First topic message reminder :

A small, fast space yacht. The last owner named it Celestial Tiger.

Three small bedrooms (with bunks), one bathroom. Very small storage hold. combined dining/living area. Everyone's going to hate each other by the end of this road trip.

Rigel smiled and held her hand, making sure she was covered and as comfortable as he could get her "Just get some rest now Luka."

Luka nodded, laying back. "Well that makes a change from the usual." She let go of him. "No Luka, you're too young. I'm your commanding officer, i'm already married... get some sleep is new." She sighed.

Rigel chuckled and leaned over to kiss her cheek "You are drunk right now Luka"

Luka stared at him. "I know... " She frowned, clearly very confused. Her inebriated brain was just not processing things well right now. "wha... ?"

"Just get some sleep, we can talk more later" Rigel said and shook his head.

"oh.. okay... " Luka mumbled, relaxing into her pillow. She still looked bewildered but drunkeness overtook everything else and in no time she was asleep, snoring lightly from the alchohol intake.

Ethan and Tala were in the living room, Ethan sitting in a corner reading a book, while Tala seemed to just be thinking her own thoughts.

Ethan kept glancing at Rigel and Luka's room. If they became an item because Starr had made some eggs, that was going to be really weird.

Rigel made sure she was comfortable and fully asleep before he dared to leave the room, coming out to the main room to find a chair and relax into it. He was deep in thought though.

Ethan looked at Rigel curiously. He bit back his questions, he didn't think it'd be wise to ask.

Tala sniffed the air but stayed quiet.

Part of Swarm gathered with everyone else, but they chittered amongst themselves rather than trying to make conversation.

When Rigel came out they asked. "Is she alright?"

"Yeah, she's fine, just drunk. She's sleeping now" Rigel said as he glanced to Swarm then to the others. "I should get some sleep, she won't be much use as a pilot when she wakes. Not with that much alcohol in her system." He would fly them if they had to go anywhere.

Tala nodded. "Rest well. If we must fly soon, we shall request someone else. There are many options."

"We should ready pain relief and liquids." Swarm suggested. That helped with hangovers right?

"Just wake me if there's need before morning." Rigel said with a shrug before getting back up "I may not specialize in flying, but I can do so when needed."

"Yes, Luka will need something for the pain after how she drank tonight," Ethan agreed dryly. "That can wait for when she wakes up though, we don't want to go disturbing Starr without good reason."

Tala nodded to Rigel. "Fear not, all shall be well. Ethan is also able to fly this ship."

Rigel chuckled and nodded "No matter what, we will have someone able to fly as needed." He agreed

"Sleep well, Rigel. We shall defend the ship," Tala proclaimed. She fully planned to guard the ship all night, she didn't want to leave it undefended after what happened to Starr.

Ethan nodded. He totally was ready to draw his dagger if a keeper showed up here.

"We shall keep watch." Swarm declared, scattering to do just that.

Rigel nodded and went to his bed, checking on Luka on the way

Luka was sound asleep, still snoring softly. She'd probably sleep like a rock till morning.

Tala would stay by the door all night.

Ethan got a book to read and plugged himself in.

TIMESKIP - THE NEXT DAY

Tala wasn't as energetic as she'd been in her youth, being a middle aged minotaur meant that she didn't have the ability to pull all-nighters any more. She had fallen asleep on her feet at around three in the morning.

Ethan had left her to it. Hey, he didn't need sleep, so he could keep watch. Besides, he was sorta suspicious that she might deck him if he woke her. He read all night, when he wasn't thinking about all the books he could give Starr to help her feel less awful.

Starr woke around 5 in the morning and raised her head. She saw Sawna was still awake and reading in the room before she got up to get a bath then went out to see what she could get to eat. The extra sleep had been good for her

Ethan looked up when Starr came out, and nodded in greeting. He hesitated, not sure whether he should say anything or not. "Good morning," he said after a bit.
Caring about people was weird, he was still a long way from being used to it.

Starr looked to him when he spoke, she had thought he was 'asleep' and dipped her head at ignoring him when she came out. "Morning." She replied softly then glanced to Tala before heading for the galley for sustenance.
