You would notice the smaller ship among the giants, docked to the space port it was in search of new crew members after the last few... left suddenly.

Luka was up and about. Satare were tough, even after getting shot in the gut. She rushed to Dawn and pulled her into a hug. "You're safe, i'm so relieved you're safe!"

The Swarm nodded, it was a shame they lost the other girl, but the pandorian was safe, that was better than nothing.

Dawn smiled, returning the hug. "Hey, everyone." She said, looking around at everyone.

Acus growled and scooped Luka, "You need to fucking stay in bed." He snorted and carried her slung over his shoulder back to the med bay.

Vicky chuckled, "Nurse Acus is back at it... Sorry it took us so long, The cobalt ship is something we dont mess with." She said dryly.

"GET OFF ME!" Luka fought him, but doing so really hurt so she soon gave up. "You could just ask you know." She glared. "I wasn't going to sit in bed all day, I wanted to see Dawn come back damnit." She protested.

"You need to sit in bed all day, dawn can visit." He shot back, "dont make me sedate you again." He threatened.

Luka growled at him, grumbling in a steady stream of her native tongue. She huffed, folding her hands across her lap and sat in bed, looking pissed off.

Acus ignored it, "Did you take your pills or am I gonna have to repeat yesterday?" He huffed, looking to see if she ate her meal.

"Yes I took the damn pills, and I ate your stupid food." She snapped, she wasn't about to be bossed around by some alien. Sulking as she was, she really did look her age. The kid was way out of her depth. "I don't want to stay here, I feel useless." She huffed.

"And I dont want my pilot to rip her stitches." He snapped backed, turning on the tv screen, "Now hush ad watch something, I'll make sure dawn visits you." He mumbled handing her the remote even though he expected to have it through upside his head.

Dawn nodded and looked to Vicky "Acus said he would explain that a bit more on the ship." She said then shrugged a little.

"Yea, probably over some drinks once the two love birds are done bickering." She mused, "Please tell me your a medic." She asked.

Dawn nodded. "I know some basics and can learn the rest."

Luka didn't throw the remote, if she did she'd have to go get it again. She just glowered instead.

"Thank god, any thing gotta be better then mr. I lack bedside manners over there."

Acus returned back, "sorry abiliut that...anyway you wanted to talk yes?"

Dawn chuckled softly and nodded. "Well, it works, but that makes for bad feelings." She said then turned to Acus when he returned before nodding. "Yes."

Acus nodded and went to the kitchen, pulling out two glasses and some whiskey, "what has she told you of her past?" He asked.

"Not much" Dawn said, following him and taking a seat "About as much as you and the others have said about your own pasts."

He sighed taking a seat and pouring each a glass, "In the war...she stayed pretty free until the last two years, that when she went to a prison camp." He explained, "Wild fowl...they have these blood laws I guess you can say on such subjects."

Dawn frowned "That does not sound good." She said softly.

"No, it isnt. It pretty much states the person who frees them they owe their life to, in our case me saving her. The onlyway out is if she did a working contract to freedom with someone else." He took a shot of whiskey, "And well she got lucky, cobalt as much of a slaving bastard he is can also be the best one to make such deals with."

"So...by her getting captured she can actually become truely free?" Dawn asked, then shook her head and took a drink of the whiskey

"By their laws yeup, even though technically she was banish from the planet after the war due to the fact being if they killed her she woulda been a maytr. My home planet is really fucked up." He admitted.

"Really" Dawn agreed with a frown then shook her head. "Well, I'm glad that this will help her out."

"Yea, she'll probably be free in a few years and from there decided if she gonna stay or not."

Dawn smiled a little and finished the glass of whiskey she had. "Good, even if that means she can't travel with us anymore. "
