Upon Silver Devil: Chapter Three

[I can't say i've ever seen him drunk actually. I haven't seen him in nearly ten years.] Hmm that'd be interesting. [He got tall.] He smiled oddly, trying to make light of what was clearly pretty awkward and difficult.

Rigel nodded and smiled "Yeah, he wouldn't purposely hurt our people both for future profit and because we will have the kids."

"All shall be well," Tala agreed. She looked at Rigel, "When we leave this space station, will you take the SIlver Devil back to meet Vestia?"

Rigel nodded "Yeah, Starr's about the only one that could teach those kids with any real chance of success, at least what they can learn from her. Plus it'll be safer for us on Vestia again."

"Good. Hopefully you will catch Vestia before too long," said Tala. "Your safety is paramount, and she is safe." She patted Rigel's shoulder, actually being somewhat gentle for once, "You are a fine captain, and you shall keep them all safe on the trip to Vestia. The crew elected you wisely."

Rigel chuckled softly and nodded, patting Tala's hand in return "Thank you, I will do all I can to keep everyone safe."

Tala did her cow smile at Rigel, then went to look at a clock. "We have many hours until we must depart with Hytar. Is it better to return to his ship at once, or to wait?"

"We can go over closer to time, when everyone goes to get the kids." Shane said, coming out of his room and setting a bag near the door.

Tala nodded. "All right. Until then, I suppose we can use our time however is needed. James, does the ship require anything for her voyage to Vestia?"

"Uh..." James frowned. "Rigel, you already had her refueled, right? We could probably use some more food and stuff."

"Right, refueling is first thing." Rigel said with a chuckle "We could stock up on food, we should ask if the kids have special food requirements" That could be taken care of with a call though.

"I can set up refuelling, getting us ready to depart." Luka was trying to make herself useful.

"Right, you schedule fueling, while I do the food shopping?" James said to Luka. "You guys are all invited. We can get the shopping done faster if we divide and conquer." He was using the phrase wrong and he knew it. Oh well.

"Right" Rigel said with a nod. He looked around then went to the medical room to peek in on Dawn and Esk "We will be doing a supply run soon. Tell James if there's anything you two want in particular" He said then smiled and went to go make that call to ask if the kids had special diet needs.

Esk frowned. It wasn't really practical to demand sweets was it? He looked to Dawn.

The Valet Ariston would answer the call to Hytar's ship, and confirm that no, the 'kids' would eat whatever the heck was given to them.

James put together a list of things they might need, and waited a bit to see if anyone would have some last minute suggestions.

Luka went to set up refuelling

Rigel thanked them and signed off before going back to the main area again "Alright, is that everything?" He asked loudly so everyone would hear "The kids don't have special requirements."

"Oh good," James said. "Oh, and I won't buy out the produce department cause Tala won't be here." He headed off, waving for somebody, anybody, to come with him.

"I'm gonna go with that idiot Android, just in case he gets himself impounded or torn apart or something." Esk decided. Also it meant he could restock on candy and popcorn. Priorities!
He nodded to Dawn and went to join James. "you'll just get yourself damaged if you go alone." he told him flatly.

James adjusted his badge. "True enough. I'd rather not get attacked by the crazies who frequent this place, so you're welcome to join me," he said to Esk. For once he wouldn't try to be mean to Esk, because he needed the protection! Whoo.

Esk snorted, checking his gun and nodded. "let's get this over with."

Rigel nodded "I will stay with Dawn for now." He didn't want anything special this time around.

James headed off with Esk to go shopping. He stayed near Esk, remembering that time when he and Esk had been attacked here, and remembering that android girl who some of Vestia's crew had rescued. This place was not good for robots.
He let Esk see the list, and led the way to the shopping center to buy everything they needed.

Esk kept his head down but James could probably tell that he was scanning their surroundings carefully while trying to look like he wasn't.

James glanced at Esk, yeah, that guy was watching for trouble pretty carefully. Probably watching for his dad, normally Esk didn't seem quite this cautious, right? "Worrying you'll run into someone?" he asked quietly.

"This place has shit security, it's a breeding ground for trouble." Esk muttered. "let's just get this done quickly and get outta this shithole okay?" After last time, and now Dawn being attacked he wasn't exactly feeling that fond of this place. He kinda wanted to smack those security mooks in the face repeatedly for being such cowards and failing completely to keep the peace.

"Sounds good to me," James agreed. It'd be nice for them both to not end up shot. He went to place an order at a counter, ignoring the trader's look of distaste, and maintaining an unusually subdued attitude.

Esk stayed close but did manage to add popcorn and various candy bars to their order. He had a massive sweet tooth okay?
