Upon Vestia: Chapter Thirteen

"Probably," Asher said. "That's the consolation prize."

Luka closed her eyes and listened to the rumbling of the engines. "You're such a beautiful ship." She murmured, opening her eyes again and walking into the room with Rigel, looking up and around in awe.

Vestia didn't have RGB lighting in here, so she couldn't blush. "I'm glad you like it in here," she said, sounding a bit embarrassed but pleased.

Asher smiled up at one of her cameras and idly went to check her engine readouts.

Rigel started wandering around, checking readouts and how things were put together in here "Simply incredible" He said a couple of times as he walked around

Luka just stayed where she was, staring up at those huge engines with wide eyes. She'd never seen anything this massive or this impressive, it was absolutely overwhelming.

With most likely the friendliest departure Vestia would have had in at least a while, the cruise ship and all of its inhabitants that had chosen to stay, lifted off into the blackness (or, in the case of the star dragons', color-ness) of space. A few weeks would pass, and the ship would be reaching around the half-way point to its next stop, the sanctuary that they hoped would be the Guild of Scribes.

Not that it wouldn't be a rocky way, however, as Vestia would spot something odd. An odd cluster of rock and metal debris floated aimless through space, sticking out like a sore thumb and obviously not supposed to be there. Among that debris, was a single figure. That one figure, would seem to be nothing more than a young boy, with two pairs of wings stretched along his back, knocked out and drifting among the cosmos.

The Creator sensed it, and quietly she stood, her eyes narrowing in the direction of the boy, despite not being able to see through a wall.

Vestia noticed the strange figure, and also noticed the Creator's reaction. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" she asked.

Starr, in her normal traveling place on the observation deck also noticed the boy and the debris. She looked up then back to the mess before standing to head for the airlock. "I'm going to go see what this is"

"Yes." The Creator said dryly. She seemed almost tense on the subject, but was curt and to a point, as if she wanted it done with.

"Do you know him? He has a lot of wings like you," Vestia said to the Creator.

To Starr, Vestia said, "Maybe don't go out yet? I'm asking the Creator about this."

Starr paused and looked to the camera then nodded, going to the airlock to wait there. "Shuttle, or just me?" She asked, wanting to know if she should go out just as her dragon or take a shuttle

"I do happen to know him." She said, just as short as before. She seemed almost annoyed by his presence.

"Tell me about him, then," Vestia said impatiently.

"He is... annoying. But since I am like him, and there are many against him, he should not be too difficult to handle should he get out of hand." The Creator sounded very agitated.

"All right then," Vestia told the Creator.

"Okay, you can go pick him up whichever way you want," she told Starr. "Creator says he probably won't slaughter us."

"Probably?" Starr asked then chuckled and went in the airlock before shifting "Alright, let me out and I will bring him in"

Vestia would cycle the airlock for Starr, letting her out into space. "Have fun!"

Starr enjoyed the weightlessness of space. She was soon flying over to the unconscious male, watching for anything dangerous as she did. She looked at the debris for anything that might be needed before approaching the male to grab him by his arm so she would be able to take him back to Vestia.

Nothing seemed very useful, although Starr would notice that some of the metal debris seemed to be remnants of chain and cuffs, those of which having an incredible amount of runic inscription on them. The boy did not wake when she grabbed him, his wings bouncing a few pebbles away from them.

Starr took note of the broken runed chains before towing the boy to Vestia and into the airlock. After the cyclers pushed air into the room, she shifted to pick the boy up and headed for medical with him, if he didn't wake from just having air.

Even with air, he still slept, but of course the weight of his form and his wings was now heavy thanks to the ship's artificial gravity. The Creator soon came to greet Starr in a silent nod, but followed her out of concern, more for her than the boy. She seemed tense, as if ready to react at any moment.

Starr laid the boy down as gently as she could, looking to Asher to check him over for injuries or anything wrong physically "So you know him?" She asked the creator

"Yes. We're... acquaintances, for lack of a better word." The Creator nodded, "He is usually a bit... haughty, but not particularly violent... Usually. But with what has happened as of late..." She shook her head.

"There were broken runic chains floating around him" Starr said and looked to her then back to the boy "Let's hope what happened does not make him violent."

"Runic chains..." The Creator murmured, closing her eyes, "It seems the Family is expanding their hunt to the other Creators now..."

Starr nodded "It would seem so" she said quietly

Vestia would notify Kay and Asher to come check on the boy, quickly explaining about where the heck the boy had come from.

Asher was had been brushing glitter specks off himself, so he immediately headed for the med bay.

Kay headed for themedical bay, frowning deeply. Another creator? Great.

The Swarm was intrigued by this, pooling into their humanoid form and following Starr and the Creator curiously.
