Through the Looking Glass: Chapter Four

Kay pulled him further into the room, so they had a bit more privacy. He tucked the tablet away so he could use both his hands, snuggling into Asher and carefully resting one wing around him as well. Yes this was very wierd, but it was also really nice.

Kay stared Quinn down, as it warmed up a bit his teeth stopped chattering so much and he stopped shivering, but he looked pretty pissed.

Quinn had done a good job freezing Asher, and the cold went all the way into his body, only kept away from his battery by his struggling heater. He'd start to warm up, but it was going to take a while and hurt a lot.

Mirror Shane headed for the bridge, bringing cuffs and checking on the location of the princess and her guards as he did. No way was he going to leave such a dangerous being free to go after his princess, either one of them...he had no way to know for certain which one was which at this point.

As the door opened Esk pushed into the room, scanner held out like a gun.

"Well doesn't this make a change, saving your stupid ass." He spoke flatly.

Kay shot a glare at him.
I really hope you have some cuffs on you. He didn't lower the gun.

Esk snorted and held up a set. "Unlike you and your moron crew, i'm actually prepared." He aimed the scanner at Quinn. "Come quietly, or do I get to see what this actually does to you?"

Mirror Quinn growled, flinching as Shadow Third seeped out of her shadow to input. "I'd listen to him, you know."

She snarled at Mirror Third. "Why are you helping him?! You'll be locked up too!"

"I'd be fine with that." Mirror Third nodded sagely, "I actually recommended it before you regained control. No one did anything, though. And if you don't come quietly, I'll have to force my psyche back over you to make sure you do."

Mirror Quinn continued to growl, stepping back, and hackles raised.

mirror Shane came in and looked at the situation, assessing it quickly then pulling out his cuffs and speaking to Esk "Keep that on her while I cuff her" He said and moved to do just that.

Asher noted that the bridge scanner was recharged. He stayed near the controls, ready to activate it again if needed.
Of course, that would hurt all the anamcara, so he decided to wait and let the others handle this unless something went very wrong.

"Get your boyfriend outta here, he doesn't look too good." Esk spoke flatly, nodding toward Asher and stepping toward Quinn.

Kay holstered his gun and reluctantly left Esk to deal with it. He was better able to do so after all, but he still didn't really feel right just running.
He edged over to Asher, keeping his eye on Quinn just in case she tried something stupid.

"listen to your better half sweetheart. Sit, stay." Esk kept the scanner trained on the fox.

Asher tried another smile at Kay, although again, it kind of failed. He was fine! Seriously, just fine!
He didn't want to leave the bridge scanner just yet, okay?

Mirror Quinn growled and lowered her body, but otherwise did not move.

Meanwhile, Prime Third began floating over to Asher, inspecting him without wanting to touch. "You should walk, warm yourself up again. They can handle it."

"Be my guest." Esk told Shane, gesturing to the fox and keeping the scanner trained on her.

Mirror Shane came over to Mirror Quinn to cuff her then pick her up to take her to a cell. He didn't much like this though.

"I can... I can warm up right... right here," Asher told Prime Third, "Walking isn't... isn't necessary." The pain was really making him lag, which was frustrating. He did his best to ignore that and focus on the matter at hand.

Kay looked worriedly at Asher.

Esk didn't take his eyes off Quinn's mirror.

Mirror Third closed his eyes as the magic suppression echoed through the fox's body. He disappeared underneath the anti magic and Quinn's presence as she was picked up, freezing and growling.

Third shook his head. "It'll feel much better once you get moving. At least sit down, then."

Asher would stubbornly stay at the controls until he was sure that mirror Quinn was fully restrained. No way was he going to leave until he was sure they were safe.

"Any other stupidly overpowered and probably insane and evil members of the crew we haven't locked up yet?" Esk asked. "Because i'm not saving your asses again. Next time, it's YOUR problem." He scowled at Kay.

Kay frowned. Thank you. All of you. He looked around. [Get her somewhere secure, Starr's mirror duplicate can deal with what to do with her after we're gone.[/i] yeah he was way too mentally exhausted for this crap.

He went to Asher's side, looking at his worriedly.

Now where had he thrown that tablet? Eugh.

Esk tossed him paper and a pencil.
"You're welcome." He told him flatly, and would follow Shane.

Shane glanced to Esk and dipped his head then headed for the door "I think anyone else will at least wait until you all are gone"

"good. Because i'm getting pretty tired of dealing with overpowered psychopaths." Esk snapped. Yeah he didn't trust Shane, so he'd follow him all the way to the cells to make sure Quinn was secured.

Asher finally stepped away from the control panel, then realized that was a bad idea and went to lean on it heavily. The pain from before had been replaced by a bizarre sensation that was like things stabbing him repeatedly, and it was at least as disorienting as the pain had been earlier.

Kay rushed to help Asher catch his balance, and found a chair. <Maybe you should sit>

Mirror Shane took Mirror Quinn to the magic warded cells to put her in one and set her on the bed before coming out and locking the door.

Asher nodded dizzily and sat down. Yeah, standing wasn't really working for him right now. Best to not try it for a while, this was better, at least he couldn't fall on someone this way. This was really, really unpleasant.

Esk would come all the way to the cells, and continued to hang onto that scanner and his own set of anti magic cuffs. Never knew when you might need them after all.

Mirror Shane looked to Esk after the fox was locked up and dipped his head "Thank you for your assistance."

Third sighed as Asher sat down, and also gently placed himself to the floor. He slowly rose his body temperature and looked at Asher and began to walk over. "This is a one time only deal, got it?"

Asher blinked at Third. "I don't know what... know what you're planning," he said uncertainly.
