Upon Silver Devil: Chapter Three

[I can't say i've ever seen him drunk actually. I haven't seen him in nearly ten years.] Hmm that'd be interesting. [He got tall.] He smiled oddly, trying to make light of what was clearly pretty awkward and difficult.

Rigel shook his head and went to check on Luka and their position. He would let her go to get her clothes while he watched the ship.

Esk shrugged. "There's plenty wrong with me, or so my psych report says. Yet not enough to exempt me from military service, then again, they let Kay be a nurse so I don't think they have very high standards." Yeah he was actually okay with being considered wrong, or at least he was used to it. He killed things with a touch, of course there was something wrong with him!

Luka glanced over as Rigel came up. "What's up? Laundry day?" Yeah she'd hear Tala's bellowing.

"Yeah, I came to take your place so you could get your stuff in there." Rigel said and smiled at her.

James grumbled. "You're supposed to be insulted. You're messed up enough to punch a robot, and I pointed it out to you." He shook his head, "Oh well, at least I do know a way to get a rise out of you, even if I'm being nice and not using it."

Esk glared at James. "You're a dick James, I hope you realize that." Much as he knew James was doing pretty much what he did to everyone, trying to get a reaction, he still wasn't very good at NOT rising to it. "How about you shut up and finish your damn laundry."

James couldn't decide whether to be smug about getting Esk mad, or annoyed at Esk for being rude to him. "I'm a dick? So now the pot's calling the kettle black, huh? You know what I'm still not doing? Flirting with you. So be grateful."

Esk glowered. "Fuck off James."

"I'm doing laundry. You fuck off," James retorted. Maturity wasn't really his great strength.

The Silver Devil would reach Defiant at "night", when the lights in the space station were switched to a slightly warmer hue to encourage sleep. Of course, the lights were still on at full brightness, because why would a space station ever make itself a safety hazard just to imitate planetary conditions?

James was still being annoying to Esk when he could, because he was sort of mad at the guy, and sort of bored. He hadn't resorted to flirting with Esk though. Yet.

Tala mostly ignored any bitchiness on the ship. It didn't matter, it was just makes taking out their aggression on each other. Whatever made them happy, as long as they didn't hurt anyone or damage the ship.

Esk tried to avoid James, grumbling darkly to himself. He couldn't really keep away from him, so had resorted to just glaring at him. Not being able to punch him made it all the more irritating. A couple of times he'd threatened to taze the android anyway, it wouldn't hurt him, but it'd knock him out right?

Luka managed to avoid most of the drama by staying in the cockpit, which was good, because damn were James and Esk being annoying. More so than usual.

She pulled the ship in to dock.

Rigel watched the two, planning a way to end the fued before it developed further into a bigger fued.

James was smug about not being punchable. The tasing threats did make him nervous though, and he'd backed off a little after those. Still, he was being kind of a jerk.
But right now he didn't care about that, he was more interested in their triumphant return to Defiant. "Do you think that Hytar's here yet?" he asked Rigel.

Esk looked grumpy, not just because of James but because he really didn't want to have to deal with his father right now.
As soon as they were given the clear to leave the ship he would, hastily, attempting to put as much distance between himself and everyone else as he could.

Swarm shrugged. "It isn't a large station, we willl know soon enough." "yes, if he's already here we're sure to spot him." "What does he look like?" "Do you think he has a crew with him?"

Luka came down from the cockpit. "How long have we got till the meeting?" She asked. She was a little nervous.

Dawn and Rigel came to the ramp, checking the local time here against the time on the ship. "It's night here"

"We seem to be early for the meeting, we have some hours to wait, unless he has arrived early," Tala said.

"Hytar should have shiny scales on his face like Esk, I'm guessing?" James said. "He didn't inherit those scales from his mother, I'm pretty sure."

Luka nodded. "Yeah, long brown hair, a smug look on his face... they have the same eyes. I remember that much." She shook her head. "He had a weird way of speaking, like.. he was hissing." Eugh, she was wondering if she'd made the right call insisting they call this guy. He was not exactly a pleasant person.

"He sounds like he'll be easy to find then," James said. "Keep your eyes open, Swarm, I'm sure you'll find him soon."

"This shall be a most interesting meeting," Tala mused.

Swarm bobbled up and down once then scattered to go search the station.

"Why do you say that?" Luka asked Tala. "Curious to see where Esk gets his assholery from?"

Tala snorted. "That should be interesting to find out, but I was thinking as much of all the things you and Esk have said of this man. He will be without doubt most unusual to meet. Perhaps loathsome, but that is entertaining."

James laughed. "Yeah, we can compare notes on what we think of him later." He looked toward the airlock, "Think it's okay to go out there and look around before the meeting?"

"It should be alright, so long as no one breaks any laws or rules here." Rigel said and looked to James "Your badge?"

James sighed. "Right." He fished out his badge and pinned it on. "Guess I'll need an escort then, as I recall, the people here have a thing about robots."

Rigel nodded then chuckled "You can sick near me if you want."

"Thanks, man." James smiled at Rigel. "Anyone else wanna come with us?"

Dawn shrugged and glanced around. She wasn't sure if she wanted to wander.
