Upon Vestia: Chapter Eleven

She blinked and nodded, "Yea...?"

"Vanessa insists that a proper Anamcara is mastered in all possible magics and should know the history of most civilizations as ageless arcana beings." Quinn said boredly, "The only thing I've found fun so far is voice and ambience magic, and that's difficult."

Ellie noticed Armin at the doorway. "Oh hey there, Armin! Come join us! We're just talking about how Quinn is a delinquent youth."

Armin looked a little bewildered but scuttled into the room and looked at Quinn curiously. "Delinquent? Why so?"

"That's why you make it fun" Shane said, pausing the game to glance up then to the door "Hey Armin" He said then looked to Quinn again "You have to learn it, so you make a game of it."

"I am not a delinquent!" Quinn said, before hesitating, "Unless you count Third. I just find class boring at times so I try to avoid Miss Venus at all costs. How do I make it a game?" She looked at Shane curiously.

"Depends on how complicated or simple you want to make it, the simplest would be a point system for a reward when you have learned certain things or chapters." Shane said with a shrug.

"If it is dull facts, you could think of it like a quiz show." Armin suggested. "Or perhaps an alternate method of learning may be required. Defiant has a holodeck that i am certain must have a great number of historical recreations. Why read about history, when you could experience it first hand?"

Shane laughed and nodded "Exactly" He said and grinned at Armin

"Hmm." Quinn took this into deep thought, smiling slowly, "I like that idea..."

Armin looked delighted. "I am glad to be of assistance then. "

((Timeskip to evening?))

(We had the meeting at 10 am)

(Did we want to do the standard thing where we just say what happened afterward, or did we want to actually play it out?)

(Actually my vote is to do a kinda "goes to meeting, x happens, returns to blah" sort of post from everyone heh. So we can move forward rather than sitting on our hands. I mean I assume everyone will agree right? Plot demands it.)

Everyone would gather together to discuss the best ways to protect the children from, well, everything. Even Asher showed up for a bit, because this WAS more important than his day off.

The group concluded that it would be best to send the children to be protected by the Guild of Scribes, despite the risk to Heny, Merith, and Vanessa.

Ellie would argue that the children really needed to be safe, and that was more important than any adult's life. (She thought that went double for adults who had lived for about as long as the universe had existed, but she was tactful enough to not say that)

Asher didn't like the idea of the Keepers and the Anamcara being put on trial, and vowed to do what he could to protect them, but fully agreed that the children needed to be safe.

Bianca ate nuts and watched in silence.

TIMESKIP - THAT EVENING

After the meeting, Asher had returned to cleaning atmospheric filters on Vestia's unused decks. He had spent the day in peaceful silence, not talking to anyone else, and felt much better for the chance to let his processes complete and his cores to slow their clock speeds.
He returned to the med bay after cleaning gross filter dust off himself and changing his clothes, feeling much more like his old self, and ready to handle the drama of his job again.

Matt and Kay were both agreed on their stance. The kids needed to be kept safe, they needed to be sure the scribes COULD be trusted with such a task and they would do all they could to keep the three adults safe, or at least reduce their sentence to something less awful than death.
They'd cross that bridge when they got to it.

Mourn didn't really care, but he was worried about Moone. Would Skye leave her with these strangers? Could they trust strangers? Mmmm.

Armin didn't attend the meeting, as it wasn't his business. He was just heading home right?

That evening.

Thankfully the rest of the day had passed fairly uneventfully for Kay. It gave him a chance to recover from the morning. Eugh.
He'd given up trying to comfort Shock, it seemed a futile task so why waste the energy? He had however found more work to do, or pretend to be doing.
He looked up when Asher came in and smiled softly.

[How was your day?]

Thaila wouldn't have much to say in the meeting and would retire early in his room, he flipped through a wedding catalog with a longing sigh at the dresses. This was one of the few times ie regreted shifting to male, there just not as many pretty things for this type of body, he closed his eyes whistfully wondering if he awaken powers would include shifting....

He opened, er really she did her eyes a surprise squeal escaped her lips at the sudden body change.

Asher smiled back. "It was lovely. I finally feel like myself again, which is a huge relief, and the atmospheric filters look brand new. How about you?"

Kay shrugged. [The usual here. ] He stood up and came over. [Shock is awake and while far from okay he's at least no longer catatonic and Heny is... remarkably good.] He decided not to mention Merith, that idiot's antics weren't worth remembering.

Matt had gone to get food, yes, food to sustain them through wedding catalogue hell. Arghhh.
He totally found a couple of beers too. He couldn't deal with colour swatches sober.

Thaila would hold this panic look as he clothing barely clinged onto her body, her new body. Shakily she would stand, attempting to keep the fabric on while standing in front the mirror. It of course didnt last as curiousity took over and she started to check herself out, nude. Her hands fiddling with womanly chest parts.

Matt walked in on Thalia, froze and stared at him.. er.. her.

"Uh... " Blink blink "What are you doing?"

A less then manly squeak escape her lips as she scrambled to cover up, her face flush deep red. "uh,uhm...well...uhm, it..looks like I can, uhm shift too..." She squealed with a stutter. "I, uhh, had to make sues, I uh wasn't, dreaming."
