Hytar's Ship

Vicky was busy setting up her quarters, after some negotiations and the like she had join Hytar group for a while. Busily she set up her gaming system, though knew since the new upgrade she wouldn't be playing all night. While many races found sleep annoying she found it delightful being able to do it now.

"Yes," Tala said, speaking for the group because she was Rigel's second in command. "I and Shane," she nodded to Shane, "Will be joining your crew for the duration of this mission." She looked to Swarm, "You wanted part of yourself to come along, did you not?"

"And I'm here to escort Ivor and Silence to the Silver Devil," James said. That walk home was going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully nobody would try to mug them, ugh.

Swarm bobbed up and down. "We would like to accompany you, we shall be able to keep in contact with our other selves and have already scouted out the target." "We know where the slaves are kept" "and where the guards are stationed."

Hytar considered this, smirking slightly. He nodded. "What are your sssskillsss?" he asked Tala and Shane.

Lope frowned at the knives, moving to get dressed. "Don't do this." He pleaded weakly as he pulled a clean shirt on.

"You heard what Hytar said... I have no choice." She said softly, "I can't magically become better by this evening.. I'm not a god."

Lope shook his head. "It'll take days to get to this place, fake it." He was grasping at straws now.

"You honestly think he wouldn't see through that?" She pointed out.

"I was a bodyguard" Shane said with a shrug "I tinker in engineering and have magic." He paused and glanced to the others then back to Hytar "We have killed keepers from the Family so that they stay dead too. I am good at hand to hand and gun use, and decent with a blade."

"So... what about us?" Lope asked tentatively.

Hytar tilted his head. "Keepersss? dead for good?" ooo that was interesting. He'd heard rumours of course, but actual proof? never.

Shane nodded and smiled at that "We are stronger than we seem sometimes. They wanted a war with us, so we gave them one, and we were left standing after. There's actually a couple of ways we found to kill them permanently." One just took a lot longer than the other, but then, you had to have magic to send one to the center of a star.

Hytar smiled a rather unsettling smile. "I've heard sssstoriessss about daggersss, but they ssseemed to be jusssst legend."

"We have them, and they work really well," James said, nodding.

Hytar's smile broadened. "How convenient. You believe there'sss a chance we may encounter ssssome at the Hold?"

"At least one." Swarm told him.

"If he's still there, we will kill him this time" Shane said, trying not to show his anger at the keeper.

"My brother killed the other keeper we know for sure about, but one keeper is still around. I'm sure you guys can kill him to though," James said. They'd better. Those two keepers were monsters.

Hytar nodded, seemed this was especially personal.

Ariston came back with Silence and Ivor in tow. They had bags in their hands and Ivor looked extremely anxious. Silence just looked her usual somewhat irritated self.

"Ahh there you are." Hytar nodded to the shifter pair. "The android sssayssss he'sss here to essscort you to their ssship."

Silence nodded.

Ivor fiddled with the straps of his bag.

Hytar stood up and went over to them both, looking for a moment almost tender as he spoke to Silence. "Thisss isssn't permanent, your mother will sssstill contact you."

"But it's safer... " Ivor finished. "We we... understand s... sir."

Hytar nodded. "Good." He turned away from them. "I'm putting a great deal of faith in your crew." He told James. "Don't let me down."

James nodded to Hytar. "We'll make sure they stay safe. Rigel's good at protecting people, and Vestia's like a city-sized mother hen." He smiled at Silence and Ivor, "You'll love Vestia. She's incredible."

Ivor cringed.

Silence took a deep breath, put her hand on Ivor's shoulder and led him over to James.

The rest of Hytar's crew waved vuagely, the majority of them didn't seem overly sad to see the pair go. A couple were more genuinely enthusiastic but there was the distinct impression neither of these two were overly popular or social with the crew.

Hytar nodded. "Well then, off you go then." He looked to his valet. "Arissston, essscort them will you?"

Ariston nodded. "Sure boss!" He bounded over to James. "Lead the way robot man."

James smiled at everyone, and looked very relieved when Ariston was volunteered to escort them. He was pretty sure he and these shifters did NOT want to walk home alone. Not on this station.
"Nice meeting you guys," he said to Hytar's crew. "Stay safe Shane, Tala, Swarm. We're gonna miss you guys, and we want you back as soon as possible, okay?"

Swarm bobbed up and down. Half of them would remain with the Silver Devil, the other half here. It limited their ability to shift forms but oh well.

"Stay safe" Shane said, smiling at them as the others left to head back to the Devil.

Ivor looked anxious, he kept grabbing at his head.
Silence kept her hand on his shoulder and guided him firmly after James.

"Do you think I want this to end...?" She said softly, "I dont."

"Do you think I want this to end...?" She said softly, "I dont."

Lope looked at the floor. "I don't know what you want anymore vicky..." He admitted.

James led the little group back toward the Silver Devil, keeping a concerned eye on the new passengers. "It's gonna be fine," he told them as they walked. "Really."

Tala snorted happily. "Now we may get to work."

Hytar nodded. "Yessss, asss ssssoon asss my pilot reappearsss we can depart." He rose. "Misssss Al Nadir, pleassse sssshow our guesssts to their quartersss. "

A dark skinned girl in a headscarf rose from her seat and nodded her head to tala and Shane. "Come on." She mumbled rather rudely.

"Be polite." Hytar cautioned.

"Of course... sir." the girl practically spat the words, but she gestured that Tala and Shane follow her.

Ivor and Silence cast one last look back at Hytar and his crew and followed James (silver devil whoo)

Shane got up and grabbed his bag to follow the sort of rude female.

"You think I do? I never, had a relationship like that that didn't end up with me trying to kill the guy because of a job or come to find out he wasn't so nice drunk..." she softly rubbed her cheek.
