Starr sighed and shook her head "I will never agree with any excuse to kidnap and sell others. I have only just calmed enough from the family's 'hospitality' to be able to not rage again." She said then looked to Claudia "If I were to see you as 'dirt and thugs' then I would be in that same category for the things I have done."

"That's not what some of your friends believe." Claudia smiled, still friendly, before sighing, "You know, a lot of us really don't enjoy it. If you could find a job for all of us that paid just as well, we'd LOVE to hear it. I think Matty would, especially. That's why he was hanging out with his brother. His bro said something about replacing magic users with their own magic, or something."

"Also jobs that dont have a list of species they won't hire." Marcus added firmly.

"Well, there's always another job, you could be hired by an assassin as transport, or as a bounty hunter crew. That pays well."

"Risky." Claudia replied, shaking her head. "Merc work would be difficult for such a big crew, and most of us aren't trained in the ways of the assassin..."

"Plus we would be stepping toes with the assassin guild, very much not worth it for us." Marcus explained.

Starr looked from one to the other then shrugged "Not if you are working with a known assassin. Bounty hunters have their own code to live by and may fit what your crew knows better."

"Hmm. Maybe." Claudia flicked an ear as her clear blue eyes looked at Starr in wonder. "But, we don't make the decisions. Matty does. If you want to change anything, you'll have to talk to him."

Starr frowned at that then sighed "I doubt I could talk to him without it becoming another argument." She admitted

"Oh, he's not that bad! But you probably did give him a bad taste in his mouth. Listen, he may understand your... Dislike for his profession, but that doesn't mean he sits idly by while people talk trash to and about him. But he really is a decent guy." Claudia smiled, "He might be a bit sour at first but if you can get him to realize you're not there to insult him further he usually backs off."

Starr sighed and looked to her again then around herself "I could try, but I doubt it will do any good." She said then sighed and shook her head "I did not trash talk him either."

"Maybe you didn't, but the people you've affiliated with did. Representation is everything to him." The bat woman fluffed out her feathers and fur. "Well, I could probably direct you to where he is if you want."

Marcus shrugged, "Well its a full moon Claudia, so they may not be walking folks around." He reminded her.

"Full moon is tomorrow night" Starr said and glanced around for the time "Or this coming night if it is past midnight now" She said then looked to Marcus again

"Oh! Then Matty's brother is probably bunkered up his lab rats somewhere where the moon is exposed. I think they're working on something... They'd be isolated too. I think I remember seeing their ship on that stranded rock off the bay."

Starr flared her wings and looked to Claudia again "I can fly out there."

"You do that. If you want some extra incentive, I'd recommend speaking to Ironscale. Matty has maaaaad respect for the snake. His opinion on this could potentially help you. He's probably wandering around somewhere nearby still. Anyway, good luck!" She smiled at her, beginning to stretch her wingspan.

Starr nodded and sighed "I guess it would do better to talk to Ironscale first. He seemed reasonable in the brig." Much more so that the flower girl had been

"Can I come with? Snakeskin owes me a shirt." He snorted, "And I have to make sure it not a touristy crap one." He grumbled.

Starr chuckled and nodded, looking to Marcus "Yeah, you were talking about going to get food and drink before I stopped to talk."

"Magnifico! Let's all find 'Scales!" The bat dipped over and began to walk. Her large wings hung from her arms like a long cape as her odd feet waddled across the ground. Her large ears flicked around like satellite disks as she opened and shut her mouth repeatedly, squeaks escaping her breath. "Hmm, hmm..."

Marcus causally put his hands in his pockets, it not that he was ashamed of his well toned body it just his wife would kill him or worse if he strayed from the straight and narrow. He had a gladiator tattoo on his right bicep and a few scars ran down his chest and back. Being in a calm mood his markings on his face and down his back were of a mute green tone.

Starr noticed his markings and tattoos, but chose not to ask about them since she had learned that some considered it rude to. She simply followed them as they looked for the snake

"I swear I dont bite...normally." Marcus chuckled noticing the looks, "Got any questions?"

"You were a gladiator?" Starr asked after looking at him again

"Ah! This way!" The bat said softly, leading them and allowed them to talk for a bit.

"yea, before it was offically banned by the galatic council to be a legal form of entertainment. I was in the field of medicine before I got whisk away." He sighed, "I was one of the "lucky" ones and fought well enough that they decided my genes should be past on." He snorted.
