Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

Hytar nodded. "By whom?" He asked.

Fay frowned then shook her head a little "The only way to know now would be something like a DNA test, any records would have just been destroyed."

The specialist told Hytar. There wasn't much use in lying. "What next, are you going to go to their shop and take everything?" She asked wryly.

Tala nodded. "All right. That is good to know."

Fay nodded and dipped her head a little "Where will we go now?"

"I'm no thief." Hytar told her. "but I like to keep my eye out for ussseful aquisssitionsss. May I ssssee them?" He gestured to the goggles. "How did you come to be a ssspecialisssst in thissss field?"

"That depends on what you wish. You may go to the Mimosa Empire to live there, or you may go to Vestia, the ship where your queen lives. Either way, it is all right," Tala said.

The specialist took off her goggles and handed them over. Looking through them would give any magical objects in the room a golden glow, and any runes would be easy to see because they glowed brighter.
"I was curious about magic, so I started reading. I got an apprenticeship with a magical items specialist, and learned a lot. The rest I've learned by talking to the right people and by experience."

Hytar looked through the goggles briefly, then put them down. He didn't give them back.
"sssuch a sssshame..." he mused, more to himself than anything.

Fay blinked and looked up to Tala again before tilting her head "We would be allowed to stay with the queen?" She liked that idea, but at the same time was concerned about the eggs and getting them and the weaker ones somewhere safe. They would have to discuss the options.

The specialist looked wary. "What's such a shame?" It was never a good sign when your captor started saying things like that.

"Your queen lives on a large ship. The ship can fit all of you with ease," Tala said. "And your queen is a nice young woman who will be happy to see you." Never mind that Starr was four times Tala's age, she was a nice young woman.

Hytar snorted. "that I can't ssstand ssslaverssss or thosssse that work with them. You could have been ussseful." He shook his head. "Oh well. Sssuch issss life issss it not?" He drew his gun.

Fay smiled at that and dipped her head again "We will talk to one another and come to a decision."

The specialist swallowed hard. "I'm useful! I can help you! You'll find me to be a great asset! Don't kill me, I don't want to die!"

"Very good. I will leave you to it," Tala said. "You can speak to your queen as well."

"In my exssperiencssse, very few people genuinely wissssh to die." Hytar told her softly. "ssstill, you've proven yourssself to be willing to work for anyone who can pay you. How can I be cssertain you wouldn't sssimply ssstab me in the back firssst chancssse you got?" He calmly loaded the gun while he spoke. "I don't like having to keep people locked up. " A nasty smirk crossed his face. "of coursssse, I could hand you over to the other sssship and let them deal with you. I'm ssssure thosssse you helped keep prissssoner would love to get their hands, and clawssss on you."

The specialist shook her head. "No, don't hand me over to them! Please, I can work for you! I'm loyal! My old employers died!"

Fay nodded and smiled at her again "We will, thank you for your help."

Hytar smirked, he was rather enjoying this. "Continue to be ussseful and perhapssss i'll let you live a little longer. But ressst assured, the moment you ceasssse to be a use to me, or ssstep out of line in any way, I will disssposssse of you. Underssstand?"

Tala cow-smiled at Fay and headed back to her command post.

"Understood," the specialist nodded, terrified.

Fay smiled in return before going to settle and start talking to the others on the ship.

Hytar looked pleased. He put the gun away and picked up the goggles. "You'll get thessse back if I need you to have them. " He got onto the com. "Arissston, essscort our... guesssst to a secure room and ssset a guard."

The specialist nodded. "Yes sir, I understand."

Hytar nodded and stood up.

Ariston came in, he gestured that the specialist follow him.

"Before you go, what issss your name?" Hytar asked.

The specialist got up to follow Ariston. "My name is Alicia Robertson," she said.

Hytar nodded. "Go, settle in. You'll be brought food while I think of a ussssse for you."

Ariston led her to a room.

The specialist nodded and left with Ariston. Well, she was still alive. That was a start.

(I'm up for a timeskip. I think Hytar's ship was scheduled to catch up with the others around Terra, but no reason we can't sync time up at least)
