Upon Vestia: Chapter Twenty-Five

Starr shrugged and looked out the window again. "I don't know. I just want things to be normal."

"Oh." Moriah shook her head, the amount of money Vestia must have if she could afford to buy robots, install a holodeck, fill a library, and maintain a farm, well, it was a little mind boggling. "An entire farm on a ship. That's incredible."

Mourn nodded. "Girl medic say it so we... no have to make so many stop or something. " He shrugged again.

"So Vestia could just stay out in space for years, and the organics would still have food?" Moriah smiled at the idea. It reminded her of some of the Star Trek episodes she'd seen.

Levi smiled too. "We should go see this farm."

"you want see?" Mourn grinned. "Come come, we go see animals."

"Naomi, do you want to come see the farm?" Levi called.

"No," Naomi called back.

The two androids looked to each other and shrugged, then went to follow Mourn.

"What she say?" Mourn asked.

"She said no," Moriah said. Huh. She was starting to suspect Mourn must be deaf, or hard of hearing at least. Naomi hadn't been that quiet.

"She's not the most social person ever," Levi added.

Mourn nodded. "lot people here no like company. Come!" he bounded away, heading toward the farm.

The androids followed hastily. Mourn had so much energy! It was impressive.

Armin nodded. "A shame, but excellent to know they are well and safe. And that they know we are all alive too. " He hadn't taken his hand off her shoulder. "We shall see them again soon enough, it will be a wonderful reunion I am certain. "

"Yes, it was wonderful to hear their voices again" Starr said softly and leaned her head against his hand. "I can't wait to see them again."

Armin bowed his head. "Yes, and I am certain they are eager to be home too." He gazed out the windows at the planet below. It was a beautiful place from above wasn't it?
He was fairly content to just remain here with Starr, making small talk for as long as she needed to. "How long do you think we will remain here?"

Starr shook her head a little then shrugged. "I don't know. I am not a part of the plans being made right now."

Mourn led the way to the ranch, farm... whatever you wanted to call it and spread his hands wide as he turned to face the androids. "animals!" He declared.

Armin frowned a little under his mask. "I am certain that is not intentional, perhaps we shall have another meeting." He actually didn't mind meetings, he liked feeling involved.

Starr dipped her head then glanced up to him "I wasn't at the meeting. I had wanted to just be alone for a little while." She said softly.

Armin nodded. "Which is quite understandable. " He patted her shoulder gently. "Worry not, I am certain we shall know more soon. There is, I hear, talk of hiring the someone to help free those kept at the keep. I do hope they succeed, nobody should have to endure a life of servitude like that." He sounded grim.

Starr nodded and sighed "I hope so, there are many dragons there, if they are still there now and not moved."

"We must hope and have faith." Armin reminded her gently. "Every life freed from the bonds of servitude is a success"

Starr nodded then sighed "I wish they could all be free now, but it will take time."

Armin nodded. "They will be, some day Star Dragons will fly free once more." He gazed out at the sky. "And it will be wonderful."

Starr smiled softly then nodded and looked out too. She was silent for a while before speaking again "I may leave the ship for a little while. We need a home for the star dragons. We need a planet to live on that is our own again. Maybe even a planet the free androids can live on if they want to be away from the Terran empire."

"Are you certain that is wise or safe Miss Starr?" Armin sounded concerned. "If those who harmed you are still at large, they may try to take you hostage again."

Starr sighed then shrugged "I can't just hide either. It may not be safe, but then again, it could be the safest thing." She said then shook her head "I don't know, I haven't given it that much thought yet."

"Don't go alone." Armin advised. "And do not make any rash decisions while you are still hurting." He tried to hug her.

Starr dipped her head and nodded "I will give it some thought. I won't go alone." She promised that much, returning the hug as well as she could

Armin nodded. "Thank you" He let her go.

Starr paused then tilted her head as if listening to something before she closed her eyes to focus. "The babies called me" She said, smiling happily at that.

Armin smiled behind his mask, bowing his head. "What do they say?"
