Upon Vestia: Chapter Eleven

She blinked and nodded, "Yea...?"

"I will asher." She grinned.

[We'll try to behave.] Kay looked innocent. [You won't punch me again right?] He smiled to Heny.

Asher laughed and left Heny and Kay to their banter. With Vestia's help, he would try to find Merith.

"And get my other hand casted? No way." She retorted, "I wont give you the pleasure."

Kay smirked. [what a shame.] He continued to lead the way to the holosuite then.

Merith was in an off-handed rec room, far down the halls and away from the normal hustle and bustle. Funnily enough he held Shock in his arms as they wandered down the corridors, setting the injured bird man in a seat as they entered the room. Shock dramatically flopped back with a hand on his forehead, "Oh, Merith!" He said in mock-breathless feminine voice, "Thank you for saving me from the horrid monster called social interaction." He then grinned.

"Shut up." Merith said as he retrieved a yogurt and spoon from a random fridge, but couldn't help but grin back at the avian, who seemed to be coming back to his senses since Merith had returned. Vanessa followed in right behind them, and the grin turned somber.

"Well... It's decided." The orb shifted into the bluish transparent figure of an arcane spectre as the anamcara sighed. "We're going to the Guild."

Merith's face fell. He seemed to be thinking, worried. Vanessa sighed again, "We knew this day would come. Be glad it won't be in vain -- Vestia will gain a powerful ally and the children would be protected by the Family's secretive adversary. The Family knows better than to directly attack the Guild of Scribes. It'd be incredibly stupid and taxing if they did."

"Yes, but... Vanessa, this could mean..." Merith paused, which gave Shock a very confused look, "Could mean...?"

Vanessa looked to the bird man, finishing his sentence, "There's a chance that Merith and I will pay for our crimes against the Guild with our own blood."

Shock tried to stand but was forced to sit by both the Keeper and the Entropium, "Why didn't you tell anyone?!"

"Because," Merith said quietly, "This is the best chance for Vestia's innocents to find sanctuary, and the best way for Vestia to gain weaponry vital for a battle against the Family. For the big picture, out possible deaths might be a small sacrifice for what's being gained."

"There will be a trial," Vanessa assured Shock, "We aren't certain we'll be executed... It's just a possibility."

Asher would spot the Keeper, Anamcara, and Avian. He hesitated, watching them. Maybe he should come back later; no doubt Merith and Vanessa had a lot on their minds right now.

All three of them noticed Asher as he passed by. Vanessa suddenly burst out laughing, the surprisingly bell-like chortle emanating from her lips. A rare occurrence, no doubt. "And then there's that controversy."

"You don't think he'd be swarmed with adoring sudden fans, do you?" Merith grinned, glancing over at the android.

"I am thinking of assigning Quinn as a sort of body guard, if only to shoo away the curiosity of the onlookers. He wouldn't be harmed but his presence would certainly make an excitement. Maybe they'll let us watch the seminar..."

"Now, it's rude to speak as if he isn't here. Asher, come in." Merith smiled warmly at the android, "What is it you need?"

Asher gave them a confused look. "Do I even want to know?" he asked dryly.
He looked at Merith, smiling slightly, "I'm here about what I said to you yesterday. I got to talk to Heny a bit more, and I feel like I understand her current situation a bit better now. So I want to amend what I said."

"Well, Asher, it should be known to you that there is a great argument floating around the Guild on whether or not later-tech androids have the sentience of Tier Two creatures, like dogs and other common animals, or the sapience of Tier Three creatures like most humanoids. Currently they are officially listed as Tier Two, but your... outlying presence that has the same amount of arcana as a Tier Three creature would cause a great rustle within the community. It is a very heated and prolonged debate, simply because pro-Second Tier individuals are against the idea of putting another race marked down as mostly enslaved, and another as a slaver species. Too much strife, we don't need more evil in this galaxy. But your presence would help the pro-Tier Three groups in their agendas, for certain." Vanessa explained kindly.

Merith nodded, before smiling at Asher again and shrugging, "If I had a quarter for every time someone has been against me, Asher, I'd be able to open up an old fashioned arcade with quarters to spare. Don't let it dog you, I'm used to it." He shook his head.

As they kept on walking Heny thoughts would get worse, and finding that wedding catalog severally didnt help her imagination...

Kay tried to ignore it, but damn she was thinking LOUD.
They reached the holosuite and he waved a hand dramatically.
[Holosuite!] pleasebedistractedpleasebedistracted.

Oh she was, by all the thing that could happen here >w>, "My my..."

Kay facepalmed. Not that kind of room Heny, not that kind of room.

but it can be! he could hear that giddy tone.

Maybe this was a bad idea. You need a cold shower. A lot of cold showers.

"Well that does sound complicated," Asher said. He looked concerned for a moment, then reminded himself that his goal was to see his species freed, and smiled again. "I guess this is the sort of drama I signed up for when I crushed my badge."
He looked at Merith, "I'm sorry for having been rude to you yesterday, and also I'm here because Heny really wants to have sex, and is probably currently shamelessly tormenting my boyfriend out of frustration. Please help."

She grinned, "I love cold showers though, make all the senses sharpee~."

Kay exhaled deeply. Damnit woman. You're terrible.

She laughed, "so says the guy that snuck off to do "paperwork"." Heny shamelessly snickered as her mind return to fhat

Shock was in the middle of drinking something when he spat out his soda and started laughing hysterically. Even Vanessa seemed to shyly smile at the thought. Merith looked a bit flustered, "She's always been needy, that one..."

"Maybe you shouldn't have built up such a reputation, then." Vanessa teased him. Shock opened his arms, "How about both you and Asher go together and have a-- Agh!"

He had to duck from a fireball that erupted from an unamused yet amused Merith, "Kay doesn't like me anyway. I think I make him sad." He snickered, "Alright, where is she?"

Kay flushed a brilliant colour and averted his gaze. Yeah, there was no getting out of that one was there? There was no sneaking involved. We casually sauntered off to do paperwork. He smiled coyly. Paperwork.. still funny yep.

"Mm it was where there no cameras yet wasnt it?"

Not everyone likes an audience Heny. He shrugged, clearly a little uncomfortable about all this. He looked embarrassed. Oops?

Asher laughed. "I'm just the wingman, okay? Don't go getting any ideas," he lead Merith toward the holodeck.

She giggled, "fair enough, but it probably disappoints vestia~"

Merith followed, waving goodbye to Vanessa and Shock, shaking his head. "I know I'm not the most modest of people but I certainly hope this won't be a routine thing from her..."
