Rogue Avian Station

Created almost half a century ago this station is not attached to Avia. Filled with mostly Avians and Family workers/followers this station holds many dark secrets and ties to the black market. Shockingly rich with culture it is a interesting site to visit if allowed.

"It's an honor to be here." Matthew replied with the same cool yet untrustworthy inflection, sitting down, and soon the guards followed, leaving Silv an empty seat with just one guard between her and Matt. "And please do."

Silv was quiet as she took her seat, letting Matt speak.

"Indeed. We summoned you here for a business deal, from our records and reports you had a run in with the keeper Heny...well we would like to offer you a chance of revenge." He mused, their meeting fading out into black. "Now I heard you want to speak to the Avians about their poison?" He said standing to leave.

"I do," Matthew said, standing as well, "I'm interested in what your exclusive poisons do?"

Softly the Avian male, the eldest of the group coughed then spoke, "Anywhere from death to helping enforce brainwashing, and if use in the right amount of small dose can heal cancer and the assort."

Matt raised his eyebrows, "That's a bold claim, there."

he pulled out a data pad and slide it over, "With research backing it." He said cooly, "The family themselves have used a few limit herbs in the past and can agree with it."

Matthew looked down, reading carefully. He leaned back, and nodded, "Alright. I like what you're selling. What's the deal?"

He admittedly gave a soft smirk as he suddenly said something in Avian. Silv eyes widden and obviously asked him to repeat it before slinking back, "Uh...sir." She said in a weak voice, "The...um closest...translate I can give is.. arrange marriage."

Matthew seemed to falter for a second, his face slackening as he processed the information. "Arranged... Marriage?" Matthew had never thought of marriage, really. There has been a handful of pretty ladies he had lain with in his lifetime but nothing particularly as close to marriage. He looked at Silv rather blankly, "Is it part of a tradition or something?"

"Y-yea, some tribes do it as a way to establish trade alliances.." She explained, "They...dont accept any other method of agreement if the item is valuable enough."

One of the other male nodded, "Wild fowl I am assuming?"

Silv nodded.

"Figures, you must of been raise temple side by the lack of tattoos."

Matthew frowned. Well, it was purely professional, perhaps? After all, marriage was merely a certificate... Yeah, that was all it was. His 'wife,' could be no more than a business partner. "Well..." He said thoughtfully, "I suppose..."

"The female would be able to train your men how to properly use the poisons." The elder explained, "She will also be a keeper avian hybrid so if...anything develops intercourse is possible." He said with a shrug but was surprise Matt was actually thinking of taking it, every other merchant ran when they heard of that offer.

Matthew frowned slightly. "Perhaps." Matthew's faced looked genuinely perplexed, "This is... Often?" He paled slightly, looking at the Keepers and Avians in front of him.

The keeper couldnt help but laugh, "Avian vessels are the only ones able to handle carrying keeper hybrids. Being able to shapeshift does have it perks after all, for some unknown reason they are hatch with mammal parts." He shrugged. "Gotta have someone to take over if some manic manage to kill you off, and it gets tiresome when your favorite female dies because of the magical drain."

"Ah... I see." Matthew said, still looking rather perplexed. "This is all... business, correct? I suppose there is little chance of me going back after this?"

The elder nodded, "For sake of apperance she will have to leave with you...but grandhatchlings and what not are not expected. Now if word of abuse comes back to us you would not like the results." He forewarned him.

Matthew frowned but nodded, "I have no intention of hurting a lady. I have just... never had the idea of an arranged marriage given to me as a form of contract before..."

"It works as a way to establish strong bonds between two tribes, and also it shows you actually want to make the contract and not be a useless flake." He said simply,So do you agree?"

Matthew hesitated one more time, before finally sighing, and holding out his hand to shake, "Yeah, I agree."

The male arched a brow but had this amused look as he shook Matt hand, "How long will you to stay?" He asked, causally nodding to the youngest one, a female who stood and left to go inform Matt future "wife" the news.

"As long as I need to. Otherwise, I need to stop by a local planet in a few days to sign off another agreement."

"A few days should be enough." He said with a shrug standing, "If you like you can meet her now? Or just walk the station."

"I will..." Matthew hesitated, almost grimacing, "Meet her now, if that is alright with you." Eugh, the thought made his skin crawl a bit. Still, he had heard of these business ties before, but it would probably be a rather strong tie he wouldn't cut off easily...

He nodded, standing he gestured for the group to follow, "It will be a simple ceremony nothing fancy." He informed Matthew as they went down to the common ground garden areas, some shouting could be heard in the distance as a group of mix age folks were playing basketball. He would note the female from earlier talking to another one..

Matthew followed, gazing at the familiar female and then turned his eyes over to the other. Was that her, he wondered, eyeing her down slightly but trying to look inconspicuous.

The female was short, about a foot shorter then him actually with a lithe slightly tone build, she looked to be mid twenties so at least he didnt have a child bride. She nodded and slightly followed the female to the group tossing the basket ball to the group of hatchlings. Her features were a well balance hybrid of the more 'normal' keeper facial and that of the Avians. Her feather like hair was of different shades of copper and blue matching what little feathers that went down her shanks, for the most part she could decently pass as avian as long as no one looked at her face. Like all mature members of the tribe she had her tattoos throughout her darken olive skin tone body.Each one holding different meanings she curiously studied Matthew as the leader spoke.

"This is Lai Wa'ki." He said, letting the captain introduce himself.

Matthew studied Lai just as much as she him. When he realized the woman was being introduced he started a bit before clearing his throat. He nodded his head only slightly, "A pleasure to meet you, Lai Wa'ki... I am Matthew Cobalt."
